Comfortable home in beautiful surroundings. Really responsive and friendly host. En-suite bathrooms to each bedroom and the beds were super comfy. Great parking and charger for electric car - lovely walks nearby along the river and the horse in the field behind had just given birth to a foal so our daughter was mesmerised. Oh I forgot the hot tub - that was great too!

Genuinely amazing little place to stay, in a beautiful part of the world. We were even greeted with a lemon drizzle cake :) 10/10 would recommend!

What a wonderful place for a peaceful break away. The house was so comfortable with all the amenities needed. The hot tub was a lovely addition too! My son, who loves wildlife photography, absolutely adored the river. He spent every possible moment down there photographing Kingfishers! I would definitely recommend to anyone who loves birds and wildlife.

The cottage was lovely and had everything we needed. The location was lovely and peaceful and the hosts were really helpful and friendly.

Our second time at the gorgeous Preston Mill Loft and it was just as wonderful as we remember. Super dog friendly, the upgraded hot tub is IMMENSE, comfy bed, welcoming hosts, beautiful scenery, well stocked kitchen. The lot. Cannot recommend highly enough!

We arrived on the Friday for a 3 night stay. The Barn is in a beautiful place inside and out. The Hot Tub was lovely on an evening and the patio fire was great to sit around for drinks early evening watching the Sun go down. Casterton village is only a couple of miles from Kirkby Lonsdale. The village its self had a gorgeous pub 7 mins walk from the Barn which had a great range of food and served Sourdough pizza on Sunday evening after 1700hrs with a lovely warm atmosphere and open fires. There is a great taxi service and some fabulous restaurants near to the Barn. The Black Bull and the Highwayman were fabulous. (We did go to Number 9 also and it was not somewhere I could recommend, service and food really poor.) Patrick and Anika were great responsive hosts and this is a do not miss property, that offers every you need for a fabulous stay. Our little group loved it. Thank you Karen, Denise and Naomi

My husband and I and our two doggies had a truly unforgettable time. The home was the perfect escape. Stunning walks right on our doorstep, a 15/20 minute walk to the local coop, pubs, and cafe, wonderful views from the balcony when the sun shone, and a cosy home for when it rained. I cannot recommend this location enough and we will certainly be visiting again. The bath was great after our long walks and there was always plenty of hot water. The kitchen was well equipped. The WiFi was a little temperamental but the tv was always working and there’s 4G if you’re desperate to connect to the world (which isn’t necessary when you’re in such a beautiful area). Very helpful and friendly hosts, comfy bed, great shower (although you might struggle if you’re over 6ft2”. Great cooking appliances, the local pubs are lovely, and some villages within a 20 minute drive that are also worth the visit. Very happy customers!

A really cosy, home from home cottage with a beautiful enclosed garden overlooking the surrounding countryside. Very well equipped and very tastefully decorated. The bathroom is a real treat. Thank you Debbie.

We had a great visit and absolutely loved Bowes. This gorgeous property is situated with amazing castle views and close to all the spots we wanted to see. It was super comfy, great equipped kitchen, we were cozy and had everything we needed and would stay again. Host was very accomodating and this was perfect for our first stay with our new pup. Holmlea is a lovely little cottage with off-road parking in the heart of Mickleton. There’s two decent pubs in the village (Blacksmiths for beer, the Crown for food) both of which are easily walkable. The Teesdale Railway Walk is nearby, ideal for exploring other nearby villages and getting out into the country. The cottage itself was spotless, a cosy retreat for a couple and their dog. Very comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen. Take a book, the tv signal is poor but you don’t go to this part of the world to watch tv. Will definitely be back soon.

A very well presented cottage, walks straight from the door. Peaceful and impossible not to have a great night’s sleep. And very good access instructions …. no hunting around for key safes after a long journey ! Everything was clear and easy.

