Holiday rentals with a patio in Dikwella

Wonderful spacious place with fresh renovation and mesmerizing ocean view. Very easy to to contact your host and staff. Lots of places around, 1 minute to the ocean. There is a minimum set of detergents - shower gels and shampoos. Clean enough, but the kitchen is starting to feel a little musty. For this season, it can look a little expensive and I want to expect more details at this price category - slippers, bathrobes, toothbrushes, more towels, shaving accessories, but these are more points for improvement, still this is an apartment, not a hotel. 11/10 :)

Where to start.. In my 10+ years on Airbnb, I have never come across a property like this. The hosts and their kids are just exquisite. They go above and beyond to make you feel at home and cater to your every need. The apartment is brand-new, super clean, and has all the amenities needed at the same time the lush jungle and green surroundings give a very tropical vibe. Working from home cannot be better, more peaceful, and private and with high-speed internet. The family loves to cook a meal for you, so you can keep on working or simply enjoy a relaxing stay. There is also the possibility to rent their scooter or tuk-tuk, make use of the laundry services and enjoy a yoga session on the rooftop deck. It's situated in the middle of the jungle, with monkeys and all kinds of lovely creatures. We love to surf, and with the beach just 5 mins scooter ride away, we felt like we had everything we could dream of. We will be back for sure!:) Thank you Nalaka and family for the wonderful stay!

Eva is very friendly, helpful and replied to our messages quickly. The property manager Tharushan was very friendly and helpful when there were powercuts, he would let us know or turn on the generator if we needed it. He showed us all the facilities when we arrived. The apartment is beautiful, spacious and such a luxury to stay in. The shower was hot and powerful! It was very handy having the AC and fan as it was really hot during our stay. The neighbourhood is very peaceful and the neighbours are very friendly. There is a restaurant nearby (30 second walk) and their Sri Lankan curry buffet is a must-try! We were sad to leave this luxury apartment.

Danuka was a great host, very flexible with check in/out times and let us drop our bags off early. Helped us rent scooters and even source a lost parcel. Thanks for a great stay

I was searching for a place to establish a home base for my trip when Ann's property caught my attention. I was captivated by what it had to offer in the photos, so I booked it with great excitement. Ann was incredibly responsive and helped me plan my trip accurately by being flexible with my dates, ensuring I felt right at home from the very first day. When I arrived, I walked onto the balcony, which provided a serene view of the Ahangama ocean. The apartment was exactly what I wished for and more. It was very clean, tidy, and thoughtfully furnished. The apartment truly felt like a home, helping me unwind each day and wake up refreshed for the next. I would also like to extend a special thank you to Ann and her team, including Mane, for being exceptional hosts who always greeted me with a smile and provided thoughtful care. Lovely & calm full apartment with AC, Hot water and mosquito net. The family hosting is lovely, but the apartment is kind of separate with even a rooftop access for smokers. For me, perfectly located away from the busy side of town and yet still close enough to go surfing within 5min by scooter to Hiri Beach. Price for quality wise one of the best apartments I stayed in. Would book again, no doubt.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Tammy's property. The setting amidst the paddy fields was stunning, and we loved seeing the peacocks, monkeys, and diverse birdlife. Adding to the charm were the lovely dogs on the property, Unnabala and Suddhi. The property itself is amazing, but what truly elevated our stay was Charith, the caretaker. From the moment we arrived, his warm smile and positive attitude were so welcoming. His cooking was exceptional – every meal was delicious! Beyond that, his patience and willingness to help with anything we needed were truly remarkable. Charith's care and dedication made our trip so special. While the location is beautiful, it's Charith who would bring us back to this Airbnb without hesitation on our next visit to Sri Lanka. He is an invaluable asset to this property.

We ended our trip to Sri Lanka with a stay in Our Garden. The property is in an ideal location, just a short walk from restaurants and the beach but still quiet and peaceful. It was very clean on arrival and is beautifully decorated, with all amenities you could need for a stay. We were warmly welcomed by Sajeeva, who was very helpful with tips for our trip. Overall we would definitely recommend!

Gads Villa is a truly magical place. The gardens are exquisitely landscaped, and the giant Velvet Apple tree is really a wonder to behold. The pool has a shallow section which is perfect for little ones, or for adults to lounge in. The kitchen is huge and had everything we needed (important when traveling with 4 youngsters!). The bathrooms are likewise huge and very prettily set out. Beds are comfortable and the fans were sufficient to keep us cool at night. The neighborhood is very quiet and safe, a few minutes tuk tuk ride into the main part of town. I personally found it very convenient to have yoga and a little spa within a few minutes walk. Secret Beach is also only a short walk away. Sahan and team were super helpful, and breakfasts were delicious. All in all a fabulous stay.

