The suite is a newly renovated, tastefully decorated, one bedroom basement suite, in a 1927 character home. Complete with all modern appliances, as well as some antiques added to enhance its charm. The ceiling is 6 '4" ( 1.93M) so if you play basketball this may not be a good match for you. Very centrally located on a quiet street, 2 blocks from the seawall and marina, walking distance to DT shopping, restaurants, pubs, Art Gallery, Port Theater, etc. 1 block to bus stop, 2 min. drive to ferry.

Just 2 blocks up the hill from the departure bay ferry terminal. 2 bedrooms upstairs 1 bedroom downstairs plus bunk beds in the family room. stylish well equipped kitchen with natural gas range. Large deck with partial ocean view, outdoor dining and top of the line BBQ. Comfy living room open to kitchen with Apple TV, Netflix, Disney, cable, paramount, Amazon prime video, Bose sound system. Large family room downstairs with comfy sectional, and all the same up upstairs plus video games

Imagine waking up to the sound of waves lapping on the rocks, the sunrise mirrored across the water. Take your coffee out onto the private oceanfront patio where you can lounge in the hammock. Kayaking around Departure Bay is easy as the kayaks are kept just above the high tide mark, grab life jackets and paddles from the yoga room and you’re good to go. Matt’s place has a stunning view! The kitchen was beautiful and well equipped. The living room and kitchen both had a view of the water. The deck had patio furniture that was very comfortable. I sat out both mornings, drank my coffee and read my book. It was beautiful! All three bedrooms were upstairs. One thing to note is that there is a lot of stairs and there are people living below. It was easy to find. They have specific parking for two cars for their guests.

It was really lucky for our family to stay at Laurie's place during our stay on Vancouver Island. Laurie was super responsive and extremely kind. The house itself was much more beautiful than I expected. Everything in the house was very new and clean. We took full advantage of Laurie's house. We traveled north and south easily. Moreover, there were so many local grocery shops, restaurants, and famous parks. We had wonderful memories at Laurie's place. Thank you Laurie!

Lisa was very friendly and accommodating. She had some lovely snacks ready for us and helped us to get settled in for our stay. The suite was very clean and had everything we needed with some helpful supplies in the kitchen area. The bed was so comfortable and it was nice and quiet at night. The neighbourhood felt safe and tucked away but still close to all the amenities. The one thing that surprised us a little was that the driveway is quite steep- a bit of a climb to that pretty view! We had to remove our bike trailer to go up the driveway. Not a big deal, just something to note. If you’re driving a lowrider or pulling anything behind your vehicle you may need to park on the road.

Wendy’s place was perfect. Spotlessly clean. Extremely comfortable for four adults. The beds are very comfortable - not too hard, not too soft! Beautiful rooftop patio. Very close to the harbour, restaurants and coffee shops. Very highly recommend this place!!
