Family-friendly holiday rentals in Downtown, Anchorage

Simon's place is such a gem and Simon is a wonderful host. We love staying there and walking right up to the ski lift!

This house was a wonderful place to spend a ski vacation at Alyeska. The kitchen was very well furnished and thoughtful things like a bluetooth speaker, dual washer/dryer, and boot dryer were included. The house is also the perfect location for apres ski to enjoy the high end hot tub and barrel sauna. The ski resort is any easy 4 minute drive with plenty of parking. A fun twist on skiing, the resort does not open until 10am, so we enjoyed many relaxing mornings with several pots of coffee before heading out. The Girdwood famous Double Musky Inn restaurant(great for steaks and deserts) is an easy 10 minute walk. There is a recreation path on the mtn road, so you could even bike to the resort if you wanted to. Be sure to stock up on groceries in Anchorage before heading to Girdwood as the town is small and does not have a full sized grocery.

Our family of nine really enjoyed our stay at Wendy's place. There are several things that are not common in a vacation rental. Our sons immediately picked up the guitar and also started playing the piano. Our grandson's favorite thing was the ice cream maker. (It might have been mine too!)

We had a wonderful stay here! Location was really convenient for so many things! Not in the best part of town but it’s tucked back enough into a little neighborhood that felt safe. Our kids loved the close proximity to a cool park, the fenced in yard and hot tub was obviously a big hit! The house was very spacious, so many beds, was great for a group. The house is stocked!!! You can tell it’s been truly lived in, not just whipped together as a rental. Everything was clean, and comfortable.

We LOVED the house! Great location and perfect for a group. Would stay again in either summer or winter! Super effective communication too.

Our stay at Caroline's place was wonderful. Caroline was communicative, provided things to do in the area and was flexible. She even worked with us on our check out because we had unique needs. Honestly, one of the best hosts we've had using AirBNB. She also helped the previous guests obtain their forgotten teddy bear while I was visiting. The cabin was clean, in a quietish neighborhood, and just want we needed during our stay in Girdwood. Everything was great from the Alaskan food items in the fridge on arrival to the bear safety items and educational materials. I hope to be back in the area and would love to stay at Caroline's again.

The townhouse was great! The townhouse super nice and conveniently located by walking trails. Easy checkin, comfy bed, and a nice view of Campbell creek. Thanks Jason!

I’m so glad I found Sasha’s place. It was clean, comfortable, and easy to check into thanks to clear instructions sent the day before. The host was proactive, responsive, and friendly. The space was cozy yet spacious, with a great washer and dryer, adjustable desk, comfortable bed, fast WiFi, and a hot shower. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

A lovely, very quiet and safe neighborhood. The studio apartment is nicely designed and has all the basics. It is at the back of the owners home, very private, with a back yard and forest view. It met my needs for a conference in Anchorage; nice to return to the quiet. It is conveniently located for whatever you want to do in Anchorage, and the host is very accommodating and helpful.

Nice, quiet and clean place, we stayed with 3 teenagers and 1 toddler, they all loved the place. Host was very responsive. I would recommend to family and friends, and definitely stay again.

We ran into a few issues while there but the hosts were always responsive and extremely helpful with what we needed!! The place was very nice and being next to a creek was great!

We were greeted by the host & 2 beautiful dogs. (The dogs were in a fence) The home was very private and the host went above and beyond with the amenities. We enjoyed our stay.

Spacious place to stay, near nice trails

We had a great stay! The host (Ken/Stephanie) was very responsive and helpful—when we messaged them late at night about an issue, they replied quickly. Overall the stay was enjoyable, nice quite place, ready clean house with 4 Bed / 2 Baths , overlooking the mountains and the positive experiences we had outweighed the issue. Another highlight was the friendly neighborhood. The neighbors were so kind—they even lent us hiking gear, which was a pleasant surprise! Overall, the positive experiences far outweighed the issue we encountered which was solved by Host. I would definitely recommend this place—it's not too far from downtown, offers a quiet environment, and again hosts very responsive and caring.

Sonja's airbnb was perfect for a solo work trip. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful during my stay, it sure felt like home away from home!. I think my stay was too short. I have to come back. I enjoyed cooking dinner in her kitchen. Sonja is a great host, she provided information in advance, was very warm and welcoming.

John place was just as described, we felt right at home. John is a nice host and responded right away. Location was great in the middle of town close to a lot of places that we went to. I would definitely stay again.

What a great stay! Easy to get down to Seward, out to the valley, and back to the airport. Quick ride to downtown. Easy peasy and such a comfortable spot. 10/10 would recommend!

Amy's Airbnb was exactly as described. The bed was very comfortable and the location peaceful and quiet yet only 20 minutes to downtown Anchorage. I arrived late so I was so happy that she provided coffee and creamer so I could have coffee in the morning. Of all the Airbnbs that I have stayed in all over the world, Amy's home has the best view! When you look out the front windows you can see the inlet and mountains in the distance. I took a tons of great pictures! Amy was always very responsive whenever I had any questions. I highly recommend this Airbnb and wouldn't hesitate to book another stay on my next trip to Anchorage.

Perfect accommodation for two people. Comfy bed, good kitchen facilities and living space. Great location just outside Anchorage with easy access out on to Seward highway, but also easy to get into town. We arrived in the dark and there was no number outside so werent sure if it was the right place, but would be easy to spot in the light! Looked after by Beau who was super helpful and friendly.

A great little spot close to downtown Anchorage! The space was clean and tidy. Sauna and pool table were really fun additions! For more than two people the space is a bit tight considering the bathroom is only accessible through the one bedroom, but we made it work just fine! For just two travelers it’s a perfect little pad though!
