Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Chattooga River

this cottage is like something straight out of Anne of Green Gables! The upstairs rooms were all so cute. We slept with the windows open and listened to the creek at night. The fire bowl was great for s'mores and the setting was lovely. Celeste was very.yeasy to work with and I truly didn't want to leave

We had a blast. The creek and scenery was awesome. The cabin was perfect. We even got in the creek and played some. Clayton was an awesome town as well. Highly recommend.

Great cabin super close to downtown Highlands. Looks just as great as the photos, perfectly clean, very nicely appointed and furnished. This was a much better situation for our family over a local hotel. We would definitely come back!!

Staying at Mill Creek Cottage was much like visiting a beloved friend’s house. We’ve stayed in some Airbnbs that were almost antiseptic and boring. Not Joan’s place! It was wonderful and quirky and comfortable - and had absolutely everything we needed. We spent five days hiking, grilling out, playing games, and just sitting on the deck watching the birds and enjoying the mountain air. If we ever head back to Hayesville I will check to see if this cottage is available!

Our family stayed at Terry’s Airbnb for a family vacation weekend. We absolutely loved this home. It was like staying in a painting! So charming, cozy and close to town. Terry was extremely communicative, friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We highly recommend staying at Terry’s Airbnb anytime you’re in Clayton.

Will be coming back to this space!! So beautiful, every detail and amenity was available and thought through. Felt right at home & was able to bring the pups! We forgot a water bowl & Lindsey had one ready for us when we got there with plenty of paw towels and doggie bags!! Also, expect a pretty steep driveway! We have a 4-WD and AWD vehicle and had little to no problems. Thank you to Lindsey for offering this amazing space !

We loved our stay. It was a quick trip so we needed something the right size for a family of 5. Caitlins place was perfect.

My son and I really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and the host friendly. Location is tranquil, private, and close to stores/restaurants or hiking trails. Will definitely be saving this place for future getaways!

What an excellent find. At one end of the small but densely packed downtown Highlands, we were no more than a 5 min walk from all the restaurants and shops we could want. The place was private and quiet while close to everything. I would recommend it.

Don and the rental were fantastic. I can only wish that every Air BnB was done this well. Water on every table. The bathroom had everything you might have forgotten. The fridge had soda and water in it. Even had a Smores setup for the firepit outside. I will be back here regularly and Don's place will always be my first choice. Dons hospitality was world class. It is very hard to find genuine hospitality and Don hit it off the mountain.

The property was conveniently located and easy to find, situated in a pleasantly rural neighborhood with minimal traffic and a welcome sense of isolation from the city. The accommodations offered a commendable level of privacy, and the room was generously spacious, more than sufficient for my needs. I particularly appreciated the serene and tranquil atmosphere, which greatly enhanced the quality of my stay. Overall, I highly recommend this Airbnb to others seeking a peaceful and comfortable retreat.

We had a very nice couple of days at William and Lori's place in Seneca. It was cozy and nice to have a place to come home to each day after our outings of touring waterfalls in the NW part of SC. Conveniently located to everything we needed including restaurants, the parks that we visited and grocery stores, etc.

The place was honestly a bit smaller than I had expected, but it was my first time ever renting Airbnb so I didn’t even read descriptions before renting, so that’s on me. Everything felt pretty comfy and my favorite part was definitely the sound of the river at night, gives an extremely peaceful vibe to the stay. It’s also a great location to find waterfalls for those wanting to hike. Excellent location, would definitely rent again.

I enjoyed staying at this quiet and peaceful place. It was neatly kept, clean, and comfortable. Dave and Barb were great, and I also enjoyed meeting Beans! Thank you for a wonderful place to stay during my trip.

The Hosts were very nice and welcoming as well as very respectful as well. We enjoyed our time together with them as well walking around the yard. I think their apartment is very well put together and we appreciate them with helping on the price as well as allowing us to check in early. We truly appreciate their supportive actions for our stay. The condo was exactly as described. It was very comfortable for our family of four. Well stocked kitchen, homey decorations. We especially loved the screen porches. Richard sent clear instructions for check in and check out. Overall, a very nice stay!

The unit was as described. The location was quiet and private. It would be perfect for two people but was, as expected, a bit tight with two adults and two teens. Thankfully ours was a short stay so it worked great. It is rather dark because it is mostly below grade so the only windows are in the bedroom. There were plenty of linens. Stacy was very responsive.

In love with this Airbnb! It was our little quiet space outside of the Gatlinburg chaos. We were so comfortable and relaxed and loved seeing the wildlife in the property (we saw four bears!!). Can’t recommend this enough.

Fantastic place. Very modern and up to date. Location was perfect. We were in town for a large wedding. Most of our party stayed in the marriott courtyard downtown. We were easy walk to them and even closer to all the great places in Greenville that we wanted to see.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this Airbnb! It was exactly like the pictures, and the bed was super comfy. Plus, the place smelled amazing! The parking was such a fantastic perk, especially since finding parking in this area can be a challenge, especially now with the new baseball stadium nearby. We loved that it was just a short walk to Gay Street and right across the street from Balter Beerworks, where the food, drinks, and service were all top-notch. I’m already looking forward to our next trip to Knoxville so I can book this awesome place again!

Chad and Allison were fantastic hosts. The place is absolutely beautiful and lots of things for kids to do. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway with lots of things to do, this is your spot. Will definitely book again.
