Great place to stay! LOVED the lagoon access with kayaks and the walking distance to the beach. Home was stocked with so many necessities and extras (beach wagon, cooking supplies, games, plenty of towels & extra blankets, etc.). Some furniture a bit old and the smaller beds not super comfortable, but overall the value and other amenities well made up for it. Perfect to spend casual time at the lagoon or beach.

FANTASTIC!! Great host! Awesome location! Clean house with everything needed available.. my kids loved the house, it felt like home away from home. Peaceful … Wish I could give more stars than 5!!!

Sometimes pictures don't tell the whole story. In this case, the photos of Matt's property didn't do the property justice! This is a gorgeous, beautifully appointed house - difficult to fully convey in photos. Absolutely stunning! From the living areas to the dining room to the kitchen to the bedrooms, it was all perfection - welcoming, clean and user-friendly. The house is located in a wonderful area - restaurants and bars easily within walking distance. Despite the busy-ness of the surrounding area, the house itself was blissfully quiet (a rare find in the heart of Chicago)! Matt was super responsive to the few questions I had - a wonderful host all around. 10/10 would recommend this house, and I can't wait for my next stay!

Adam's place was very clean, comfortable, and well appointed. I appreciated the touches, the abundant parking in front, the proximity to the University of Chicago.

This little oasis is adorable! Loved the decor and style! The main bedroom bed was super comfortable (and awesome pillows!). Everything was well stocked. I wish I could have spent more time in the home but was visiting family. The hosts were very thoughtful and had the A/C running for me before I arrived (I visited Chicago during a very hot week) so the temp was very comfortable. The hosts were very thoughtful and welcoming. 10/10 would recommend!

Great experience! I stayed at Alex’s place for a concert and it was perfect for what we needed. Close to public transit, good food, and fairly quiet neighborhood do Chicago. Highly recommend.

T was a great host from start till finish. Very responsive when we had questions. The place it self is a gem. The nostalgic decor was a dope. I would definitely recommend this for anyone visit Chicago.

The house was comfortable and spacious

We were there attending an UChicago graduation, and the place is in a great location for that. The beds were very comfortable, and the apartment is very spacious. The street is nice and quiet. We were glad that they had Kcups available for the Keurig before we head out super early on the Convocation day, as we are coffee drinkers. All the bathrooms had toiletries in the shower, which is always a plus. We enjoyed Bee’s place and would book it again when needed.

Before heading out to the east coast for a family wedding, we decided to stop by Chicago for a couple days (to see even more family!). I was traveling with my sister and my 5.5 year old son. Our stay at the apartment was wonderful. Erin and Caroline were very responsive and check in/check out was a breeze. The apartment is in a great neighborhood and walking distance to plenty of shops/restaurants, as well as the L train if you need to venture out further. It is on the garden level, so not much light, but a lot cooler on a hot day like it was when we were there. We were out for most of the time, anyway. We really appreciated the amenities, especially the snacks provided by the hosts. Local friendly cats were also a deciding factor for our stay!

You get exactly what you look for. The location is awesome and I found parking immediately. Great place

This country house is well located, quiet, off the beaten path, but easy to reach. The rooms are super clean and well appointed. The Hosts are very social and take great care and interest in their guests. They are great communicators, and appreciate all feedback. Best advice to potential guests....must like dogs and good conversation,( and movies). And coordinate plans closely with hosts to take advantage of their local tips and advice. and Respect for house rules will make for a smooth stay for everyone. Travelers can not go wrong choosing to stay with Laura and Mike, they were/are the best.

We really enjoyed our stay at Christiane and Patrick's home, they are wonderful hosts who truly care about making sure their guests are comfortable. The space includes a private bedroom and bathroom, but access to the shared locations like the kitchen and living room. They also offer a variety of breakfast options each morning, like eggs, yogurt, fruits, as well as snacks and beverages whenever which is a nice bonus! Would recommend to anyone needing a place to stay that is close by to Downtown Chicago. There is also plenty of street parking close by if you are renting a car!

Mary's place was a great location for our short trip to Chicago! It was a short Uber drive from the airport, and a short drive to the All-State Arena. We did arrive late at night due to flight delays and opted for an Uber versus the train. I am glad we did cause it seems like the train station is under construction for the side we needed and would have been a bit more of a walk departing from the other side, but definitely not a dealbreaker or anything. The house is a short walk from this breakfast place that we actually went to twice during our short stay, with other options nearby. Overall, the house felt cozy and clean, but we did struggle with getting in the bathroom first thing in the morning with the other guests in the house during our stay. Mary was very responsive and a great host to us during our stay. The bed was comfortable as well and the room had amble space for a large suitcase, a carry-on, and two large bags with space to spare for two people.

Nidhi’s place was exactly as described. I can’t say enough good things about it. The bed was very comfortable. The Jacuzzi and mood lighting was fun. The dorm size fridge and microwave wow you don’t normally see that in a motel anymore. Everything was clean and the water pressure was very good. Plenty of hot water.. I was shocked that every morning a full complete breakfast was in the lobby for free not to mention 24 hour coffee! We were there on a business trip and across the street were excellent restaurants, including an upscale bar with delicious meals, a sushi house, Chinese restaurant and a diner. You could also get your nails done and book a massage right across the street. I enjoyed taking the train into Chicago. It was very simple to buy your ticket on the spot not far from the motel at the station. The neighborhoods surrounding her place were beautiful. I did a lot of walking and there were sidewalks everywhere making it safe. She and the check-in managers we’re friendly.

I always enjoy stays at the Hamlin House and this was no exception! The Blue Room is lovely, - spacious with gorgeous windows and a spa-like bathroom. Wish I could have stayed longer!

We've stayed in many dozens of Airbnb's -- most that we've liked a lot -- and our hosts here, Joaquin and Patricia, were top of the list. They are absolutely delightful company, and provided a beautiful home and delicious breakfast. Moreover, Patricia is an accomplished artist whose paintings adorn the walls, and Joaquin is a collector of interesting books (amongst other things) that populate bookshelves throughout the house. Our bedroom and bathroom were very comfortable and spacious. Pillows and bed were excellent (we're sensitive to both so these are items we especially notice when we travel), as was the shower. The house is located on a cul-de-sac in a cute neighborhood. It's a quick uber ride to the lake or into Skokie. In summary, we highly recommend this airbnb.
