Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Donnersbergkreis

This is an adorable cottage managed by lovely people. Thanks to Stephen, his partner, and his mother for their gracious hospitality! I am very grateful. This is a historic half-timber home with wood floors and stairs, high upstairs ceilings, and an updated interior. We found the bedding comfortable with bedroom blinds adjustable for sleep promotion, kitchen and bathrooms clean and stocked, patio delightful with sun and bird songs, and overall decor attractive and soothing. The air temperature is adjustable in the bedrooms and living room with both cooling and heating options. The coffee maker is a Nespresso type, and we appreciated the basketful of coffee pods and bottle of wine upon entry! This home is in a peaceful and safe location behind a locked gate with both the owner and the owner's mother to each side. The S-Bahn stop is a short walk away and will take you to central Frankfurt including Romer (download the RMVgo app to buy and load train tickets).

We stayed with 8 adults and 4 small children. We felt very comfortable. The children had plenty of space for exercise and in the evening we could grill with a delicious barbecue and make a nice fire in the evening. Nadine and Erik were very helpful and everything you needed was in the accommodation. Thank you Nadine and Erik for the great vacation!

We enjoyed our stay here. Very peaceful. Clean apartments and plenty of space for a family of five. Highly recommended!

We arrived at the cottage and immediately felt at home. Everything was as described or as shown in the pictures. Marianna was always easy to reach and we felt more than comfortable and welcome. Our dog also felt very comfortable there; that you bring your own blanket for the dog is a matter of course for us and also that you cover the sofa, for example, if the dog goes on the sofa is absolutely understandable. The house is in a quiet location and we were very quickly in the forest with the dog (where even a few elves live). All in all, the stay was very relaxing and simply great for us. We will definitely book with Marianna again, because we have seen a lot in the last few days, but not all the sights in the area.

Birgit & Tom were extremely amenable and responsive hosts and were gracious enough to let us into the Airbnb early. The Airbnb had great space and all of the amenities needed. I would definitely recommend renting a car to get around, but everything we needed was in a ten-minute-drive radius. The setting was very peaceful and private.

A great holiday home for family or friends! Everything is as shown in the pictures and even better. The highlight was the large terrace with enough seating for everyone. The house was very, very clean, no wishes were left unfulfilled. Helga was very friendly and warm, had a lot of useful information about the area and always responded in the shortest possible time. On Whit Monday, she even left a basket of rolls in front of our door. We felt very comfortable and plan to come back.

We had a very nice time in Haus Sonnenhang. We felt very comfortable there, everything was very uncomplicated, there was absolutely nothing missing in the house and the garden was quite enchanting. Especially for a holiday with a dog, we highly recommend it. Thank you!

From the beginning, even when booking, Cornelia was flexible and cooperative. We were very hospitably received. Cornelia and Michael's open and down-to-earth attitude made my company feel at home quickly. The house tour was also really necessary because there is a lot to do if you want to. The cottage is on the edge of a quiet village and it is wonderful to wake up in a terrain with a lot of private space. We were also lucky with the timing, which allowed us to attend a nice party with equally pleasant and friendly people from the region. Waldwiese 33! (thanks for the invitation!) There is also plenty to do for hikers and there are several picturesque villages on the Moselle less than an hour's drive away. A pleasant home for anyone who wants to explore the region!

Silvia's place is lovely and I will definetely recommend it to others travelling through Germany. The communication was easy and very friendly. The area is beautiful and there are many hiking trails and paths.

We had a wonderful stay at David's studio. We stayed for 8 nights and didn’t miss a thing. The studio was even prettier in real life than in the pictures. We especially enjoyed the beautiful view, the private sauna, and the cosy café. Since the studio is located in a small mountain village, you do need to drive everywhere, but the upside is that you’re surrounded by peace and quiet.

Was or is exactly the right thing for us. Very nice hosts, uncomplicated, simply friendly. Magnificent view. We'll be back.

