Walk to several bus stops, 1-2 miles to 3 Metro stops, 10 minute drive to downtown. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate service animals due to household allergies.

I had a simple room in a beautiful home in a nice neighborhood, which fully met my needs. The hosts were prompt and clear communicators, and I was looking forward to meeting them. (That's one of the delights of staying in an occupied home, rather than one of the soulless and impersonal rentals.) The couple was away for the weekend, but I had the compensating joy of playing their piano, which was an unexpected bonus.

My mom and I stayed at Sissel’s place for 5 nights as a base to explore the sites in Washington, DC. Comfortable bed, very quiet, had everything we needed! Kettle, coffeemaker and small fridge was perfect as we ate breakfast there, made a couple sandwiches and headed out for long days of sightseeing. Was nice to comeback to a cozy quiet place to rest up for the next day of adventures. We walked 5 min to the bus and used the awesome metro system during our stay. Very easy and safe. Thank you Sissel for a perfect place to stay! We thoroughly enjoyed Washington and your place was exactly what we hoped for.
