But we are still just a short drive to nearby communities for numerous activities to enjoy. We have kayaks and a canoe for rent enjoy an evening on a nearby lake watching the sunset and listening to the loons or enjoy some fishing from the kayak. In the winter enjoy our Outdoor Sauna, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, x-country skiing, or ice fishing.

The Maynard Cabin, a Civil War era log cabin

The Maynard Log Cabin was erected by a homesteader after the civil war. We have moved and restored it and made it available for rent. It is off the grid, but it has a complete functioning kitchen, wood stove and sitting room downstairs. There are two antique beds with new mattresses upstairs. There is no electricity but the cabin is furnished with kerosene lanterns. The bathroom facilities consist of wash basins and outhouse. The cabin is surrounded by 40 acres of woods and meadows.

Jodi’s property is cozy and charming. She has supplied everything to make your visit easy and enjoyable. The outdoor fire pit area is great for watching the sun rise and sun sets and there is plenty of firewood available. The dock with built-in seating is also a plus! Jodi’s recommendations for shopping, dining and coffee were great. Highly recommend this accommodation.

i would definitely stay here again, such a cute and peaceful place to relax, as well as many things to do locally and close to the little towns of Battle Lake where there is a grocery store, restaurants, pharmacy and a fantastic ice cream shop! The cabin was fully equipped with everything you would need, and was so cozy. Look forward to another stay there.

We had a great time here! A very secluded property and it was very easy to find. My husband enjoyed canoeing around the lake and fishing and my dogs enjoyed swimming and running around sniffing through the wooded parts. It was so quiet and peaceful, and the cabin had everything we needed.

This was our 2nd stay at this cabin, and we loved it again! Soleil is super easy to work with and her place is exactly as described. Beautiful lake view with great fishing right from the dock! Stunning sunrises and a lovely deck to relax on when not fishing or out on the kayaks. Wonderful wildlife sightings rounded out a fantastic weekend! Thank you!

We stayed in this beautifully done new home for the weekend and hosted family dinner one evening. It was cozy and lovely environment especially with the fire place. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and serve our family, plus plenty of coffee! I loved the open floor plan and high ceilings! Would love to come back in the fall or summer and enjoy the screened in patio with extra dinning and seating space. Would stay again!

My fiancee and I stayed Sunday to Friday for a work trip. The location worked exceptionally well. The house was very cozy and comfortable. The views were amazing. Everything was as stated and stocked very well. Couldn't have asked for better!!! Hopefully will be back in the area. This would be our first choice as a revisit!!!! Thank you so much!!!!!!!!
