Family-friendly holiday rentals in Cumberland

Wendy's place was awesome! My family had a great time staying here for a week in late March, and found the place to be very comfortable, spacious and well-appointed. It was really nice to have a fully-stocked kitchen - even niche items like a cake mixer and vegetable steamer were available (indeed - baking cakes and steaming broccoli are both things we are known to do while on holiday 🙂). My kids also loved playing with the cool toys in the treasure chest in the main room, and picking out new books to read as bedtime stories from the shelves in their room upstairs. I would highly recommend this as a great accommodation for families on a Vancouver Island holiday.

It is a lovely place; the Host was very nice and kind enough to show me around the area as it was my first time in Campbell River. the apartment is neat. will stay there over and over again.👌

Had a nice time at Paul’s place! The space was perfect for a couple and has a great deck with a dining table, bbq and soft tub. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked. Loved that there was a dishwasher! Paul was very friendly and had two beautiful pups! Location is perfect for a day trip to Savary Island (close to the water taxi) and about a 15ish minute drive from Craig park (for disc golf!). We would stay here again! Thanks Paul!

This place is exactly what it looks online. Beautiful view, peaceful surroundings, beside the water and a cosy cottage with everything you need. Cathy was a responsive host and we cannot wait to come back!

It is an excellent option for your stay at Mt. Washington! We stayed during spring break, and the pool right across from the unit wasn't busy. The kids had a great time. Thanks, Barb!

We had a great time at Paul's place, private and peaceful. Watched the stars from the hot tub and sunset from divers rock (quick walk). The snorkeling around divers rock is fantastic at low tide, provided the ocean chill doesn't take you out too fast! The yurt was a really neat experience, well insulated and quiet. Would definitely stay again!

Edward & Kira were awesome host with a beautiful home. Such a peaceful and relaxing spot. Great views in a great neighborhood. Edward & Kira were very responsive and when the electricity went out (which happens frequently on Cortes)- they were at the house preparing the generator before we even knew we didn't have electricity. It was a great experience all around.

We only had a short stay but the space had everything we needed. Tracy was super responsive. The House was quiet and easy to get in.

Always a great stay here. A beautiful 2 bedroom apartment with a nice grassy lawn for my dog. Gale was so friendly and checked in to make sure everything was going well. Was lovely to have coffee and eggs and cream and croissants for breakfast. Just outside of town so was peaceful and quiet but an easy drive in.

Everything was great! Bob was a fantastic host and the suite was very well equipped.

The location is absolutely incredible and we really appreciate how well stocked the whole cabin is with games, kitchen items, etc. We especially loved the sunroom and our kids loved cuddling up and reading books on the couch in there. The cabin was a great place to get away for a little peace and quiet. Quadra island is a very beautiful place to visit. Jerry's place allowed us to really enjoy the island with a nice central place to bike around from. We will for sure look to stay here again in future visits.

We had a lovely stay at Julie and Ians place. Waking up to the alpacas in front of our patio was so delightful and our son loved visiting the chickens, horses and playing with Isla, the dog. We left the French doors open when we were home and enjoyed playing on the grassy patch in front of our patio. Coombs market is just a couple minutes drive away and the kitchen has everything you need to make your own meals. It is such a peaceful spot surrounded by nature to enjoy breakfast and dinner. Thanks for having us, Julie and Ian!

We stayed at Arrowvale campground in the air bnb for our friends wedding. Second time staying there and everything was great again. Beautiful spot right by the river and conveniently located the same place as the wedding 10 outta 10. We were able to check in early and everything was clean. Great hosts. Thanks

Thanks for having us! What a beautiful, serene environment, the dome is truly magical. Roisin is a wonderful host - kind, responsive, and helpful with many recommendations for the local area. The sauna was a welcome bonus, and we enjoyed our time greatly. One tip for future guests - don’t think it snows that much in Lund, but if so, suggest to bring an AWD or 4x4; local country roads can get a little a hairy. Thank you again Roisin!

Judith’s place is beautifully, and eclectically decorated - it feels more like a home than an airbnb!

My husband and I had a weeklong retreat at Liz & Dean’s property. It really was idyllic and just what we needed. The tiny house is situated in beautiful oasis. Even though it is situated in the same yard as the main house, it felt private and peaceful. Liz was exceptionally responsive to every question I asked and provided detailed instructions and tons of local information. Homemade granola was in the cupboard and one day we were even treated to one of Liz’s delicious fruit galette. The kitchen had absolutely everything we needed, from every type of coffee making equipment imaginable, to a cookie sheet and casserole. I was able to cook several meals and even did a bit of baking. The location was close to the grocery store, local market on Thursday and the farmer’s market on Saturday, and was a short drive to Helliwell Park and Tribune Bay. We are already planning for our next retreat to Liz and Dean’s property.

We stayed at Melanie and Paul's suite for 4 weeks with our dog for a work trip. The space was gorgeous, quiet, and well-stocked with amenities. The fully-fenced yard was tranquil with a lovely garden. Melanie and Paul were kind, responsive and friendly hosts. We (especially our dog) loved how close this place was to trails and beaches, while also being a short 5-minute drive to grocery stores and restaurants. Bike commuting to the Comox hospital was straightforward from this location. Overall a fantastic place with awesome hosts.

Had a great stay! Everything about the place from cleanliness to the beautiful view was amazing. The bed was comfy and the place is perfect for two people. Tanya was always responsive when we had any questions. We saw sea lions one night too! Highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a cozy spot with views. Will definitly be back!

Tania’s cabin felt like going home, but with the added bonus of being located on a beautiful, private section of lake overlooking provincial park land. We couldn’t have asked for a better location to enjoy the lake and nearby trail systems. Directly behind the cabin is a steep, paved pathway down to the dock and beach - both were hands down the highlight of our stay - spacious and set up for relaxing, while also acting as a launch point for paddle boards and kayaks. The cabin was also incredibly comfortable for our dogs - Tania added thoughtful touches just for them including comfy beds, treats, and towels. I especially appreciated the large, working grill on the back deck overlooking the water. This made meal prep easy and an absolute joy. We will be back!

Rosanne and her partner were amazing hosts right from booking and throughout our stay. They went above and beyond. Safe & friendly neighbourhood with all amenities within walking distance. Would stay again the next time I’m in Campbell River and would highly recommend to others.

We had a peaceful and relaxing stay at this beautiful farm. The hosts were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The surroundings were serene, and the breakfast provided was fresh and delicious. A perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature. Highly recommended!

Highly recommend!! The house is stunning and the garden is equally beautiful and well maintained! It is spacious and very quiet in the forest. The beds are confortable and the house is overall very cozy. Maria is a very thoughtful host. We had a great time!
