Clean spacious apartment in a perfect location to walk to everything in Grand Marais. We didn’t need to use our car unless we left town to go hiking and exploring the Gunflint Trail. 1 block to grocery store. The apartment was airy and bright. The linens were soft and beds were comfortable. The host was very responsive. He contacted us to let us check in early and responded immediately to all queries. We’ll stay here again.

Close to everything in Grand Marais and clean. The apartment was more than ample for two of us. Nice to have two bedrooms for people who wake and different times. Benjamin is a knowledgeable and helpful host. Very hospitable!

This was a great space. Clean and comfortable, and some nice touches like a welcome basket with snacks, tea and coffee. There were some puzzles and games for a rainy day. Walkable to shops, restaurants, the co-op grocery and of course the lake. The host communicated well and check in was easy. Some noise at night (mostly just occasional loud cars/motorcycles) since it's right downtown, but that's to be expected. I'd highly recommend this Airbnb.

Definitely recommend staying here! Keith was very friendly and responsive after booking and leading up to our stay. Right away, we noticed how clean everything was. This really made the space comfortable. Everything is also updated and modern, which was really nice. We stayed here to take a class at the Folk School, and we were so glad we chose to stay here, as it was only a couple of blocks away. Also, it's within walking distance of restaurants and coffee shops. What a beautiful location! The only minor thing we noticed is that the space had a musty smell. It was something you could get used to, and it is likely due to the age of the building. It could have also been because of the time of year (early May). This still wouldn't stop us from staying here again.

We have stayed at the Basecamp Bunglaows a few times now and they are always extremely clean, well stocked, and pleasant to stay in. We love the location, the price, and the walkability to restaurants and shops. We will definitely be coming back again!

I was talking a class at the folk school down the hill, and working remotely for a couple days before. This worked so well - I had a place to work in chairs that were also comfortable- and that’s not a small thing! I could walk to class, to meet up with folks, go home for lunch… plenty of well appointed kitchen space to make my own meals. Comfortable space to relax and feel at home. And the best part, because of the pet friendly policy, I was able to bring my cat! I appreciated being able to see the lake in the distance, watch the sun rise, burrow in on a stormy day. I’ll be back (in fact, the next visit is already on the books).

The cozy bear den was clean, comfortable and cozy! It’s in a great location, close to all of the north shore parks and other attractions. We needed last minute accommodations and the owners were responsive and able to help. The sauna was an added bonus. Recommend!!

We absolutely loved our time here and want to stay again on our trip here next summer. I’m convinced these ladies should be interior designers. The space was amazing and felt like home with just the right touches! We loved opening the windows and feeling the cool breezes off the lake. This is the best Airbnb we have stayed in stateside and we travel a lot! Loved it ALL!

Very nice accommodations just a couple blocks from the center of Grand Marais. Ben was very helpful and contacted us re getting in and settled, and with a few ideas for local restaurants. We travel the North Shore a lot and would definitely stay there again!

Mitch and Kevin were excellent hosts. Perfect location for everything Grand Marais has to offer. The shared kitchen and living space was very cozy and the other group staying were friendly and respectful. Beds were comfortable, and they provided a dog bed for my pup that he loved! The only watch out is the seagulls. There was one nesting on the roof of the building that dive-bombed me and my dog a few times when we stepped outside. This is apparently a common thing in Grand Marais so would likely happen anywhere, but good to be aware of! Would absolutely stay again!

Another great stay at Chateau LeVeaux! Hard to beat a private rock shore to relax on with a mini-waterfall flowing into Superior (depending on the season/waterflow).

Loved our stay at Cedar's Seaside Chalet. Everything was exactly as described. The view of Lake Superior was spectacular. Loved falling asleep with the window cracked listening to the waves. Our son really enjoyed the sleeping loft with the skylight and video game. We were in Lutsen to support a friend running a 50K ultra marathon, so we didn't spend a ton of time in the condo, but when we did it was super relaxing and we crashed hard! Will definitely be back again!
