Family-friendly holiday rentals in Clarence

The place and the location were absolutely stunning and we loved tending to and then sitting in the hot tub at sunset.

If you’re adventurous and enjoy unique places, then like us, you’ll love this place!Thankfully for us the weather cleared the afternoon we arrived and we had fantastic views of the mountains and surrounding areas. Some persistent stoking of the hot tub paid off and a good relaxing soak in steaming hot water as the clouds rolled in and rain started in the late evening was beautiful!

We loved staying at the Villa, the perfect spot for our families to get away. the Spa was an absolute bonus esp with the snow. The house was heated upon arrival which was so welcoming. Hosts were very responsive and helpful. Thank you.

We had a lovely weekend at Richard’s. Perfect for a quiet relaxed getaway. With mixed weather we got to make the most of both the fire place and hotpool but also the swimming pool on the hot day. Highly recommend the farm tour - such a beautiful place and Richard was an excellent guide and host!

We throughly enjoyed our stay here. The location is stunning and an easy walk to the township. The house was very clean and well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Olivia was a wonderful host and such a pleasure to deal with. We would highly recommend this holiday home and would love to stay there again 🙂

We absolutely loved this place, highly recommend staying here. Kitchen had everything you'd need, including a slow cooker which came in handy! Lots of space both inside and out (our party was 4 adults plus our toddler). Also the hosts were lovely and very accommodating. Will definitely be coming again.

Great visit to Wacky Stays, the animal feeding was a really nice bonus to have and Holly was so welcoming and gave great instructions on everything. Beds were comfortable and just what we needed after a long drive up to Kaikoura, was very quiet even though being a working farm. Highly recommend staying here. Next time will try the yurt or the train carriage.

Such a fun, quirky place with an amazing view! :-) We had a lovely time staying in the wagon and watching the llamas, can happily recommend.

Kevin's House Truck was great - funky, comfortable, well equipped and had everything we needed. Location is great, close to Kaikōura and all the major tours and activities. It's a shame we only had one night to stay here because we could have easily stayed longer.

Atypical and charming place. Our kids loved sleeping in the old stagecoach garage with the horse stools on display as decoration. Mike and Linda were very welcoming and showed us around the property which has many surprises in store! Despite the rainy weather we had a lovely time!

We had a faultless stay - the yurt was so fun, very well decorated, well equipped with coffee, tea, farm fresh eggs, bread and jam. The bed and chairs were very comfortable and the kitchen was clean and well equipped also - nice and rustic! We love camping and this was super fun glamping. Don't expect a 5 star resort, it's a unique glamping experience - we've never seen anything like it and we loved it! We went on a llama trek one day (highly recommend - another unique experience!) and fed the animals on the farm the following day - a really great experience! They have other "wacky" accommodation too including a train carriage, teepee, gypsy truck and large old horse drawn wagon - so cool! Would definitely want to try out the wagon next time too... Kevin was friendly, welcoming and helpful! Genuinely loved this place. A highlight of our two weeks in NZ for sure!

This is a lovely place to stay surrounded by lavender fields and the mountains. The cottage is spacious and has everything you need. Myra provided fresh bread, yoghurt and musli in the morning.

Any confusion re: location was all mine. Once I understood I needed to check in with the Top 10 Park office, it all became too easy. My wife & I had 4 family friends from overseas staying with us, & they were VERY impressed. Kitchen Appliances, Linen etc, & then the beds themselves -firm, but we all slept really well. The bathroom was rated highly by all, & a separate "powder room" off the lounge area was a bonus. The lounge area easily accomodated us all. Outside on the deck was a Weber Gas BBQ for our use, but sadly not for us this time. A very well thought out design given the constraints of the building external dimensions. Inside, it feels very generous in it's proportions. We highly recommend this as an excellent place to stay. Try to book it for more than just a single night, which was our only regret. Our compliments to our hosts, who btw were very easily contacted. Thanks again.

This is a great place. perfect location to walk to everything in town. The fire was fantastic on chilli nights.

very convenient bach in terms of space for bigger groups. Handy sleepout. Spacious house with good outdoor seating. A short drive into Kaikoura. Beautiful beach across the road if you go for a short walk through the forest.

Great location! And a very comfortable place - with a spectacular morning sunrise view! A little bit of a walk to reach the beach and coffee shops - but the quiet location was worth it!

Very nice place, clean and modern. The host was helpful and gave us clean towels every day. The kitchen is a little small for a longer stay but still functional.

This airbnb is like a motel. ours had 2 good sized bedrooms and there was plenty of room inside for the three of us. All facilities were good. Shower was good. Kitchen utensils if you want to cook. It was clean and had everything we needed. The lady on the desk was very friendly and helpful when we arrived
