Cabin with garden & valley view

KayaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We loved our visit to Lesley’s Bruton summer house. It was kitted out with everything you might need for a weekend way, was clean and felt like a lot of thought and care had been put into all aspects of the decor. We enjoyed the private little garden and the easy walk into the centre of Bruton. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area mostly on foot and ate very well at restaurants nearby. We would highly recommend a visit and would love to come back again soon!

Pippins - Luxury Farm Getaway

AmandaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
What a lovely place, we loved it 🥰 Fantastic peaceful and private location. Well thought out property, really nice interiors, spacious, and well equipped. It felt really homely. Fresh eggs from the farm and biscuits on arrival were a treat. We didn’t meet Helen but she was a great responsive host before and during our stay. We hope to be back when we’re next in the area.

The Old Rectory Retreat - Spacious secluded luxury

HollyRating, 5 stars7 months ago
We were visiting family locally but would have come to stay here anyway as the accommodation is very special and in a beautiful rural locality. Sean and Zoe could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The accommodation is really comfortable and with interesting furniture and art works . The king size bed was luxurious and the view from the bedroom overlooking the hills beyond was a wonderful start to the day. Lamyatt is a very pretty village close to National Trust properties, lovely rural walks and great pubs and restaurants within a short driving distance. Bruton and Castle Cary , the local towns, have plenty of interesting shops. Wells is also nearby with the Bishops Palace and the Cathedral. We were there over Armistice Sunday and went to a service there. The Retreat is well named, tucked at the back of Old Rectory and is completely private. But Sean and Zoe were always on hand to help in any way. Thank you so much - we would love to come back.

The Apple Store

SophieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had the most delightful time exploring Bruton with Jocelyn’s lovely Apple Store as our base! It was the perfect size for the two of us - very cosy inside and with the most gorgeous front garden. Jocelyn was a warm and friendly host. We highly recommend a stay here! 🍎🍏🍎

Gants Mill Farmhouse - walking distance to Bruton

EmilyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We all loved staying at Gants Farmhouse - there was so much space for the kids to explore - be it the beautiful orchard, heated pool, veg garden, collecting eggs from the chickens etc. You really feel like you are in your own little world when there. Farmhouse very comfortable and high quality, nice beds and well arranged kitchen. Beautiful easy short walk (ten mins) through fields into Bruton for amazing restaurants, bars and art galleries - we didn’t use the car once!

Really enjoyed our stay in this house! Was very clean and had lots of amenities. The locks are a bit hard/finicky but there are clear instructions so just make sure to read carefully.

Stylish Cottage in Country Town

SydnorRating, 5 stars3 months ago
A Wonderful Stay in Castle Cary! Castle Cary is a charming town, full of character and all the services you need. The locals are so friendly, making it feel like a real hidden gem. The house is perfect for a family stay—comfortable and beautifully designed, blending modern style with the historic charm of a home dating back to around 1550. There’s a sunny little courtyard, and it’s wonderfully quiet. Robert was a superb host, always helpful and responsive. The town offers a fantastic chip shop just a minute’s walk away, plus vintage and second-hand stores, great produce, pubs, hardware shops, hair salons, and a butcher. The weekly market, which has been running for over 500 years, is a real highlight, offering fresh goods and local treats! There are lovely countryside walks nearby, and the train station, just a 20-minute stroll away, offers easy access to destinations, including London. We didn’t want to leave! We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and will be back.