This was our favorite place we stayed in Sri Lanka during our trip! Beautiful, welcoming, clean and comfortable home with attentive staff. Super close to the beach. Just on the other side of the street. They also let us check in early which was helpful to have a place to store our luggage.

The last 10 days at Long Tea House were sublime. Starting with the booking process, Cecilia was extremely helpful, rapidly responding to questions helped us get a really good sense of the property and make a decision with confidence. The villa itself is new, in excellent condition and blessed with amazing views of a paddy field over which the sun rises. It feels like you’re living in a painting. Despite being so close to nature, the inside of the house remains very comfortable, never getting hot or humid and always pristinely clean. The kitchen is well appointed and highly functional. The bedrooms spacious and airy. The showers strong and warm. The pool is excellent. Asitha is a true gem, very obliging and tended to literally every need with characteristic Sri Lanka gentleness and positivity. Saman was always on call to make sure we had what we needed. The team arranged transportation at a moments notice so we never felt isolated… other than when we wanted to be. Just a perfect stay!

Beautiful place in amazing area. It’s a great escape from the hustle of city and you are still close to the Weligama and Ahangama (both approximately 10 minutes ride). Totally recommend

My family and I would like to thank David & Sameera for allowing us the opportunity to stay at this beautiful place. The villa is exactly like the pictures ,had everything we needed and more , the views are incredible the perfect relaxing place. We will definitely come back , has everything on your door step within walking distance to some beautiful bars and restaurants. We also felt very safe with the security in the evening which is a wonderful service .

We spent 7 nights in this Villa and left very happy! Beautiful garden and nature, great location. Kavindu was very helpful and response very quickly to any request:) Almost in front of the villa Murphy restaurant has very good food! 👍

Very nice stay with this lovely family! They are very loving and truely cared about me. They made some food and shared it. Everything what I needed was there. Would highly recommend as a homestay.

Chandima was the best hostess. She was friendly, helpful and we did not lack anything while we were there. We felt right at home and would definitely choose her place again when visiting Sri Lanka again!

Pavi, Bathi and their family and friends are the loveliest of people, always ready to help or offer advice when needed. Our apartment was situated on the 2nd floor and was lovely, bedroom and bathroom bare very large as is the kitchen diner, if there was anything you needed Pavi got it sorted asap, the grounds are immaculate and have a plethora of wildlife wandering the grounds, the use of the swimming pool was a great addition. Polhena itself is situated in a great spot for travelling out from and has a wonderful little beach(it does get busy at weekends). Shops are in walking distance as is the main town of Matara or a short fun tuk tuk ride. Colombo and other places are easily accessible via buses or train, both a fun way to travel. We will be back.

This is our 2nd stay at Sha Villas by Ushaan. Overall, Five-star host and a brilliant apartment! Check in and check out is super easy, and Ushaan is a very communicative and thoughtful host. It is a beautiful , spacious place with great amenities. Immaculately clean and a very convenient location. We would book again for our next visit.

I highly recommend Sanjayas place, it is in a quiet and beautiful area with its own private entrance, walking distance to the local restaurants and beaches. The room was perfect with a great terrace, Sanjaya and his family are wonderful. I hope to be back again.

Our stay couldn’t have been more amazing. The apartment is so beautiful and comfortable. It’s spotless clean, great kitchen facilities and ice cold AC. It’s located right in front of a little local beach where there is a lot of boats docked which is stunning for sunset. The locals around are all so friendly as well. Such quick and helpful communication from the host. Couldn’t recommend enough it’s an absolute steal for the price.

The villa itself is a little paradise: well furnished, very well maintained and designed with a lot of love for detail. I was particularly impressed by the garden with pool – a real oasis of tranquility, perfect for relaxing. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, with a magnificent view of the countryside. The beach can be easily reached by tuk-tuk – the trip takes about 10 minutes and costs only around €2.50. Perfect for spontaneously taking a trip to the sea. The airport is about 1.5 hours away, the transfer costs about €75. Ideal for a relaxed start or as with us at the end of the trip. Communication went smoothly – the host speaks English and German, the reception on site speaks enough English.

Cleanest place I’ve stayed in Sri Lanka. Location was a bit hard to find via TukTuk but the host was responsive and really helpful. Nice garden surrounding property and very quiet location just a short walk from the beach.