I thought the place was even more beautiful than in the pictures. Beautiful private terrace, super good bed and everything is fine and of very good quality. Nice neighborhood and wonderfully quiet at night. I could really relax there. Nice contact with Romy-Penelope too. I'd love to come back.

We enjoyed very much. The host was very hospitable, friendly and very helpful. We were pleasantly surprised by the cozy apartment in which many old elements have been used. The garden was also very beautiful and equipped with a hammock, barbecue, loungers and swings. We didn't lack anything. Everything we needed was present or was taken care of. We have had a wonderful time.

Michaela’s apartment is beautiful. Lived up to its billing and has a spectacular view over the Rhine. Michaela couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. Can’t recommend highly enough.

karin was a lovely host. she and her husband were incredibly accommodating, helpful, and understanding as we navigated our journeys. they had wonderful recommendations, greeted us with complimentary food and drink, and did everything to make us feel at home in their home. ober-ramstadt was lovely and it was easy to travel to other must-see locations nearby. i would highly recommend this stay to any other travelers!

Beautiful apartment, great area, we have been there for the second time and will definitely come more often. Beautiful large garden, with donkeys and fireplace. Great starting point for hikes. Great host, happy to come again! :)

The contact was incredibly friendly from booking to departure. She responded quickly to messages and was also spontaneously available by phone to facilitate the search for parking. A few hours before arrival, we were able to easily move our check-in forward - it doesn't get better. Upon arrival, someone also came out directly to show us the way. From front to back, she was very eager, be it cozy additional blankets, a phone call the next morning, whether we slept well or the great, small breakfast plate. Just great! It's not excluded that we will come again in the summer! At the beginning of March, it was a little too fresh - especially to be able to use the beautiful outdoor area properly.

A pleasant house in a beautiful place. Everything you need is here. Communication with the host quickly and accurately. A place I would love to return to.

Wonderfully quiet place in a remote village. High in the sky, you may occasionally hear a plane, a car or a tractor passing by, but otherwise it is mostly the birds. It is a very cozy wooden cottage, very solid, and that is mainly heated by the wood stove, where plenty of wood is available that can be used, with tondel and small pieces of wood to get things going. Only in the two bathrooms (upstairs and downstairs) is electric heating, so you will not get cold. The living room area is a bit dark and could use a bit more lighting. There is no beautiful (not necessarily ugly) view, but the peace and quiet you have there is wonderful, although sometimes with the wrong wind you can vaguely hear the blades of a modern windmill. Not disturbing otherwise. Next to the door is a typical German restaurant and not bad, but also not 'haute cuisine' of course, for that we have other cities in the world. Without a car, it's far from amenities. Great!

We would describe Harald's place as a beautiful spot to go glamping, with the luxury of a normal roof, soft beds, a private shower and toilet and the option to cook. Absolutely beautiful area and Harald is very responsive and had some good suggestions for us to do around the area. There's a fire pit available where you can roast your meat above fire, when it's not raining. What we did not expect was the 40 fishermen at 6 AM who will stay around the cabin until 6PM, who use the public toilet right below the cabin. From the initial photos and location it wasn't clear that this was a fisherman's spot, and our son was looking forward to be able to swim close to where we sleep, which was only possible after 6PM. It was his idea to go camping, we didn't want to sleep in a tent so we settled in between :) Turned out our son had a different idea of camping so we left early. Still a lovely spot!

Lovely house in the countryside with a sauna and lake! We used the paddle boards and had visits from the friendly on site dog, Lucky. Great Greek restaurant nearby (10 mins walk). Really enjoyed our stay and such a friendly host. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

We spent a family vacation in Ölbronn. We were six adults and one toddler. We felt very comfortable, everything was available. The kitchen was very well equipped and the outdoor area was our favorite place. Everything our daughter could wish for was there - from a cot, to a high chair, some books, to her highlight - a swing. We took two excursions: to the monastery of Maulbronn and to the nearby lake with a visit to a restaurant. That was also very nice. Karin was always easy to reach, responded quickly and very kindly and gave us many tips in advance :-) so thank you for an all-round successful vacation!
