Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Cusco

I had the most wonderful three days at Veronica’s. This is the perfect place if you want something quiet, peaceful, romantic, and removed from the city centre, then this is the place. There are no restaurants near the bungalow but there is a local Tienda (shop) where you can buy some items to cook. The walk down into the centre of town took me about 30 minutes. I recommend you take a taxi because the bungalow is located atop the surrounding hills/mountains that are above Cusco and it can be very steep hike for most of the journey up or down into town. Taxis are very affordable. I loved it here, I hope you do too! Veronica and her family that run the air bnb are so very helpful and kind. I had a fire every night in the fireplace. It’s simply wonderful.

Mi estadía fue de un poco más de un mes en casa de Ana, una hermosa casa muy familiar y sobretodo espaciosa para que mis 4 hijos puedan jugar y disfrutar de nuestras vacaciones … muy acogedora la casa y sobre todo tiene todo al alcance de la mano ( restaurantes, mercado, tiendas, etc ) Muy recomendable :)

This was the perfect home for a family of 11. The location is set a bit above the city with magnificent views and an authentic Peruvian bohemian feel. The perfect patio for lounging and socializing. It’s downhill to the Plaza and a cheap taxi ride back up. LOTS of plush blankets and space heaters. A fully equipped kitchen. Daniel is VERY communicative, always available by text and I think he lives right down the road. They were very accommodating with 5 different checkins and offered to arrange airport pickups. They provided extra toilet paper and towels upon request, along with teas and coca candies for the couple of us that had a few day adjustment period. He took us down to the Saturday market and gave us many recommendations of things to do and restaurants. He facilitated two tours for us and we had a blast! He felt like he was our own personal connection to the city and we loved getting to know him. This place made us feel like we totally experienced Cusco. Thank you Daniel!

If you’re looking for a house with privacy, history, and style but only a few short walks away from any popular destination in Cusco city then I’d recommend this to you. I enjoyed how proactive and thoughtful the co host was with me and my wife by checking in and going the extra mile to meet any expectation we or others may have had. The location is very easy to locate and find transportation if walking is not preferred. My favorite part was the view from the balcony but also from about any room you walk into. Jacks team has really worked together to bring an authentic environment while exploring the surrounding areas.

La maison est parfaite pour les groupes, elle est très propre, éclairée, bien équipée et joliment décorée. Nous avons été accueillis par Karen, elle est très gentille et réactive. La comunicación avec Mariella était fluide, elle nous a recommandé les services de taxi de Virgilio, qui propose également de services touristiques excellents. Notre séjour à la maison a été merveilleux.

The house was rustic, but comfortable and in a central location. Downtown Cusco, the Saint Peter market, and many other attractions were within walking distance. Breathtaking view of the city. Juvenal, el papá de Vera, nos trató como familia y fue bien amigable con nosotros. Disfrutamos mucho nuestra experiencia.

Our host was exceptionally welcoming, attentive, and reliable throughout our stay. The check-in process was smooth and hassle-free, making our arrival stress-free. The location is excellent—just a pleasant 10 to 15-minute walk to the vibrant Plaza Mayor de Cusco, allowing easy access to the city’s main attractions.

El anfitrión siempre muy atento, nos ayudó mucho y nos guió sobre actividades. En las camas se duerme delicioso.

Todo bien, bonito y limpio con una de las mejores vistas de cusco, el único detalle es que no tiene ventilación el baño y a veces en la madrugada se escuchan ruidos del vecino de arriba, pero son pequeños detalles por lo que no bajo la calificación de 5 estrellas

Excelente alojamiento, volveríamos sin duda. El departamento era amplio, limpio, bien organizado y todo funcionaba perfectamente. Está ubicado en una calle estrecha pero privada, por lo que hay poco flujo vehicular y se descansa bien. El acceso no es complicado, pero es importante contar con instrucciones claras, ya que está en el interior del terreno. Además, dentro del mismo recinto hay otros alojamientos y, en una de las noches, hubo fiestas hasta muy tarde, lo que afectó el descanso debido al ruido. Como sugerencia, sería bueno establecer un horario para controlar ese tipo de actividades. Aun así, la persona que nos recibió fue muy amable y nos orientó bien. Recomendado.

