Great stay, nicely renovated place. Quiet street, nice neighbourhood, kids biked to the park just down the street daily. pool was amazing, linens, pillows, beds super clean and comfy. Kitchen well equipped. Felt at home

Gorgeous old home on a beautiful property, was the perfect place and location to host our large family Thanksgiving. The house was well stocked with charming dishes and serving pieces. They left plenty of wood for the wood-stove which made the large space feel so cozy, and plenty of wood and chairs surrounding the fire pit outside. They also provided plenty of drinking water and decorated with pumpkins and mums. Bed linens and towels a fresh crisp white felt nice to curl into. If I had a choice I’d opt for some queen size beds and use of the extra bedrooms! Though realize it’s not set up for multiple families but for individuals on a retreat. It still suited us just fine and the kids loved the giant room with the bunk beds. Thank you Carolyn for another perfect weekend!

Erin's palce was fantastic! My family and I absolutely loved it! We had plenty of room, games and things to keep us occupied during our stay. We really loved the theater room, and the pool was great. We definitely recommend this property and we plan to go back when we have more time to explore!

I had a great stay! The host was incredibly responsive and always available to help, they even brought extra fans and quickly handled a few minor issues during my visit. The location is peaceful and private, yet still conveniently close to local shops and amenities. The pool was definitely a highlight and made the stay even more relaxing. Would definitely recommend!

The chalet is spacious and comfortable, with a beautiful view and a peaceful atmosphere. Our host was very welcoming, attentive and quick to answer all our questions. Our three-night stay exceeded all of our expectations. For nature lovers such as ourselves, the tranquil, beautiful setting was ideal. We saw various birds right from the cottage, and numerous others in the nearby reserve. The sunsets and morning light inspired us to paint, draw and photograph, to capture a record of this beautiful place. William is a splendid host. He provided us with historical information about the area and his family’s role in settling and living in it. He is a generous and compassionate man, and inspirational in his devotion to the land and its history. A million thanks, William!

This cabin was an absolute dream for our mothers' first visit to Canada! We were looking for something special, and this place exceeded all expectations. The location was ideal – a perfect blend of natural beauty and proximity to the city. What truly amazed us was how much more beautiful it was in person compared to the already great photos. The serene lake view, the perfectly stocked kitchen, and the immaculate cleanliness all contributed to an unforgettable stay. You can feel the warmth and care in every detail. The hosts were also fantastic, with quick and kind communication. They even helped us retrieve keys we'd accidentally left behind! We can't wait to return and highly recommend this incredible retreat.

Everything was very nice and clean. The only thing is for such a nice place, the glasses were all in plastic…location was very nice. Also the heating was not consistent throughout the house (some rooms were cold while others were too hot)

Some places are just houses. Others hold space and pause. From the first moment we walked in, "The River Retreat" welcomed us like a warm hug. My siblings and I came here to honour the one-year anniversary of our mother’s passing, and it ended up being exactly what we needed. Peaceful, cozy, and full of thoughtful touches. Every room, view, and amenity gave us a chance to breathe, reflect, and spend quality family time together. We tried all the amenities, including the hot tub, canoe, kayaks, fire pit, and pool table. But our favourite pass time and location was definitely the home cooked meals around the round table overlooking the river. We left feeling full in every sense. Thank you Marlene and Morgan for being such fantastic hosts! We’ll absolutely be back.

The quiet location and pond were perfect to spend quality family time together. We really loved the little screened-in room. Make sure to bring your own drinking water and some mosquito repellant :)

Absolutely stunning cottage on a beautiful lake. The sunken living room with custom couches had more than enough space for our group of 10. The floating party pad in the lake was perfect for lounging in the sun, the outdoor shower by the hot tub was a nice touch after an amazing soak overlooking the lake and views. Perfect cottage getaway, everyone loved it!

We had a great graduation weekend, an easy route from Clarkson University. The house was well appointed. Everything was clean and bright. Quiet well kept neighborhood. The beds were comfortable and the house was very welcoming. Mary was very responsive and gave several recommendations for local eateries. It was a nice, hectic, quick weekend. Having a comfortable place to relax after a 6 hour ride and a busy graduation day was appreciated.

We stayed at Chris’s place for my brother’s wedding at Bean Town Ranch, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The property is absolutely stunning — right on the riverfront, peaceful, and beautifully maintained. It was the ideal setting for such a special weekend. Chris was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the whole process. We really appreciated being allowed to check in early, as we had to be at the rehearsal by 4pm. That flexibility made a big difference during a busy day. The home was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Thank you again, Chris, for making our stay so smooth and memorable. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!

House in Massena was perfect for our stay. The house is large, comfortable and very well appointed and stocked with everything you could need. The host even brought us a grill . 😊 Our family really enjoyed our stay and we were as comfortable as if we were at one of our own homes.

The host was very nice. Great communication. The chalet was really nice and clean. I recommend.
