Unit does not have kitchen but does have fridge with freezer, gas grill, microwave, hot plate and crockpot with some utensils. Perfect set up for anglers and hunters in DL area.

Fort Totten Inn is fascinating. The inn itself feels like you have stepped back in time to 1890. Guests have access to a full kitchen (but stock groceries before you get there; the nearest store is a bit of a drive away and once you get there you won’t want to leave). The inn is just one of many historic buildings that started as a US Cavalry fort and then became an Indian boarding school. The on-site host, Marybeth, was kind, knowledgeable, and friendly. I wish I lived closer- I want to bring a bunch of friends and stay again!

I loved my stay! As a travel nurse I spent an extended amount of time at this location while I commuted to work. Phil and Noel were wonderful. They were always so friendly and accommodating. I tend to be a bit shy but they were such warm hosts it was easy to feel comfortable very quickly. They and their kids were great to live around during my stay, their property was beautiful and peaceful, and the little town of Anamoose was very charming (the coffee shop was great to visit.) There were plenty of fishing spots within short distance, and the quiet country experience of being away from all the noise and light pollution was a very refreshing experience. I would definitely visit again in the future.
