Cottage holiday rentals in Cottage Grove

This place is one of my top favorite places that I’ve stayed at so far. Our group had a great stay. The listing was just as charming as we saw in the photos and the location was great for us. We wished we booked a longer stay so that we could enjoy all that this place had to offer. The host was very responsive and checked in on us throughout our stay. I would recommend this place and would stay here again.

beautiful home to stay in, better than the pictures suggested. very cozy and a great place to relax after exploring Minnesota. the hot tub is a wonderful addition, and I highly recommend walking down and watching the sunrise in the morning.

This cottage is absolutely gorgeous!! It has so much to offer with a beautiful view on the lake, a hot tub, a fire pit area, a beautiful walking trail, and so much more! It was the perfect place to celebrate a bachelorette weekend and so many amazing memories were made here. The host was very helpful and always answered any questions. The house was stocked with lots of cooking supplies and cleaning products that made it easy to stay there. I hope to be able to come back to this cottage in the future because it was the best weekend!!

We had 7 girls stay here for a bachelorette weekend getaway and we LOVED it! The house is so full of historic charm while still offering a fully modernized kitchen, bathrooms and entertainment systems. We loved being far enough away from the busy downtown Stillwater scene to enjoy a little sanctuary time, but also being close enough to either drive or walk (about 20 minutes walking) to get downtown to all the fun shops and restaurants of DT Stillwater.

The hosts, Katie and Curt, were very friendly and responsive. The hot tub on the patio was a big bonus. I also enjoyed relaxing in the hammock and watching the trolley go by through the woods ($3 to take the short historic ride). And just a few minutes to walk to Lake Harriet pavilion to take in some live music or walk around the lake. I’m excited to come back sometime for this relaxing get-away!

Nathan’s place was great! It’s walkable to downtown Stillwater, and the home itself is funky and fun. Nathan was a kind and responsive host, and he accommodated our needs well. Definitely worth the stay. Thank you!

Perfect little cottage for a couple and a friend to stay in while we attended a memorial celebration of life for a friend who lived nearby. Love the neighborhood -- walking along Lake Harriet, the rose garden and bird sanctuary, nearby restaurants, and the patisserie, which is perfect for breakfast -- all so close. The cottage is simple but comfortable and Sarah is very helpful and flexible, which we appreciated. Must be able to go up and down stairs.

Very cute interior; lots of extra supplies in case we forgot anything. Loved the bathroom!! Quiet; beds were comfortable & nice to have 2 TV’s as my husband & I have different tastes. The only tiny negative is the yard - not really any grassy area for our little dog, but she didn’t mind walking down the block.

A perfect home base for a stay in St. Paul, near colleges, good grocery stores and shops. We enjoyed the convenient access and on-street parking. The compact footprint of the house makes it best for one person or a small group. The stairs and tight bathroom are fine for able adults but might not work for folks with mobility issues. The basic kitchen was ideal for the simple we prepared and enjoyed at the spacious light-filled dining room. We enjoyed the house very much and hope to come back.

This location is so quiet and peaceful. A beautiful farm house in the country that is within walking distance of the main part of town. We loved the proximity to Northfield, MN and loved they had a trail connecting the two towns. Go visit Martha’s for baked goods or Chapel Brewing in town.

This place was everything we needed and more. Becky was so helpful and communicative without being overbearing, and the place was absolutely lovely. Clean, quiet, and comfortable with a great neighborhood to walk around in. Would absolutely stay again!

Cute little old house. A little bit dusty, but to be expected in an older home. Had a fairly long term stay and the host was responsive to any questions, and very friendly. Located right across the street from a beautiful park, with lots of space to walk our reactive dog without getting too close to other dogs on the walk. The park is very busy on weeknights with different sport events or practices, so there was a bit more traffic and activity at that time, but otherwise a fairly quiet neighborhood. Very comfortable bed on the main floor. The kitchen is very small, so don’t plan on cooking any gourmet meals, but functional nonetheless.

This cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It’s located on a quiet street yet convenient to shopping. The kitchen and bath are fully stocked and it’s all very clean. We are already planning to come back.

Very quiet, wonderful neighbors and accessible to parks, restaurants, shopping, etc. Communication with the host was excellent with any concerns! She was lovely to chat with. Walking into this adorable cottage and being welcomed by a most pleasant scent and soft music in the background was the beginning of a perfect long weekend at Matthew's place. This home is absolutely immaculate and so comfortable. Actually this is the nicest home we've stayed in with Airbnb. The personal touches are evident in every room and very much appreciated! We visit our son in North Hudson a couple of times a year and this will definitely be our 'go to' place when planning our trips. Trust me, you won't be disappointed staying in Matthew's cottage.

My dog and I were on a road trip back to the east coast, and I selected Lisa's place due to it's location and for being dog friendly - we stayed one night. I really liked Lisa's place. It was clean, cozy, and had everything a traveler would need. The house was nestled in a really nice, established neighborhood just outside of the city center, which I thoroughly enjoyed seeing on foot with my dog. There was a great veteran-owned coffee shop (Rick's) just a short two-block walk from the house, which itself was dog friendly (dogs allowed in to order, with a dog friendly patio outside). Lisa had set a dog bed out in the living room for us, which I thought was super thoughtful. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and experience, and would recommend Lisa's place to anyone traveling to or through Minneapolis.

We have stayed at Little House several times before and it is always a wonderful experience. I would say it's our favorite Airbnb location in the Twin Cities and if it's available to book, we always do!

This cozy cottage in Lake Station was the perfect peaceful escape. The décor was absolutely charming — thoughtfully styled and full of character. The fireplace added a warm, relaxing touch and made the space feel extra inviting, especially in the evenings. It’s clear that a lot of care went into creating a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to unwind and enjoy a cozy getaway. I’d love to stay here again!

The place was just what it said it was. It was clean, she had fun snacks and drinks for us. Every thing you need is right there and more. She communicated well with me. It was so easy to check in and out. Love it and highly recommend for girls get away.

Absolutely fantastic. This house is in a real (and lovely) neighborhood, with real people who live there, which makes the house amazing for visitors. Close to everything, easily accessible, and great communication.
