Cottage holiday rentals in Cloughton

We had a fantastic stay at Tim’s place! The location was perfect – just around the corner from local amenities and right in the heart of town. It was also only about 10 minutes to the forest and around 30 minutes to Whitby, which made day trips really easy. The hot tub was spotless and ready to use as soon as we arrived, and we were greeted with a lovely bottle of Prosecco – such a thoughtful touch. Tim was an incredibly responsive and understanding host throughout our stay. We’ll definitely be back in the future

Beautiful cottage! It was so lovely wake up to the chickens and it was such a treat to use the hot tub in the evenings. The cottage was really spacious and we enjoyed the food festival in Malton and the easy accessibility to York on the train from there. Thank you so much!

3 Railway Cottage is a fantastic base to explore the amazing beauty of North Yorkshire. The cottage is located a 20 minute walk from the centre of Pickering but is in a really quiet and private location. The only exception of course is the opportunity to wave at the heritage railway trains that pass at the back of the cottage a few times a day which is really amazing, especially if you wave from the comfort of the hot tub! I can’t recommend this location highly enough, it is a really comfortable and well equipped cottage in a fantastic location - what more could you ask for?

Lovely cottage in a great location. Walking the surrounding area from the house was great and very near to a pub and tearoom which both served great food. The hot tub was an added bonus!

The cottage was lovely. Well equipped kitchen. Spacious and warm. The real selling point for us though were all of the activities available on site. More than we got value from to be honest and a future stay would be longer. Perfect escape opportunity for a group of families as you have your own space but also plenty of communal areas and lovely grounds. Also not far to Malton. Pretty town and well served by independent shops/cafes as well as supermarkets.

Lovely relaxing cottage with everything we needed. Very cosy and relaxing setting with great views from back windows. Enclosed garden for dog or children. Hot tub was a great perk which was well used by us. Rillington village within 10 min walk which had a small shop and a nice pub ( the fleece). Tips for other travellers The fleece in rillington has a nice garden of weather nice and the food was nice too and dog friendly Ham and cheese which is a 5 minute drive the food was very good and dog friendly too although probably too far to walk Lots of walks nearby, we went to dalby Forrest, mallyham spout in goathland and Levisham near Pickering New Connie’s Chinese in malton was also very good

We had the most beautiful stay — the cottage was peaceful, private, and instantly felt like home. Everything was spotless and smelt amazing, with such a lovely, calming vibe throughout. The decor was gorgeous, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The hot tub was the perfect finishing touch for a truly relaxing weekend. The hosts went above and beyond with thoughtful details like fresh eggs in the morning and chocolates waiting for us on arrival. Communication was smooth and friendly from start to finish. You can really feel the care and effort put into every part of the stay. I’d absolutely recommend this place — it’s a little gem, and I’d love to return!

Wow Lisa’s house is beautiful with amazing views. Honestly nothing better than relaxing in the hot tub listening to the sound of the waves. The house has everything you need however we didn’t cook and ate out. Lovely peaceful area and we didn’t see any of the neighbours. Opening the bedroom curtains on a morning with a a stunning view of the sea just wow. This is the place if you want a nice relaxing time away. We highly recommend it and will be returning

Wonderful stay in a charming cottage that offered all we needed and more.

We stayed at Hilda Cottage for a family birthday celebration. The cottage is characterful and situated in the beautiful village of Robin Hood Bay. It was a perfect house for our family weekend. There is a large stting room and kitchen so plenty of space to get together. There is lots to do and places to visit in the area.

A lovely few days away staying in this cottage. The location is excellent with a short walk to the shops, beach and pubs. The cottage was perfect for a couple and the pup. would love to book another stay here.

What a perfect place to stay. The cottage is cute and cosy and has everything you need. Every convenience has been thought of. Everything is of high quality. Bed was super comfy, really nice quality bedding and the shower was amazing. The village is gorgeous and food at The Eskdale and the Downe Arms was superb. There are so many great walks in the area, even from the front door which was fab. Co-op was really handy for last minute items too. Annette was a great host. Very welcoming and friendly. She gave great recommendations for places to visit and things to see. We had really clear instructions for getting into the cottage on arrival. Annette always answered any queries quickly. A really lovely place to stay. We will be back. Thank you Annette.

Beautiful little cottage, clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. We loved watching the amazing variety of wildlife including curlew's with their chicks in the wildflower meadow behind the cottage. Being located on the top of a hill, the views are stunning as are the sunsets. We highly recommend Hilltop Cottage and will be returning hopefully soon. We had a wonderful stay. The cottage was of a very high standard with beautiful furniture, very comfortable bed and a high quality kitchen. We loved all the extra touches like the personalised mats and shell wall decorations. Hunmanby was a great place to stay. Lovely beach walks and the local fish and chip shop is a must for fish lovers. Thank you very much Michelle. We were very impressed with everything! Our dog Molly had a lovely time too. We really loved Clarey and Barney’s place! We were treated so well! They were very warm and welcoming, and they responded promptly. The house was just as beautiful as it looked in the photos. We stayed for two days and went for walks every evening. The peaceful village made us feel so comfortable.

The peaceful location by the edge of the churchyard in the centre of the town is what makes this place ideal for a visit to Pickering. The cottage is very much as described. The kitchen is well equipped. The shower is excellent, and the heat and hot water are very efficient. I was mildly anxious about parking, but in fact we had no difficulty parking on a quiet street adjacent to the cottage.

A very nice place to stay. The cottage is very well furnished and equipped with everything needed for a short break. It is a good location within walking distance of all that Whitby has to offer. Brigid’s instructions on parking were really clear and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our break.

Apricot Cottage is a very well arranged Airbnb. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. We could've done with a washing machine, (we are away from home for a month) it wasn't a problem, just something to be aware of.

We had a fantastic mini break at Overgreen. David and the girls (the dogs!) were super friendly and the facilities were great especially for mum (88) and dad (93) with limited mobility. My son (13) loved the games barn and played multiple games of snooker, pool and table tennis - I enjoyed relaxing with mum and dad (and the complimentary wine!) in the sunny back garden. A lovely couple of days and we hope to be back.

A lovely cottage! The view can’t be beat. Inside, it was warm, cozy and comfortable. It’s a short stroll to the high street, but it is uphill. Makes the return easy, though. Location can’t be beat. The beach is across the street. We enjoyed ourselves. Joe and Sarah were excellent hosts!

Everything about this place was luxurious, which is exactly what we wanted. It's clearly been really well thought out and the space converted beautifully. Location wise it's perfect for you to park up and walk around the town. Crystal was lovely, very proactive in providing all sorts of information we might need without us having to ask and when we did have a problem finding the key she answered the phone and helped us out immediately. Something I wish I'd thought about as a super light sleeper is that obviously being in the centre of the town you can hear a fair amount of noise overnight/early morning. This didn't bother my husband, but it kept me up so I thought I'd mention in case it's a problem for anyone else. Also one of the bedroom windows is directly opposite the main door to another property so when they walk past to enter and exit they could see right in. Probably won't bother most people, but again thought I'd just mention it in case it does. Would still highly recommend!

Our second stay in this beautiful holiday home. Immaculately presented and lovely hosts. Great location, quiet but ideal for walkers and those on driving holidays. Also excellent for any one with mobility problems. Handy for Dalby Forest, Whitby, Pickering, Scarborough and the many lanes less travelled, fabulous scenic views and picturesque villages that North Yorkshire Moors has to offer. Also handy for the North Yorks Steam Railway. Our favourite and most perfect holiday haven and we will return again in the future.
