Warksburn Old Church: Style & Sustainability

GillyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Warksburn Old Church is an incredibly special place. Recently renovated, this unique property features a state-of-the-art interior surrounded by the stunning stone and stained glass windows of the original 19th-century church. The tasteful decor has the vibe of a boutique hotel complete with luxurious and thoughtful details throughout. The spacious kitchen is perfectly equipped and if you don’t feel like cooking, there is a great pub restaurant in walking distance. We were warmly welcomed by owners Anne and Alan who were extremely helpful in guiding us through the house and giving us valuable tips for the local area. We were a party of five, including a small child and were very comfortable throughout our stay. This property is a peaceful and calm haven and makes for an ideal base from which to explore the stunning scenery and Roman remains of Northumberland. Highly recommend!

MichelleRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Just spent 3 great days at this wonderful cosy cottage with our 2 small dogs. Loved the quiet location and surroundings , the cottage was beautiful and had everything you needed and more.there is a nice walk at back of cottage (bridle path ) for dogs and also lovely walk into Hexham along path over bridge running alongside railway & river ( (approx 2 mile). Lovely village pub serving good food no more than 5 minute walk along road from cottage., also there is a bus stop outside of pub which runs into Hexham. Would definitely stay here again

Hadrian's Wall Cottage

TerenceRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Nice cottage in a rural location with great views to the south. Close to Hexham and Corbridge, nice places to explore, eat and drink. We thought it best to drive to these places via the local A and B roads rather than the country lanes. We used this as a centre for exploring Durham and Northumberland and made use of the train services from Hexham to help us get about. We enjoyed sitting in the cottage and watched the local bird life swooping around. It was also interesting watching the huge farm machinery trundle by a few times each day.

Traditional Northumberland Farmhouse

Beautiful house with fantastic views and garden. Jaynor was fantastic at communicating and really helpful. The beds were quite quite creaky is the only thing I’d change!

Cosy Cottage ideal for Explorers & City Escapers

MelissaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The Parlour was comfortable and homey. It was originally a milking parkour that has been remodeled into a wonderful place to stay. It has a loft for kids that made me wish I was ten again. Kids would love it! We enjoyed the downstairs with the spacious bedroom and comfortable bed. We cooked our meals in the well outfitted kitchen. The living and dining room was relaxing and inviting. We appreciated the beer and prosecco in the welcome basket. I mentioned that I had hurt my knee, and Claire stopped by with hiking poles I could use. So thoughtful and kind. We enjoyed our time visiting sites along Hadrian’s Wall. This was an ideal base for that.

Kim’s cottage had everything we needed for our stay. The pint of milk was really appreciated after a long journey- thank you so much. The bed was super comfy and shower hot and powerful. We had a great meal at the pub across the road . All in all a lovely spot for a short break .

Cosy Coach House

JamesRating, 5 stars5 days ago
The Cozy Cottage is small but perfectly adequate for 2 people. It is stylishly decorated and furnished and spotlessly clean. There are pubs, cafes and shops just a short walk away. The kitchen is stocked with a few store cupboard ingredients making self catering easier than usual. I can't fault it. 5 stars.
