Holiday rentals with a kayak in Costa del Sol Occidental

Great stay at Jess's place. He is extremely helpful and responsive. The accommodation is as described, lots of space and everything you'd need. Lovely quiet area. Beautiful surroundings. We were on a golf trip so for 4 people, each had their own room, and location is amazing. Great supermarkets and wine shops within 5 minutes' drive. Lots of restaurant choices if you want to eat out (would recommend Casabon (fairly high end, very good), and Inboca (high end Tapas I'd say, much more rustic and local feel). Jess organised taxis to get us there. Nothing was too much trouble. Even when our flight was delayed by 4 hours and we didn't arrive until 1am he was very understanding and his assistant was there to let us in and show us around! Golf-wise it is a perfect place to stay, 3 minutes to Valderrama, less than 10 mins to Sotogrande and La Reserva, 20 minutes to Finca. Offstreet parking so you can leave clubs in the car. Highly recommend. If we go to that area again this is where we'd stay.

After a busy and stressful period, I found exactly what I needed here: peace, space and a place to really unwind. For two weeks I enjoyed this nice, quiet and safe location. The garden is a small paradise, with fruit trees full of avocados, lemons, mandarins and oranges. The cheerful chickens provide fresh eggs daily, and even organic vegetables are grown and there is even mint for tea. Really a wonderful place for lovers of nature. The room is clean and the bed sleeps well thanks to a lovely mattress. There is a spacious fridge, And in consultation: host Robbie is not only attentive and helpful, but also a great cook! His burgers are highly recommended.(on Sundays the supermarkets are closed in Spain) You can also contact him for questions regarding transportation. The wifi connection is excellent, which also makes it ideal to work remotely even outside in the garden.

We spent one month in the house as a 12 people group, working remotely. The house is incredibly nice and even better than on the pictures. It's equipped with everything you need, kitchen wise, and elsewhere. The garden must have been designed by a landscape architect 20 years ago, and you look into the most beautiful mountainous landscape. Lots of nice hikes in the area. The WiFi was good enough to work and have calls. Lots of space for a big group.

We stayed at Casa Hortensia for a week in April 2025. The location of the cottage is fantastic and quiet. The large terrace with the fantastic views of the bay of La Herradura was the highlight. We had sunshine and pleasant temperatures for a week. The cottage is very well equipped. Some furniture is outdated, but that didn't bother us at all. Mark took great care of us before and during the stay, the communication was always very good. The location of the cottage is very convenient, the highway connection to the A-7 is surprisingly close, but you can't hear the highway in the cottage. With the rental car we did some excursions. We all enjoyed this holiday very much and can very well imagine taking a vacation at Casa Hortensia again.

The house is very nice, tastefully decorated, clean and has everything and more than you need to have a pleasant stay. Paul and Emma have been lovely, they helped us with everything they could, 10 hosts!!!! We would definitely recommend this place 100%. Thank you very much Emma and Paul for your kindness

Paulo's house is great, everything is very clean and he is friendly, attentive and flexible, it is a very quiet and quite beautiful area with the only thing that the town hall has neglected.

The house is very clean, the beds and pillows are super comfortable, very cozy, the kitchen is perfect to spend a few days. Miguel was charming, he had the heat programmed so that when we arrived everything was warm, a very thoughtful gesture on his part, very attentive to us and everything was perfect, I recommend it 100%

Beautiful house overlooking the marina. Fabulous views from the rooms and balconies. House is clean and very spacious with everything you could need. Well equipped kitchen and the laundry room downstairs was useful. Space to park a car right outside the front door. The area is hilly but you are rewarded with great views. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

Diego is one of the best hosts I’ve worked with on Airbnb! He allowed a very flexible check in, he is wonderfully communicative and friendly, and very energetic. His country home is a labor of love, and perfect for a family to stay. Unique experience about 10 minutes outside Setenil de las Bodegas, as he has chickens, turtles, turkeys, and all manner of produce growing. The showers were hot, the beds comfortable, and the kitchens well stocked. Great outdoor spaces for relaxing. The one thing is about the third bedroom/loft; it is a VERY short ceiling, so our third couple (who are on the taller side) preferred to sleep on the sofa bed. Would certainly recommend Diego’s home to anyone and would return.

We had a great time in Ardales. Our highlight was the pool and it looks even better than in the photos. There are eight sunbeds, an outdoor shower and the surroundings are covered in artificial grass. The house had everything that is necessary for a group stay and a lot of beautiful areas to sit and relax. Unfortunately, the lake is not there anymore and the surrounding area is really dry due to a lack of rain. However, there are lakes in the area to do water activities to make up for it and swimming in the pool was our favorite activity anyway. The contact to José was helpful and informative. We would definitely come back.
