The Barn Loft at Red River Farms

We LOVED staying here!! We were in town for a wedding and knew nothing about the surrounding area - Chad was kind enough to give recommendations. It was so quiet and peaceful, even with guests in the neighboring rental house - we didn’t hear a thing. We were also blown away by the hospitality - we let them know we weren’t arriving until 11pm and Chad was kind enough to prep the air mattress for our little one so we could just go right to sleep when we arrived. If we ever find ourselves back in this part of Illinois, we know where to stay!

Whiffletree Place, Scenic River Getaway,HotTub,Gym

This place has everything I was looking for. Tyler and his family met us at check in and were very friendly. My parents drove in from Arizona with their trailer and Tyler was nice enough to let them park it on the property for the duration of the stay. Even with the trailer, there was still a ton of land for their two large dogs and our little dog to run around and enjoy themselves. The hot tub and fire pit area were great and they even left a huge bundle of wood for us to use.The house was immaculate and decorated nicely. The house has a lot of history that you can read about in one section of the house. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals and plenty of dishes, glasses, coffee mugs and silverware. The dishwasher made clean up easy. The dining room had a large table where we enjoyed all our family meals. There is a washer and dryer that we used while there that was very convenient. In all The whole house/land was very clean, private and spacious. Highly recommended.

This Airbnb is a dream. From the beautiful property to the beautiful home, we loved every minute of our time. Everything was very clean, organized and easy to find. They even went above and beyond to return items that we had forgotten in the house. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a private retreat or good quality family time.

Fiancé and I were in town for work. Convenient location, good price, not to far from job site, and was easy to get to. Would stay again if in town.

Morchella Hideaway

KristinRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Morchella Hideaway is a true sanctuary, offering the perfect escape from the demands of daily life. Surrounded by nature's beauty, I found myself immersed in its peaceful sights and sounds. Adding to the atmosphere was the wildlife. Deer wandered gracefully, raccoons snuffled, owls called in the night, and even the distant echoes of coyotes could be heard. The gentle murmur of the river added to the serenity, creating a soothing backdrop for reflection and rest. I even saw my first firefly of the season! This hideaway is ideal for disconnecting from the outside world and simply embracing the moment. Chris is an exceptional host who is attentive, patient, and always quick to provide thoughtful responses. His hospitality enhances the experience, making every visitor feel truly welcomed. For anyone seeking a space to relax, heal, and recharge, I wholeheartedly recommend Morchella Hideaway.
