Apartment holiday rentals in Colchester

We have just had a lovely week here, the flat is a good size and has everything you need. The kitchen is well stocked and all the appliances you need, a modern bathroom with great shower, plenty of room and comfortable bed and unusually it has lots of storage which is very useful Its in a great location just over the road from the beech and had some lovely walks along the beech and into the village which has a good selection of shops. Parking is really useful and Kelly was very helpful with recommendations locally. We really enjoyed our stay and the flat was perfect for us very clean and well presented, and would definitely recommend staying here

This is my second time staying at Maria’s Annexe, and again it was a 10/10 stay. Like last time check in was easy and flexible, the accommodation was spotless and felt clean too! Maria come and greeted me in person to introduce herself as last time I don’t think we got the chance too, and offered use of the garden and garden Gym should I wish too which made me feel very welcomed. Last time I stayed I recommended an upgrade on the TV in the lounge and this had been acted on, so it showed me Maria takes on board recommendations from guests to make their stay as comfortable as possible. Peaceful and beautiful surroundings to wake up too, and very quiet that I had no problem going to sleep, and not to mention the black out blinds that are present too! All in all this is probably one of the best places I have stayed! And I will be back for sure again. Worth every penny.

The apartment is in a good location 8 minutes walk from the city centre, very beautiful decoration, the pots leave a little to be desired and the bed is also not very comfortable, but the sofa bed is perfect, a very beautiful apartment.

Beautiful apartment in a very peaceful setting. Surprisingly spacious and we were very grateful for the little touches of wine, croissants and toiletries. The hosts were so helpful with recommendations and swift with replies. The bed was comfortable and the balcony was just gorgeous. Thank you so much! Couldn’t recommend this stay more.

Lou greeted us upon arrival. We have already communicated through messages, and she gave us directions on how to get to her house in the simplest way. The accommodation is part of the house, but it is completely private, it has a private entrance, the only thing is that the yard is shared, but it does not bother us. We felt good and it was nice.

We had a great view days at Imran’s place. He was really responsive and helpful and checked in with us regularly to make sure we were OK. Apartment was lovely - really comfy, spacious and had literally everything you needed! He has thought of everything! Location great for town and the marina where there are lots of restaurants, bars and things to do. Felixstowe beach 20 mins away which is great for little ones as they have amusements and a cafe and park. Thank you Imran - we will be back!

Chrissy is such a thoughtful host and the property is just perfect - the private outdoor courtyard is a great place to chill. Loved it!

Michelle’s home is the best, most beautiful and comfortable Airbnb I’ve been in so far, I wish I had more time to stay there, I didn’t want to leave. The place is absolutely spotless, you feel at home instantly. I highly recommend this home! Worth every penny, perfect for if you’re wanting a place to just escape from life and relax, I would definitely stay at Michelle’s again, thank you for such a wonderful stay

We had a lovely, relaxing few days stay over the Easter break. Everything was exactly as described, in fact, even better than the photos. Lovely peaceful location, hosted extremely well, with everything you need in well thought out accommodation. Would definitely recommend.

Sarah was the perfect host. This was my second stay at one of Sarah's listings. Studio apartment was exactly what I needed, and close to everything. I felt very comfortable there, like home away from home. I have already booked to go back in July. Thank you Sarah for making my time with my family so much easier and very comfortable.

The place is as per the photos. Clean, tidy, everything you need. Would book again without hesitation if I needed to stay anywhere near Ipswich. Colette & Carl are really responsive to messages, and a lovely friendly couple. Can't fault anything.

The accommodation was spotless clean and very easy to find. Modern accommodation, matches the photos and the hot tub was warm and just the perfect way to unwind. The peacocks and peahens were amazing to see and the surroundings were peaceful. Loved every second of it. Thank you for the welcome basket and for the peacock food. Would definitely recommend.

Anna’s was such a wonderful place to stay for a few days. Very private and quiet, but close to so many attractions if one decided to be adventurous. The space was clean, warm and welcoming. And the hot tub was just the icing on the cake after a long day exploring. We would definitely stay here again and happily recommend to friends and family.

Stunning views from an equally stunning property ...it is as the pictures describe . So beautiful . (The hot tub is easy to light , we used 4 woodies firelighters to get it going but had we not have read previous reviews we probably wouldnt have taken the logs , you will need 4 bags ) The hosts are both lovely and very helpful..Lovely walks from the property , to the tiny village and down to the estuary.....Thank you for letting us have a share in the beauty of this place. We look forward to returning.

Cheap and great place to stay , I booked just day before , the host was excellent on communication, very friendly, easy to understand details of check in , I was very late to get in and had no problem, very clear instructions what to do , I'm amazed how simple it was to get in , very easy 5 stars from me , clean place , quite place , just what I needed, thank you so much 🙏🥳

A lovely family lives here, and the room is as advertised: very spacious, with a comfortable bed. The location is perfect, a 5 min. walk to town center, with all the shops and restaurants. The apartment is in a very quiet street, which was great at night. The host and her family are very responsive, friendly and make you feel at home easily. I had a very comfortable stay.

Such a beautiful area. Way better than being stuck in a hotel room for a night and Simon was very friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend.
