Holiday rentals with a kayak in Dade County

This is an excellent place to stay with family or friends. It's very peaceful and a beautiful spot. The house comes with so many things to do... canoes, outdoor games, indoor games, a pool table, ping pong, foosball, and more. I would definitely stay here again. We enjoyed the short trips to the state parks for hiking and other activities like the zipline and horseback riding. Mentone is only 15 minutes away and has a of couple great places to eat.

Fantastic hosts! They were everything you could ask for in a great host. The place was amazing. Would recommend to anyone. In fact, a bunch of the guys from our trip are determined to come back and stay there again.

Emmye & Seth have an amazing home with easy access to the town of Mentone. Its right on the water so if you like to fish or have a campfire or just sit outside and visit with friends this would be the ideal place for that. The screened-in porch is nice on cool nights to have dinner as well. The home is plenty big with an open kitchen and living area along with bedrooms upstairs and downstairs. Their is plenty of lighting throughout the house as well and was very clean and cozy during our visit. I would recommend anyone to stay here. The house is in a nice secluded, peaceful area and not from town if you need something. Emmye & Seth were also very responsive to our inquiries while staying there and were very helpful when needed. Thank you for everything and we hope to come and stay here again in the near future!

A large group of friends and I celebrated my 30th birthday here. It was an AMAZING location! Lots of fun games/ activities are provided in the house, and access to the lake was great! Would definitely recommend hosting your event here!

We love staying here for our annual women’s retreat for church. We even saw a bald eagle this last time!

Highly recommend this beautiful home. We appreciated all the little touches that make this rental special- like the kayaks and Jon boat, the hot tub and stunning views. We used the firepit and made great memories. They’ve thought of little things that are helpful like having a good selection of cookware and spices, they had candles and lighters, aluminum foil and Saran Wrap- these are things that often go overlooked at rentals. We really appreciated all the things for kids including the high chair and pack n play, kids dishware and toys. We loved using the Bluetooth speaker on the deck! They’ve really thought of everything you might need or want and we would definitely come back again!

I thought the price was too good to be true. It was exactly as listed and described. I wouldn’t stay here for the lake access if that’s what you’re looking for, but for a couples retreat it was amazing. The hot tub was clearly well taken care of and the A/C worked great. All linens were clean and snacks and drinks were even provided in the fridge. The homeowner alerted me to my car having a flat tire and offered to take it somewhere to have it patched. Truly felt very comfortable. The communication through the Host was impeccable. Even coming in at Midnight and struggling to find the destination the response time was instant. Would stay at another Luxury Lodging’s listing and definitely recommend this one.

Very nice home… as pictured. Great communication, had a book with instructions for wi-fi, things to do, places to eat and other instructions… very helpful!! Will definitely stay here again!

The hubs and I really enjoyed staying at Clint’s. It was quiet and outside of the city. It rained the weekend we were out there and the rain on the roof was amazing when going to bed. Also, the water that you could see off the back deck was so soothing…..

Beautiful and peaceful setting. Clean and updated with everything you need inside. Great deck for relaxing. We love the water and the kayaks were great. We drove to multiple waterfall hikes that were amazing. would stay again.

The cabin was perfect for our family Christmas getaway!! The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare great meals. The location is secluded but still close enough to get to stores if you forget something and there is a lot of amazing hiking within a short drive of the cabin. Misti was an amazing host and super proactive in communications and everything was very clear. I would highly recommend! And they decorated for Christmas (even with a tree) so we felt right at home!

My husband and I came here for our 7 year anniversary. It was lovely and peaceful. I love the imperfections of the old cottage and its cleanliness. The hot tub, kayaks, and views are lovely The kitchen was adequately stocked and beds were clean and comfy. Shower was large and hot and the washer and dryer were very helpful! The house was stocked with everything needed. We will definitely be back. The town of Mentone was just down the road and we loved the areas. There was even a gas station at the end of the street that was very convenient as well! No regrets! Just a lovely vibe and great getaway destination!

We planned a guys weekend trip for the Talladega Race…..could not have asked for a better weekend…..came down Friday to play golf at Lil Mole Run which is only 10 minutes away….we spent Saturday relaxing at the house and fishing off the dock and fishing from the four kayaks provided….caught plenty of fish ( bream, crappie, bass, and catfish)…..loved relaxing on the swing and rocking chairs on the back porch facing the river and hanging around the fire pit enjoying the fire…..would not hesitate to come back.

We had a lovely time with our children and grandchildren. Great set up for several families, plenty of room and great outdoor area including a pond, fire pit and ping pong. They also had a grill and a Blackstone for outdoor cooking as well. This place is highly recommended for this area of the country !

Beautiful place. Love the lake and the amenities. Will rent again in the future if this is available.

Lots of space for our family get together. Prime location to get to area attractions (Mentone, hiking, swimming spots). Well equipped kitchens in both cabins. Comfortable beds and plenty of towels. We particularly enjoyed the screened porches. There were kids games and puzzles for inside fun as well as paddle boards and floats for water fun.

This house and its location is amazing! Such a relaxing place to stay and the host leaves so many special touches that make the place feel like home! We will definitely be back!-

We had a great time. The cabin was very clean and spacious with plenty of sleeping and seating areas and lots of windows. The back view was nice with the river flowing by. You can use the deck or stand inside looking out all of the windows to watch the river. You can also walk down the hillside to the chairs by the river and even build a fire in the pit. We got to watch a group of kids paddleboarding by. The available canoe was a plus for us.

This was our second time staying out in this area here and loved it just as much as the first time! It’s such a great place to get away too and be able to unwind and relax from the stresses of everyday life. The place is so quiet and peaceful especially with being right on a private lake can’t beat it for anything. Will definitely be visiting again in the future!

Rachel's place was great we had a party of 7 and had plenty of room Very rustic. The kitchen was not as big as it looked in the pictures but she had everything you needed to do any cooking also made sure we had a crockpot. Great view of the lake. She was very responsive when I had a question. It could use a little TLC especially on the decks. If you like old rustic charm this is for you. The decks are huge and a fire pit but we didn't get to enjoy them as much as we wanted to because it rained almost everyday we were there. When in the area you need to try Southern Harvest Restaurant in the Lookout Mountain area near Fort Payne
