“Smith cottage is perfect accommodation for two guests. It is well proportioned and appointed, great views from all rooms, warm and cozy on a winters night Above all, for anyone who loves the great outdoors, this cottage is located in a fantastic part of the Dales with so much to see and do. Not to mention the Craven Arms just a short walk away👌”
Hawkswick Cote Farm is in the beautiful Littondale arguably one of the finest yorkshire Dales.
“This is a nicely appointed cottage annex in a farmyard cluster of cottages and converted barns. It’s wonderfully quiet and remote. You can set off on a good range of walks directly from the cottage. Or there is a lovely sun trap back garden to sit in and read in peace and privacy. We loved staying here just after lockdown. It made a perfect get away from the city with some good pubs a few miles away. The Queens Arms is particularly good! The cottage has some lovely touches and we were happy to cook there a few nights and eat out others. I would happily recommend this place for a couple who want a quiet retreat and good walking.”
The End Place is a self-contained cottage adjoining Moorhouse Cottage B&B. Downstairs is open plan, comprising a fully equipped kitchen and a living area with wood burning stove. A glass wall ensures uninterrupted views across Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, as well as starry-night skyscapes. Upstairs opens out into a magical, fairy-lit, vaulted bedroom with a king size brass bed adorned with crisp White Company linen and includes en suite with shower.
“We had a wonderful few nights staying at The End Place. We felt really lucky to see it in the snow - it felt magical! The animals are a delight, we loved putting the ducks to bed and opening the door to their little house each morning, plus we loved feeding Al & Paco (the two alpacas!) carrots. The position of The End Place is absolutely beautiful and it really is the perfect cottage to retreat to after a day's walking in the dales. The welcome hamper was so thoughtful and Jules even made us a cup of tea when we arrived with fruit cake and Wensleydale (a Yorkshire classic!). We will definitely be back again soon :)”
