Waterfront holiday rentals in County Roscommon

Would highly recommend, the views from the place are stunning and it was fantastic to be able to wake up to views of the River Shannon. Lanesborough is a nice little town, would recommend the Italian restaurant that has just recently opened there and the supermarket is very good. A very peaceful and relaxing experience.

Had a lovely stay at Blaithin's apartment - the central location is superb and the views over the Shannon were fantastic (the great weather also helped!). Would highly recommend it!!

Just had the most amazing stay in Carrick on Shannon. The area is amazing with beautiful scenery and so much to do. The icing on the cake was the beautiful apartment, had everything we needed and more, the views over the Shannon river were perfect. Karen the host couldn’t do enough for us definitely over and above. We will definitely be coming back. Thankyou Karen.

The Shannonside was the perfect accommodation. A beautiful home in a lovely location. The house was extremely well equipped with all the essentials. The host, David, even provided a starter pack of bread, butter, carrot cake, coffees, biscuits, etc., so we were able to settle right in. The location is very nice near the water but also very central for traveling. We greatly enjoyed our stay and would readily book again.

We had a fantastic stay in a great rural base allowing us explore this beautiful part of the world. We had great facilities and access to the lovely gardens. We could get around very easily and visit the area in all directions. many thanks for a wonderful time.

Excellent hosts therefore we had a wonderful stay at Driney House and hope to return. 😀 All the kids were so happy they could all bunk in together in the room with all the beds, like a proper sleepover, telling ghost stories with a torch. 👻 We stayed for three days and happily never left the grounds. It was so relaxing to take in the view while the kids had plenty of activities to keep them entertained, out in the fresh air getting plenty of exercise. They would have even slept on the trampoline!😀 The pool was a great hit, there is no deep end as such so it was great for the kids, and great to play volleyball. There were life vests available for use in a range of sizes for those that couldn’t swim. From the first contact the hosts were amazing, they were so helpful with a great generosity of spirit. A lovely family with a very special guest house. It’s like an activity centre with the most amazing views on the lake…..but the bonus is you have it all to yourself! 😀

Happy to recommend this property for families; it's plenty of room, looked exactly like photos & was spotless clean. House is in a great location for walks or driving to explore other towns & activities within a short distance. Lovely restaurants & bars nearby for an evening out too.

We had the best stay at this property, beautiful, peaceful surroundings and spectacular home. The property is very special and absolutely beautiful. Lovely pub 3 minute drive up the road that serves nice food. Serena was so helpful and proactive in contacting us with instructions and Mary was so nice and lovely. Absolutely will be returning to this property again.

Philips house is a perfect location in Carrick. I stayed twice- once for a hen party and then for a family event. It was ideal for both! For the family event we had the small kids (3 months and 3 years) upstairs and they were not disturbed by the noise of the rest of us. It is short walk into the town, SuperValu is very close too. Communication with Philip was easy- he is very responsive to messages. There is no WiFi in the house, so we used hotspots for one family member from abroad. Recommend!

What a find. this apartment is very central and you can walk everywhere in the town from it. the apartment is really big and well laid out. everything was spotless. there were lots of nice touches like lots of cold bottled water in the fridge, some snacks on the counter, and nice furnishings. we were a big group but it was a great size for the 7 of us. I highly recommend this place and I'd love to come back again.

We had a great weekend in Carrick on Shannon. Chris' place was bright, clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend. Hope to go back sometime for a weekend break.

We were in Knockvicar to research our family roots so Anne's place was perfect because we could access all the local graveyards/Leitrim Heritage Centre, Ballinamore, Drumshabo music festival etc. Anne was super-helpful but also respected our privacy. She was there if needed. Loved her spacious kitchen, comfortable beds, extras left in the fridge for us on a very late arrival from Cork, esp milk and tea. Plenty of supplies in the bathroom and the place was spotless. We had two very peaceful/quiet nights of sleep and really enjoyed our stay in Knockvicar. Thank u Anne

Fiona was a very responsive host and very quick to answer any queries. The apartment was amazing with stunning views out over the water. Was so well equipped with everything you would need for a stay. Very peaceful location yet close to carrick on shannon. So much to do in the area too. highly recommend for a stay
