Cottage holiday rentals in Dittisham

Wow we loved this place so so much! Firstly it was within the most peaceful setting you could imagine. Sitting out in the garden was so serene, and the wood fired hot tub was a fun bonus! Inside was immaculate, so cosy and homely! Absolutely everything you might think you need was supplied! The upstairs bedroom/bathroom was dreamy! Surrounded by lovely walks (the coastal footpath was only 5 minutes walk away) and close by to some gorgeous Devonshire villages/towns, I genuinely couldn’t fault this property! Hopefully we will be back soon! ☺️

Just home after a wonderful week at Clifford Barton cottages. It was so welcoming, a home from home and very restful and peaceful (even with an energetic toddler who absolutely loved all the space, bikes and the mezzanine playroom!) Beautiful location with walks and bike rides a plenty. Vicki and Gavin were very welcoming and friendly, nothing was too much trouble and Vicki even made a Birthday cake as it was my husband's birthday whilst we were there. We'd definitely love to go back.

As a group of four we had an excellent stay at Briardene. The cottage had plenty of space and was extremely well equipped and very clean and stylish. The hot tub was lovely and the quiet nights enabled a good night's sleep. There were two parking spaces which was great as the village is small with narrow roads. The village pub was warm and welcoming and the food was great. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Katharyn and Ben were amazing hosts. Really friendly and helpful, the property is full of character, comfortable and with everything you need for a quiet country getaway. We loved sitting in the garden room at breakfast time and chilling in the hot tub in the evening sunshine. The beautiful beach of Beer, and the pretty fishing villages along the coast are no more than a 30 min drive away so it's a great place to base yourself for some exploring too. A wonderful find and highly recommended! Thank you!

What an amazing stay! It was everything we were hoping for and more. The cottage had everything we needed and also some nice personal touches too. It was so relaxing sitting in the hot tub, listening and watching the birds . The weather was a little unsettled for us but not a problem, as we could sit in the summer house, and look out at the lovely view and our neighbours the sheep! Claire was very responsive with messaging and will look forward to visiting again soon. 🙂

Had a lovely few days away. Chris' cottage is very peaceful and had amazing views whilst relaxing in the garden. The cottage itself is very clean and homely. We would definitely return and recommend to anyone looking to come to Devon.

Fantastic house on a peaceful road, nicely furnished well kitted out. Comfy beds and linen. Hot tub was super a really relaxing holiday.

Emma and Kevin couldn't have been more welcoming. Oystercatcher is a lovely place to stay and the private hot tub was perfect for us. Kevin made sure it was ready for when we wanted it. Touches such as the tea/coffee/ milk/Luscombe Elderflower Fizz made the visit and the homemade biscotti was perfect. Even the dog had a bag of treats. There was alot of information about the locality, including walks from the property and personal recommendations once we arrived. The location is very peaceful and the garden was beautiful. We will stay again.

Thyme cottage was such a beautiful and peaceful place to stay. The cottage is characterful and comfortable and well equipped. The fireplace was a wonderful, warm touch. The village of Woodbury Salterton is charming and friendly and close to Exeter. The Diggers Rest is a must! Stop in for a friendly pint or even better for a meal. The food is delicious and beautifully presented. Thyme cottage will be among our top stays.

Cute sea side themed cottage with views of the Ley and all the birds to the front and the prom and beach 20 feet from the back gate. Stunning coast line, great walks, good food nearby and only 20 minutes from Kingsbridge and 30.from Salcombe. Basic holiday kitchen, cosy comfy front room, large main bedroom and adequate 2nd with partial view of the sea. Parking permit for right opposite very convenient for us and the dogs. We had a super week, thanks Eva and Richard.

Had a lovely couple of nights at coastguard cottage - loved falling asleep and being able to hear the sea! Great location with walks and beautiful beaches nearby. Lots of beach facilioties on the nearest beach because of the holiday camp - but secluded coves just over the hill on the coastal path if you wanted to be on an empty beach. Burgh Island round the coast absolutely delightful. The house was bright and cheery and had everything we needed for a perfect stay! Zoe and Charlie super helpful and welcoming hosts. Really loved it!

We had a lovely 1 week stay in the cottage, with our Cavapoo. It was more spacious than appeared in photos and was beautifully renovated to a high standard. I was able fit comfortably under the rafters (I'm 6'3") and the bed was very comfortable. The Little thoughtful gifts were very much appreciated. We only used our car twice during our stay, as there are lots of local walks and everything we needed was within walking distance. We mostly self catered and found almost everything we needed. Unfortunately though the 'freezer' is actually a small icebox in the fridge. So our frozen goods had to be eaten quickly 😂 It is genuinely though a' home from home ' and Brixham is now our new favourite place and we will definitely be back to Smugglers Cottage.

