Our stay at La Casa dell Abate was truly wonderful and memorable and I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys beauty and comfort off the beaten path. From the moment we arrived, Allesio was welcoming, friendly, showed us around the home and offered tips on what to do. He will also offer you the opportunity for a pasta class or gourmet dinner which is prepared by their friend Francesco, in the private garden/outdoor kitchen. We really enjoyed this experience. Their home is beautifully decorated yet maintains the charm of the 16th century in which the village was built. We slept great in the peaceful surroundings and the comfortable beds with nice linens. The house has a room, bathroom, living-kitchen, and a small balcony, all private. All the spaces are very large. We were very comfortable. We went in early January and the house was perfectly heated. The house was very clean, decorated, and with all the details cared for; you can see the dedication of the hosts. Spotless sheets and towels. The kitchen is perfectly equipped. The perfect bathroom too. The house is secluded in a beautiful, relaxing setting, with a private lake, unpolluted by the city. The outdoor garden is huge and nicely cared for (even in winter). There are tables and chairs, grill and parking spot. On the property, they live Ascensina and Elisabetta; they constantly took care of our stay being pleasant. It was very nice to talk to them, they are very nice and a great company. Great Airbnb, highly recommended!

Our stay with Sheila and Silvia was fantastic! They were terrific hosts, and the property exceeded our expectations with its beauty and impeccable cleanliness. We opted for extra meals and a cooking class, and everything was outstanding. Silvia is an incredible chef, and the dinners she prepared were some of our best meals during our trip to Italy. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, and the kitchen was well-equipped with everything needed for cooking. The property offers stunning views, nestled in the hills about a 20-25 minute drive from Cortona via scenic, winding roads, so having a car is essential. There’s so much to explore within a 30-minute to 2-hour drive, from lakeside towns and wine tastings to thermal baths, spas, charming medieval villages, and plenty of Michelin-starred restaurants. I highly recommend booking here for a relaxing, delicious, and comfortable getaway.

Rosanna and her husband are two wonderful people. Their cottage is a real gem in the woods, perfect for those seeking peace and detachment from city life. The house has enormous potential that, in summer, can be fully exploited (there is a large swimming pool in the backyard). The main places to visit are quite close, you can travel by car between Umbria and Tuscany without problems. Services (bars and supermarkets) are 5 minutes away. We had a great time and our dog, Puck, immediately felt at home.

A truly magical and unique stay in a castle apartment. After 24 days exploring the beauty of Italy, our arrival at Simone's third floor apartment in the village was breathtaking. This truly magnificent setting, nestled within a castle, immediately enveloped us in a serene and peaceful atmosphere. The apartment itself is not only beautifully appointed and meticulously cared for, but also boasts spectacular views across the mountain range that invited us to sit for hours, simply unwinding and soaking in the tranquility. While we ventured down the mountain a few times, we found ourselves drawn to the gentle rhythm of morning and evening walks, always culminating in a visit to the piazza to once again marvel at the stunning views Simone, our host, is simply the most considerate and attentive host I have encountered in 15 years of travel. The Wine Loft is incredibly peaceful and beautiful. The modern architecture is gorgeous and the views are magical. We traveled by trains and it was easy to take a taxi (arranged by the Wine Loft) from the station. Additionally, we enjoyed walking the country path through the woods and meadow to Bagno Vignoni. We highly recommend this beautiful property. The wines were a phenomenal addition to the stay.

The villa is located in the heart of the hills, secluded from all the nuisances of today’s world. Check-in was a breeze with extremely straightforward instructions. The host recommended Gimmy for a cooking experience, and that didn’t disappoint. Jackamo was recommended for a trek alongside the property and that too didn’t disappoint. Jackamo was extremely knowledgeable and fun to talk to. To sum it all up, this was one of the most pleasant experiences through Airbnb and we can’t wait to visit again.

The stay with Roisin was very pleasant. The areas and beds were clean. Proportionately a large swimming pool. Beautiful sunbeds and seating areas. Kitchen was stocked with delicious food and drinks, which we were all allowed to use. We received good information in advance, also about the steep path that had to be taken. It was a very nice stay, we had nice weather, actually only used the bedrooms and kitchen inside.