Our stay at Maple Cottage was fantastic! Gladys was so lovely and helpful, and gave us some great recommendations of nearby places to visit. The location was great - stunning views, waterfalls within 5 minutes and 20 minutes drive, a lovely town 10 minutes drive down the road, and some great walking routes nearby! The house itself was lovely, cosy and we felt right at home. The log burner was great and very cosy, everything you could need was in the kitchen, including milk, cooking oil, tea, coffee and biscuits etc that were left by the host for us to use! Lots of pots and pans and utensils for cooking which was amazing. The beds were extremely comfortable and everything was very clean. Finding the cottage was easy and there was more than enough parking. The views were just incredible from here, and the sunset was even better! 10/10, the perfect get away from our 4 year anniversary, and we would love to return!

I recently stayed at Airbnp was friendly and accommodating. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and any requests were handled promptly and professionally. The room and common areas were well-maintained and clean. Housekeeping did a great job and everything felt fresh and hygienic The room offers basic amenities that are sufficient for a comfortable stay. Wi-Fi worked well, and there was access to clean towels, toiletries it met all the essential needs for a short trip travelers looking for a clean, affordable, and well-located if you're planning to explore the area. What a lovely place to stay, the cottage has everything you need for a great getaway. It's in the most beautiful setting, peaceful the only sound birdsong and the occasional sheep! We saw deer,many garden birds and a barn owl - fabulous. A perfect location to explore the area. We came up to visit Beamish and found the location was superb for visiting the museum. A lovely comfortable, well presented cottage, Lynn is extremely helpful would highly recommend.

What a great house, had everything we needed, is modern but still cosy, great pizza place (knead a slice) nearby, and fab tea room on the square. Beautiful local walks - deer park, binchester roman fort by the river. Thoroughly recommend and highly enjoyable!

We had a lovely stay at The Hayloft while visiting my sister who lives nearby. We love the area and the cottage is in a lovely peaceful location away from the main road and with footpaths on the doorstep. We had lots of great days out revisiting places like Richmond, Barnard Castle and Deepdale Wood and Raby Castle. The cottage was very clean, cosy and well equipped with a lovely view of the fields from the bedroom and a beautiful private garden. The bathroom has also been updated really nicely since the photos were taken for the listing and really exceeded expectations. Thank you for an amazing break. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

Judi’s cottage is perfect in every way. With high quality furnishings, it’s well presented, in excellent condition, spotlessly clean and in a very peaceful location. Whilst it’s close to the main house, the cottage has it’s own private entrance and garden space, with the hosts being very respectful of guest privacy. The gardens are amazing and a great place to unwind. The location of the cottage makes an ideal base for visiting the main attractions in North Yorkshire and beyond. We would be delighted to stay here again on our next visit to the area.

We stay in The Drive for 3 nights. The accomodation is beautiful and exceptionally clean. The views from the windows don't disappoint, they are breathtaking. It a little journey to Hexham but there is plenty to do there with lovely shops and cafés. We love Northumberland and have been going with our family every year for the last 13 years. We didn't want to come home

I can’t speak highly enough of Hayloft - a fantastic peaceful property in a beautiful location. Cosy, tastefully decorated and well equipped - first class from top to bottom. Great walks from the door and lots to see and do if venturing out in the car. Fiona was the perfect host and we only wish we could have stayed longer. We will return!

We absolutely loved Debra Cottage, such a gorgeous place. Every detail had been thought of and everything we could need had been provided. Set right in the middle of the picturesque village of Gunnerside, with a pub across the footpath (which does amazing pies!) and a good cafe a few minutes away. We woke up looking at the trees and had breakfast to the sound of the stream running past. An idyllic few days away and we'll definitely be staying again.

An 'island' oasis of unspoilt tranquility, and peace. Exactly as described? with the addition of homemade cake as a welcome, welcome. In one word, 'Excellent'.

Beautiful cottage in peaceful location on the edge of the river. Easy walking access to Barnard Castle - to save parking hassles. Very comfortable, with everything we needed provided for our stay - plus a welcoming bottle of wine!
