Family-friendly holiday rentals in Crescent City

This was a wonderful place! I loved the back yard and the amenities for the outdoor adventures. The house was impressively clean and the host was very friendly and helped with recommendations. This was my favorite Airbnb!

My family really enjoyed this place. It was very clean and cozy. The king bed in the loft was very comfortable. Nice large washer and dryer. Well stocked with supplies. Had a snack welcome basket and coffee and hot cocoa. We enjoyed the tennis and pickleball courts. We even saw deer in the yard. Great location near nice hiking trails and quiet spots on the river. Easy check in.

An incredible stay! A beautiful house nestled off a lovely river in a sweet neighborhood. Felt secluded and quiet. The river was wonderful for the children to play by - it’s a steep drop off but my three year old could do it with me holding her hand. And my pre teens could be down and up in seconds. The house felt like a sweet grandma cabin- every thing accessible was very clean, but the house was old and anything hard to reach was more worn. Honestly, it added to the charm. It didn’t affect our stay negatively, but I could see that they’ve tried hard to keep mold at bay, and cover up moldy spots with caulk. Pretty soon, they will need to truly renovate some things. It was so beautiful/ happy there we budgeted time to stay and enjoy the surroundings at the house. Lovely slanted light thru the windows, idyllic view out the living room and kitchen to the lake. 15 mins to redwoods and 10 to beach. We can’t wait to go again! It was a dream!

We had a wonderful stay! The host provided clear instructions and was super responsive, making our experience seamless. The place was exactly as described, conveniently located near the beach - we couldn't have asked for more!

This place is beautiful. You are surrounded by very tall trees everywhere. You can hear the river flowing from inside the house making it a peaceful stay. You have the most beautiful panoramic view of the woods. If you want to disconnect to enjoy nature, this is the perfect place. The cabin is made up of very old redwood and you can smell it as you walk in. Very nostalgic. The directions on how to get to the Airbnb make it very easy to get to there. We just had to make sure we looked at the map and directions ahead of time because there is no reception getting there. We got to see many deers and birds on the surrounding areas. We were also greeted by a banana slug! The place itself is beautiful and Jim was the most friendliest and helpful host. He gave us info on the trails and walk to the river from the Airbnb. I will definitely try to come back again later this year.

Beautiful view looking down the valley and you can see the Pacific Ocean at a distance. Mary gave us several great things to do and see and extremely helpful. The place was very clean and nice. We really enjoyed our stay.

We loved our stay at James’ cabin. If you are looking for clean, quiet accommodations away from crowds within 20 minutes of hikes and beaches then this is the place for you! We hope to return in the future.

Well stocked kitchen and appliances. The kids loved the toys and the jacuzzi bathtub. Excellent location, only a short drive to the coast and redwoods. Unlike many other rentals in Crescent City, this house is outside of the tsunami hazard zones.

We loved this little cabin in the woods! A perfect stop after a day in Redwoods National and State Parks, very conveniently located. The cabin is great and the surrounding setting is gorgeous. We spent a long time sitting outside enjoying the trees and ferns. Highly recommend!

My stay here was lovely. Dan and the community were generous and kind. Cooking space with everything you needed. Drinking water superb! Happy the dog always loves her pets, just make sure the cat Taco bell stays off the table. There is a spray bottle kept above the sink. Very nice walking area. Word of caution. Stay on 17N05 ONLY until the 17N08 sign, then follow that. If you stay on 17N05 without making the turn it can get pretty dicey.

Paula’s Airbnb fit all of our families needs. It has a great view of the ocean. The house itself is a little older. It did have its quirks, but the kitchen is very nice and the furniture is modern and comfortable. The picture windows out front were fantastic, and there was a helpful binder with lots of tourist information. The kitchen was also well stocked, which was very handy.

A beautiful location. Truly perfectly centered and tucked away in the Redwoods. The perfect place if you’re looking to unplug! Outside of a couple cobwebs here and there (Completely normal considering it is located in the woods), this was a beautiful stay for me and my family! Highly recommend!

Great location and nice place to stay with group of 10 people. The hot water in bathrooms is kind of serially available to all bathrooms so if at a time two bathrooms are in use, the hot water was not available to both or only one bathrooms. Other than hot water, we had blast and i would recommend this place to anyone or i would love to come back and stay here again.

The view out the large front windows was jaw-dropping beautiful and if you did nothing else in the town, just to have that to look at every day was amazing. The beach immediately below the house was one of the prettiest we walked on. Zoe was extremely helpful and responsive and the house was very clean, well appointed and a lovely vacation spot.... even on the rainy days (early April). Those rainy, windy times had us just staring at the ocean with waves breaking high and foaming over the huge rocks. The only change I'd wish for would be a regular tub instead of the jacuzzi that is in the ensuite bathroom of the Murphy bedroom, because I am one of the few wanting a bath rather than a shower. It is clear in the house information that no soap may be used in it, so it wasn't unexpected, but no one in our group cared about a spa. I'm sure many other people would enjoy it. Otherwise, the house was perfect! Thank you, Zoe, for being so helpful and making our family time special!

This was the perfect home base for exploring the redwoods. And the view was spectacular. It was so peaceful to hear the waves crashing while relaxing in the evenings.

We loved our stay in Smith River! We stayed a bit longer term for about a month due to work. Rachael was always very responsive on messages any time we had any issues and ready to fix it. There was a couple small things that needed replaced in the kitchen and she swiftly sent us the things we needed to get things up and running. We didn’t use all the beds but I can say the room we stayed in had a comfy bed. One of the rooms our daughter used was a bit firm of a mattress. Overall a very positive experience, I would say a couple things could use some updating just due to wearing out over time such as sheets and towels, and then was a bit of a bummer that the yard was not mowed while we were there as it would have been much more usable for us and enjoyable for our kiddos to play in the nice little back yard :) not the end of the world but would have been nice. Very happy overall with our stay and would love to stay again sometime! Smith River is a very nice centrally located town too!

Super comfortable house in a fabulous location. We came for the redwoods but fully enjoyed the tide pools, crashing waves and watching sunsets from the porch.