Ben's cottage was stunning — we loved every moment of our stay. If it were possible to give 6 out of 5 stars, I would have. The surrounding area was breathtaking, we enjoyed wandering through the fields and visited the vineyard, where we sampled some fantastic wine. There were also some excellent local pubs close by, all serving delicious food. Everything felt convenient, peaceful, and just perfect — there wasn’t a single thing we could fault. We’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable getaway.

We loved our stay in this beautiful cottage. Gill made the whole experience extremely easy and peaceful. The house was well equipped. It was lovely to receive a welcome pack. Wish we could stay longer. We highly recommend it.

We had such a fantastic stay! It was everything we hoped for and more. The house was spotless, beds super comfortable and just had a real home from home feel. The grounds were spectacular and the position of the house was very private which was nice. We would definitely stay here again, what a gem!

What a treat! We had a 4 night stay in this beautiful house where every last detail has been thought about to add to your enjoyment and comfort. Everything was first class, very comfortable beds and pillows, spotless bathrooms with proper size towels, plenty of good cutlery and tableware, utensils for cooking if you wanted to cook. The house was a delight with lovely deep sofas overlooking one of the balconies to the ever changing landscape of the waters beyond. It would be hard not to enjoy whatever the weather throws at you! Moorland View Cottage is an absolute gem of a place. It’s so charming and very tastefully furnished, and we had a wonderful time. Suzy was such a friendly, proactive and kind host. The linens and kitchen equipment were all of high quality, the little garden was very pretty, and we all slept very well in the peaceful village of North Bovey. The rooms aren’t huge but they are very cosy and immaculately presented, with lovely views. The local pub The Ring of Bells has friendly service and top-notch food. Last but not least the book selection at the cottage was very well chosen and extensive, including loads of information and maps about the local area. Suzy sent a very helpful email before arrival about the local sights, shops etc. All in all a very memorable stay. We loved it. Thank you!

Thank you for a lovely stay at The Hayloft. We were made to feel very welcome from the beginning and throughout. The hamper was lovely, the cottage cosy and the garden was amazing - the kids had a great time running around outside and in the games room, and the dog (who was on his first ever holiday) also loved all the space and freedom. We used the BBQ hut for my husband's birthday on the second night with some friends and their children and it was great to celebrate in a private space like that. The location was peaceful - it really felt like we were away from it all - but close enough to local attractions and beaches, we enjoyed trips to Dartmouth, Torquay, Paignton, Totnes and the River Dart Country park. Having the EV charger on site was a great benefit as it meant we could travel with the certainty that we could charge up on our return on each day. Our hosts were friendly and helpful and showed real care for us and our children. A lovely stay and would highly recommend.

Thank you Steph, we had a lovely week at your beautiful home, great facilities and nice to have TVs in two of the three bedrooms, treats and towels and blankets for the dog was also a nice touch. Allocated Parking for two cars was also great. The views were spectacular but within a quiet setting. Lots of good recommendations from Steph for dog walks and places to eat. The property is within a short drive to Dartmouth Harbour which is a real gem. The weather was glorious, we took a ferry to get on a steam train to Paignton, spending a few hours there and went on a hour cruise around Dartmouth, taking in spectacular views of the harbour and Dartmouth Castle. We walked to the Green Dragon Inn for dinner and found this a most welcoming place, we were impressed that they rang back when I tried to book and no one answered, sensible to book in advance if you can! A great place to stay, comfy beds and supermarkets nearby. Thanks again Steph for a great stay!

Really nice cottage with a fantastic view of the river. The kitchen was really well equipped. Kingswear is a fantastic base for seeing the area: Dartmouth is only 10 minutes away by ferry, and you don't have the hassle of driving around South Hams. Would definitely recommend

We absolutely loved our stay here - from the very warm welcome from Gill and her gorgeous pup Riley, to the welcome foodie bits along with a homemade lemon drizzle cake. Gill had great recommendations for local dog friendly beaches and was just a pleasure to meet and chat to. This was a perfect location for a local wedding we were attending and the milking parlour was such a comfortable and cosy base for us. The bed was extremely comfortable , and with our young baby, the room was spacious and we had two very restful nights. Thank you for being such a wonderful host, Gill. This place is the ideal rural escape with lovely modern comforts.

We had a lovely stay. Felt right at home as soon as we arrived. Everything was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The information/instruction folder provided was very helpful and the part telling the story of the house was most interesting! Lovely friendly village in beautiful surroundings. Highly recommended. Lucia’s place is a very stylishly converted barn set in a private garden with beautiful countryside views. It was a real privilege to spend a few nights here. It’s walking distance to scenic trails & the local pub and not far from the beach. There is a fully equipped kitchen and cosy wood burner. The bedrooms are extremely comfortable and perfectly thought out. The property is fantastic and Lucia’s hospitality was flawless.

A fantastic apartment in the heart of Brixham. The view from the kitchen is absolutely stunning and if you're luckily enough to enjoy some sunshine the patio is fabulous too. Brixham itself is a wonderful harbour to explore with great walks to enjoy from the town itself. Lots of steps to and from the apartment but just adds to the adventure. Thank you for a great stay!