Rodolfo nos atendió de diez. Muy atento amable y servicial y sobretodo resolutivo. Además nos dio recomendaciones sobre el lugar y los sitios que íbamos a visitar posteriormente. Cabe destacar que tuvimos un percance con las maletas y nos resolvió bastante bien. Sobre el Apartamento muy céntrico a escasos metros de la Plaza de Armas. Muy cómodo y por un precio bastante asequible. Si estás pensando visitar el centro histórico de Cusco o ir a Machu Picchu es muy buena opción ya que el mismo bus hacia Ollantaytambo está muy cerca del alojamiento. El único aspecto negativo es que no tiene calefacción pero si estufas portátiles

The apartment was wonderful. It’s in a new building and so it is modern with 24 hour security. The apartment is a short walk from all the main attractions, approx 15 mins from the main plaza. There is also supermarket next door, a gym (Victory) a short walk away as well as a great coffee shop (Paqarin). The host was super responsive and check in was easy. I cannot recommend this place enough, if I return to Cusco, I will definitely stay again. Thanks for having me, I loved my stay!

Perfect long term stay! The name ‘feels like home’ is perfectly named. It has a sense of home away from home. In a quiet safe neighbourhood , on the third floor super close to all amenities like a giant mall. 4 minute walk to public transport (bus) or walk outside and a taxi will be there. The host is super helpful and went above and beyond for me in any situation. Highly recommend !

Alojamiento cerca de la plaza de armas de cusco. Cerca a restaurantes y sitios de interes. Pasamos bonita estadía mi esposo y yo. El depa es tal cual las fotos. Ideal para ir en pareja

Where to even start … first, if this place is still available for the dates you want BOOK!! This property is like an enchanted secret garden and it’s as sprawling and diverse as it is magnificent and magical. You pretty much have to pinch yourself bc it’s almost unbelievable to enjoy such serene perfection at a price like this. It’s HUGE … everything about it kind of blows the mind from the gardens to the stone work to the different seating area and the the 360 views. Def stay a week! You won’t run out of things to do: we stayed 7 days and did horseback riding (go! It’s breathtaking) and massages one day, the San Pedro the next day (incredible shaman), Pisac one day, Machu Picchu one day, Chincero & Maras & Moray with 2 pm MIL seating , and ending w Rainbow Mountain. Every day was truly exceptional but it was the property that captivated throughout w the help of Gustavo (best host ever!), Sharme’s cooking (delicious!) and Lalo (soooo wonderful). We loved it. It’s a spiritual oasis!

My stay at Wolf Totem was exactly what I was looking for: a memorable experience, a story to tell back home, an eccentric host who is present and helpful and has unique advice, a comfortable quiet stay, and access to relaxing, unique, rustic extras (mountainside pool and steam room!) The room was large, the bed basic but comfortable with stylish bedding, there was a fairly well equipped kitchen I didn’t need to use, a bathroom with a shower/tub made of river stones, a wrap around deck with a couch and hammock for lots of lounging and gazing down at the amazing views or up at the incredible stars. Here I found likeminded travelers to chat with over the breakfast table and at night when Ivan through the hostel a pizza party, knowing it would help bring us all together. The entire hostel is up a steep and narrow stone path. I recommend a backpack - a suitcase was a challenge to carry up. Like many, I ended up extending (with ease!) because I enjoyed it and the town so much!

Many thanks to Maria Jose, Gualberto, and Jesusa for creating such a warm and welcoming space. Beautiful home with a spacious yard and incredible mountain views, all in a quiet neighborhood that's only about a 15 minute walk from the Pisac Market and great restaurants. Perfect location for exploring the Pisac ruins, Sacred Valley, Tambomachay, Puka Pukara, Tipon, Sacsayhuaman, even Cusco, which is only about 45 minutes away. Special shout out to Gualberto and Jesusa for being so gracious and for keeping us stocked up on firewood and dried eucalyptus (Peruvian fire starter). Stayed for 5 days and didn't want to leave. Next time, we're staying for 2 weeks!

Had the absolute best time and so glad my partner and I booked a private villa, seriously a dream and so gorgeous. Loved the cats around the property, got to hangout with other backpackers in the common area, and Ivan’s pizza night was so fun! Delicious pisco sours :) This place is so special and Ivan has really put his heart into building it. Was super responsive all the time, very helpful and clear with instructions. If you are an independent, self sufficient and respectful traveler with good intentions, you will fit in here. Just get ready to climb up alot of steps! But seriously, one of the best places I’ve stayed while traveling. We had the best sleep here and just couldn’t believe how spacious this place was.
