A lovely studio with a spacious living room, private (separate) bathroom, sleeping loft (note: narrow steep staircase) and private outdoor terrace with seating and parasol. The studio has a spacious kitchen counter with various kitchen facilities. The studio is remarkably light through the many windows. Please note: due to the narrow and steep stairs to the sleeping loft, it is not suitable for the elderly or disabled.

House of 100 years old is located under the mill and is cozy and comfortable. A five-minute walk and you are in the center of Alkmaar. Rent a boat and see Alkmaar from the water. In the street behind the cottage is a nice, large playground, the "OKB". The bus stops in front of the door. Paid parking in the area and opposite the house. Free parking within walking distance. Outside there is a terrace with 2 seats and wide views over the countryside. Supermarket within walking distance. Here you can buy your freshly baked rolls but also sustainable Texel's meat in the morning. Several eateries and just outside the village of Novalishoeve for a nice lunch or coffee.

Cat & Breakfast, the B&B for cat lovers!

The Cat & Breakfast is the place for people who want to get away and love cats. Our cats Dix, Ted and Moby can visit you through a (lockable) hatch. In addition, you can get cat-friendly inspiration. The sustainable breakfast consists of homemade vegan waffles, an organic egg, organic cheese, fruit, jam and sandwiches. From the C&B, you can reach the IJsselmeer in 15 minutes and the North Sea in half an hour. Nice towns nearby are Medemblik, Enkhuizen and Hoorn.

Our cottage "2nd Heimat" is the largest in the park "de Watersnip". It is located in the coastal town of Petten near the beach & is nestled in the typical Dutch countryside. A small shell path leads to our special retreat, which offers some amenities. The park in which our house is located also has many leisure activities (pool, etc.) that are available for our guests. If you have any questions about this, you can inquire at the reception.
