A very nice place that was clean and well appointed. The outdoor fire and couch area is fantastic but for the price would have been nice if there was a bag of firewood ($20 at servo) and we couldn’t find fire utensils. Also missing ice trays. Would definitely stay there again.

This has to be one of the nicest places we have stayed in. Place was absolutely beautiful, plenty of bedding, and super comfortable beds, there were even toys for the kids which was a bonus. House was very well presented. Would definitely recommend.

Spacious, clean & comfortable with excellent heating. On a quiet but central street surrounded by lovely trees. We hope to return soon.

My husband and I stayed for two nights (Friday and Saturday night) on our weekend away without children. It was comfortable and in a very quiet location, even on a weekend. I appreciated this aspect of the home, as it is important to me for relaxing. Highly recommend staying here.

Ry’s place is very clean, neat, and spacious. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is there. We particularly liked the character of the home and the cosy feel. We would recommend Ry’s place to friends and family.

Mandy and Rod were nothing short of fantastic hosts. We were met on arrival with Mandy warmly greeting us and providing fresh eggs from her chooks. The place was amazing and had an extremely comfortable feel to it. If we ever needed anything they were only a short distance away and were always super responsive and accommodating and went above our expectations as hosts. The Family was friendly and having the dogs about were a great addition, especially with our kids!!Highly recommend.

We loved the authenticity and ambience of the cottage and the peaceful surrounds. For those who live a nice open wood fire this is a perfect spot. All close to beautiful sites, especially Yackandandah and Beechworth.

We had the pleasure of staying at Orchard Cottage just after Easter 2025. The weather was perfect and so was our temporary home and beautiful surrounding countryside. Jamie and Linda had provided eggs, bacon and bread for our first breakfast and the kitchen was stocked with butter, coffee, tea cereal and a carafe of port on the table too. The beds were firm and comfortable with deep plush doonas – plenty of extra blankets in the cupboard if required – but with aircon and the wood burner no need. The fire was already made up and ready to go. We really enjoyed playing in the backgarden and visiting the chickens. Took a few dips in the pool - very chilly (it was late April). Lots to do in Beechworth (but was very busy being Easter), Yackandandah was a bit more chilled. Would love to come back

Christine is a lovely, helpful host and her place is centrally located just a short walk from Rutherglen's main strip. She genuinely cares about her guests (particularly the four-legged ones) and is always available to answer any questions or have a chat! The home-cooked brekky was a particularly nice part of the stay.

This place is very pretty in winter and the house was so warm! only downside is there was no fencing to keep my dog. Constance was a great host and very responsive as we had an outage while we were there and the host brought us some candles until the power came on. location is great, very close to supermarkets. Thanks Constance

Tony is a very responsive host. The kitchen light stopped working and Tony organised an electrician to get it fixed on the same day. Thanks Tony. For optus users, just be mindful that Optus doesn’t have good coverage in Albury, you may want to make other arrangements to access internet when there.

The house was perfect for our two families and having your own private access to the lake was amazing. Amy was a great host and would always respond promptly. We will definitely be back

Mister Browns was the right last place to stop on our way from Brisbane to Melbourne. Super cozy and so well appointed. The cottage is such a relaxing place to stay and we felt right at home.

Lovely older home. The place is older, slightly disjointed in the layout and toilet is at rear with a step to access - kitchen also has a step. But we were still able to navigate just fine. Had coffee and milk and some left over condiments, there was also some body wash and toilet paper - just remember the shampoo and conditioner and you’ll be right. No dryer so have to go old school with the clothes line (although it rained our last day and it all got soaked :) so look up the weather before using!) Overall it reminded me of childhood and we were comfortable for the stay, I will add it felt so much bigger than described. There’s a living room with massive couch and huge dining table - you will not feel cramped. Bonus for the board games in the cupboard - made for a fun night, also there are hundreds of DVDs hidden away in a wicker basket if you’re into that.

Perfect base for a couple of days in Albury for my son’s AFL comp at Lavington Sports Complex. Warm, comfortable (very comfy sofas!) and a great space to relax at the end of a long day. Would be about a 20 minute walk to the Main Street in Albury - we had dinner there one night and didn’t want to brave the cold but easily got an uber. Nathalie was friendly, flexible and responsive.

Great place in perfect location. Clean and tidy and well set up. Was very cold day but the gas heating and AC took care of it quickly. Last minute change to bring our dog wasn’t too much trouble. A second toilet wouldn’t go astray (2 great bathrooms but only 1 toilet). We will definitely stay again. Thanks guys.
