Holiday rentals with beach access in County Mayo

The communication in advance regarding our arrival was already perfect. Margaret was already waiting for us and showed us directly into the apartment. Our expectations were more than exceeded. So coffee and tea were available and even 6 fresh eggs were ready! We have not experienced this in almost 20 years of experience in holiday homes or apartments. Margaret even took care of the waste disposal for us, saying "we were on vacation after all". It couldn't be better. Many thanks to Margaret and Vincent. And the German-Irish friendship between our dachshund (Lady) Olivia and the Maltese dog (Lord) Toby should not go unmentioned.

Lovely peaceful location. Asked sheila beforehand if basics would b there on arrival and sure enough there was tea, coffee, pint of milk and packet of biscuits We arrived half hour early and sheila had just arrived to clean house after the previous tenant so we went for walk on thebeautiful beach and house was ready when we arrived back. Super comfy bed. So peaceful day and night. Tenants in main house were very quiet. Beach bar less than 10 mins walk was very good value - should book ahead if dining there. We didn't use cooking facilities in house so cannot comment in that regard. Overall loved our stay and would be very happy to re book. Sheila was quick to respond to any queries before we arrived. We put bed linen on to wash before we left but as there was only one washing pod we didn't put on the 2 towels as didn't want to overload washing machine. Would recommend

A fantastic place to stay! We loved every minute! Perfectly placed near the beach and Croagh Patrick, and easily accessible from Westport. Achill Island and the Doolaugh Valley area are perfect day trips. Beautiful property, quiet, and has some fun artwork! We felt right at home. We will most definitely visit again!

Beautiful views and well equipped. Peaceful yet walkable into Clifden - a lovely town and lots to do locally. Great stay.

I think this was our favourite stay in Ireland. The cottage was exactly as advertised. The location is unique, beautiful and quite isolated, which is what we enjoy. Achill is small and we were never far from restaurants , pubs or grocery stores.The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and after eating out for a month it was delightful to be able to cook for ourselves. The washer/dryer was an absolute bonus and very much appreciated. Teresa was able to help us with travel plans and suggestions for places to visit. She was friendly without being intrusive . We would love to return again in better weather. What a gem of a place!

Amazing location (if you like solitude). Beaches right there! Wonderful megalithic sites nearby. Horses to pet. All amenities you could want. Had a blast cooking in the wonderful kitchen. Weather was AMAZING. We had some downtime at the beach and watched beautiful sunset which was recommended by our host! We HIGHLY recommend this place. We were sad to leave it.

We had a great experience staying at cathal’s place. It’s a spacious house with room for several cars outside. Having five bathrooms for eight people was ideal. Place was clean and well equipped. There’s a petrol station 200 meters down the road. Close to beaches and close to Louisburgh village. Cathal was easy to contact when needed. We struggled a little bit to find the place but Cathal was available on phone to help us. Would stay there again.

I could not recommend John’s house highly enough. We stayed here for two nights as a group of 12 and we wish we could have stayed for a week. The house is beautiful beyond belief, so spacious and fully equipped with everything you could think of to cater for big groups. The hot tub and bar are wonderful additions to an already amazing house. Even though we didn’t have perfect weather we still enjoyed making the most of the hot tub. The house is even more impressive in person than how it looks in photos and the view surrounding it is breathtaking. It’s a real retreat and the perfect place to gather with friends/ family. Only a ten minute drive to Mulranny town and beach, but you probably won’t want to leave the house! An incredible stay, thank you so much to John and Sharon who were always so helpful and responsive to messages. I hope we’ll be back again soon!

Tom Jacks is in a stunning, peaceful, location with beautiful coastal views. We even spotted Dolphins, whilst eating breakfast outside! The decking area is spacious and comfortable outdoor furniture is provided,along with a BBQ. Inside, the house is very clean and quite spacious, with a log burner for cosy evenings. (Plenty of logs provided) The house is well situated for drives to the local beaches and surrounding area. Letterfrack has a good supermarket. We wouldn’t hesitate in returning in the future.

The perfect place to stay. So well equipped, has everything you could need. Spotlessly clean. Great location easy walking distance to the beach.

Had an amazing stay in this house, lovely outside space with big table and bbq, house was pristine throughout and spotless when we arrived, had a problem with power outside and it was sorted straight away for us. House is in a lovely location with and amazing view over the mountains. House is just outside Westport with taxis easy got in and out of town only took 5 minutes. Lovely area with a variety of restaurants and pubs. Would 100% this home to stay in for a few days away is perfect for all your needs

We celebrated my husbands 60th with our children and grandchildren in beautiful kileen beach house the beach is just a minutes drive away or a 15 minute walk ..went kayaking in old head beach with the lovely Catherine..house was spotless and had everything we needed. A wonderful weekend we will remember for a long time ❤️

Had a fantastic time staying in Fionnuala's lovely house. The kitchen was well equipped and every room was spotless. Excellent location, only a short walk to the beach. Will definitely be back!

Really enjoyed our stay in Louise’s apartment. It was ideally located, very clean and spacious. I would highly recommend it to anyone venturing to that part of the country

My first time using air bnb. I travelled with 2 small kids age 1 year, and 3year. The place was clutter free. Living area open plan. Very clean, fresh sheets , loads of towels this came in handy for beach, Good location.

Danny's condo is very well laid out and the trails to walk along from his garden were amazing, a particular hit for our two dachshunds running up the hills with us. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a nice cozy base for exploring the area and will be back when we are next in the area.

What a fantastic spot. We were 4 golfers and we each had a lovely bedroom with comfortable beds. We could see the golf course from the apartment. All Pubs and restaurants could be waked to and the beach was across the road. Fantastic place and we will be back.

Excellent week spent in Niamh & Geraldines apartment. Very comfortable. Stunning views of the sea and mountains - restful and restorative. Lots of amazing bird and wildlife on the island with beautiful walks. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we will be back 😊

Catherine’s apartment is very well located, just a 5 min drive or 30 min walk from Westport city center. The quay is beautiful as it is next to the lake and the park. If you are driving be mindful that the parking is a bit difficult. Apart from that highly recommend it if you are visiting Westport
