Muskrat Landing was a home away from home. The outdoor firepit was amazing where we spent much of our time during the evening. Dry wood and fire starters in the woodbox outside. Board games when it was raining. We utilized the full kitchen for all of our meals. Spices and condiments were very appreciative. The house was clean and very beautifully decorated. The beds were so comfy and linens so white. We wanted to utilize the kayaks, but the weather was not so accommodating. Thank you Tom and Kat for the personalized gift basket with the goodies and those gluten free cupcakes!. What a surprise that was!!

It was a perfect place to finish my trip to Harrisburg. Was looking for a quiet place kinda off the beaten path and this place was exactly that. It was nice to look outside the window and see the creek. Look forward to staying here again and with better weather to enjoy the fire pit and picnic area. The host was great and very responsive.

This is our second stay in this house. When we are in the area we will continue to stay here. Cindy is great to work with. She is quick to respond and takes care of things quickly as well. We experienced a snow/ice storm while there and Ralph came out to pretreat the deck, stairs and walkway for our safety.

Yellow Breeches Cottage - Dog Friendly

The place is nice and comfortable. It is right by the river and it is very peaceful. Me and the dogs had a very good time. I have to say I had a hiccups during my staying. The cleaning person did not show up the day prior of my arrival, I did communicated to Rachel and she was so nice, caring and the response I received from her was exceptional. It was so nice and easy to communicate with her. Overall everything was great and do recommend this host.

Mohawk Cabin

Mohawk Cabin sleeps 7, includes a fire ring and a picnic table, and is very close to the lake. Please note that camping at this cabin is "primitive"... no water, electricity, or bath facilities. A privy is available in this camping area. Potable water, toilets, and showers are available on the other side of the lake. The Mohawk area has its own shared dock and swimming area. Lake Heron is a hidden paradise in Perry County with 240 acres of woodland and a 10-acre lake with excellent fishing.
