“This delightful cottage was our first air BNB in the UK and only our second ever. Lawrence is a super host and now we understand why. Communications from start to finish were speedy and extremely helpful. On arrival we saw immediately that the photos and description did not lie. The cottage is immaculate, clean and stylish but also very comfortable. It is in a great location in Blakeney only a couple of minutes walk from the Quay but very quiet. Lawrence is very knowledgeable about the area and leaves his guests good tips for sightseeing and places to eat and shop . On arrival we found that we had been left a bottle of wine and some delicious biscuits as well as tea coffee milk etc together with a good supply of condiments and staples. There are books and games for guest use too as well as a wood burning stove. If you want to cook the kitchen is well supplied with pots pans utensils etc. We can confirm too that the cottage is cosy in winter weather. We plan to return and would definitely recommend both Lawrence and the cottage itself.”
Bird Box is a traditional Norfolk 'brick and flint' cottage which has recently been restored to reflect modern living whilst retaining its Victorian character.
“I cannot recommend staying in bird box cottage enough- it’s the perfect gateway for a couple! The cottage is even more beautiful in person, amazing location in the centre of Holt and Mel and Alastair were outstanding hosts. Check-in was incredibly easy ( they even left hand sanitiser above the key box!) and once inside we had Prosecco and homemade bread waiting for us and also a birthday card and cupcake as we were celebrating a birthday- what a start to our stay! The excellent communication and all the recommendations we received made everything so easy! Thank you both again, we hope to be back ASAP!”
Ideally located in a desirable private road in the charming coastal village of Cley-next-the-Sea - a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Stylish first class accommodation, perfect for two. Pretty views, off road parking and private garden. Open fire & Wood- burning stove. Walk to the beach or take a pleasant stroll to the nearby Wiveton Hall and Farm as seen in the BBC's "Normal for Norfolk"
“Sky Blue Cottage is a very stylishly furnished and decorated cottage right in the centre of the village and has absolutely everything you could think of - logs for the fire, blankets for the tv, even electric blankets for the very comfy bed, and lovely touches like a welcome bottle of wine, nibbles and biscuits. Very clear instructions given for everything which is very helpful, and an excellently equipped kitchen. First class. The local smokehouse a few minutes away had an amazing and delicious array of foods, as did the deli, both of which we availed of. If you want a very quiet away-from -it -all place this is ideal, there were not many people about in the village and not a sound or a light at night. The local pub was closed and due to reopen soon we understand and the next nearest one was also closed the night we walked there! Cley Windmill is literally a few minutes walk away and has a quaint dining room with a limited menu, very trad food, lovely staff. Blakeney is a short drive away and has a couple of good pubs, in fact we regretted that we weren't staying for the weekend as there were various events on there, live music etc. Normally you can access Cley beach from the windmill so just a few minutes walk away from the cottage but the path was closed for renovation, we drove to the car park on the beach a little further away and walked to Blakeney Point where we saw the seal colony - millions of them - fantastic! Would absolutely recommend Fraser's place for a quiet few days away in a beautiful place.”
