Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Chamula

We definitely enjoyed our stay here. The house oozes with character. It is certainly one of the more unique properties we have stayed in. The good: the rooftop deck, plenty of potable water, comfortable beds, interesting house with nice artwork and furniture. The meh: this house is like an escape room. Without instructions we would never be able to access it or any of the rooms. There are at least 8 or 9 different keys that open different doors around the house. It was very confusing at first and since we arrived at 2am we couldn’t find one of the keys and had to climb out a window to access the second bedroom. We found the key the next morning - it’s all part of the fun of travelling! Also, the bedrooms are on the lower level and although they are comfortable, they get quite humid. The showers are hot, but the temperature goes in and out. Lastly, the house is a 20 minute walk to Plaza de la Paz. We often walked there and took a taxi back for either 50 or 60 pesos. The bad: nothing!

Awww war das ein tolles Haus. Wir haben uns unendlich wohl gefühlt! Eine absolute mexikanische Erfahrung, die Arbeit die im garten und jeden Detail steckt ist unglaublich. Wie bei Frida Kahlo . Draußen ist sogar ein junger mann, der auf die Straße aufpasst. Danke für die schöne Erinnerung, die für immer bleibt !!!

It was 19 people including kids. Fit all of us comfortably. I would recommend only one person to shower at a time otherwise there won’t be enough water pressure and warm water for everyone. It was easy to get places from where we were. Could have probably also walked but it would have been about 1+ miles to get to the restaurants and shops. Enjoyed my stay overall

Muchas gracias por sus atenciones, la casa está muy bonita; yo no lleve coche pero el anfitrión me supo dirigir para poder caminar de la casa al centro y me llevo de 20 a 25 minutos; aunque hay taxis y como a 2 cuadras, transporte público, pero decide caminar para conocer un poco la ciudad. todo muy bien, la casa cuenta con todos los servicios y esta muy cómoda. Le informare a mi familia y amigos para que no duden quedarse en Casa Judá.

Sin duda el mejor lugar para quedarse en San Cristóbal, un exelente trato y una atención maravaillosa. La casa está en una de las zonas más lindas de la ciudad cerca de todo, pero tranquila y silenciosa. Amplios espacios, jardínes maravillosos, todo limpio y de gran comodidad. Si van a San cristóbal no duden en alojarse con Rebecca sin duda el mejor anfitrión que hemos encontrado.

Fantastisch huis, met veel smaak en zorg ingericht, op een toplocatie, op loopafstand van het centrum. De tuin was een geweldig surplus, heel beschut en privé, met overal plekjes om te zitten. Verder waren er meerdere open haarden waardoor we het ‘s avonds heerlijk warm konden stoken. Aanrader!

I had an incredible stay at this Airbnb! The fireplace was a delightful touch, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere in the cozy space. The cleanliness of the property was impeccable, and its central location made it convenient to explore all the wonderful attractions in San Cristobal. Additionally, the strong Wi-Fi connection was a big plus for staying connected while traveling. The host was very welcoming and accommodating, making sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay.

Schöne Wohnung mit einer wunderbaren geteilten Dachterasse. Maria Luisa hat sehr detaillierte Informationen zur Verfügung gestellt und war immer für Fragen erreichbar. Die Lage hat mir sehr gut gefallen, alles ist schnell zu Fuß erreichbar.

We stayed here for two months, April and May. The best thing about this apartment is the beautiful view of San Cristobal and the surrounding mountains from the terrace. The wonderful host, Luis, who lives on the premises, was educated and well-traveled, and we enjoyed talking with him about the different places we had both been in the world. He was also always immediately responsive to any issues we might have. We have lived all over the world since leaving the US 20 months ago, and the kitchen was quite large and, hands down, the best we have had anywhere. Also, we thought the beds were very comfortable. And the property also has its own washer and dryer. The house is divided into several Airbnb rentals. It is pretty walkable to El Centro and the Guadalupe Walking Street—about a 15 to 20-minute walk. In addition, there are restaurants, shops, a pharmacy and an OXXO close by. The park is about a half-block away, and it is easy and inexpensive to get a taxi from there to anywhere in San Cristobal. The downside would be the same as everywhere in Mexico that we have been—noise, although the internet (usually a problem) was actually pretty good here, and compared to other places we have been in Mexico, we really couldn’t complain much. The street has a fair amount of traffic, but we didn’t hear a lot of dogs barking, which is usually a big problem for us in Mexico; however, we did hear firecrackers—sometimes because of people celebrating a particular holiday. We never felt unsafe, especially walking at night, but we always stayed on the main streets in the main areas.

Todo excelente, buenos anfitriones, lugar muy agradable, la pasamos padrísimo, Sancris se vive mejor si te quedas más de 2 semanas, el lugar es ruidoso de cuetes alrededor de Navidad y año nuevo, hay muchas escaleras por subir de la calle a la casa, y hace frío en las noches pero tiene calentadores y chimenea padrísima, caminamos mucho 2.5 km al centro lo cual estuvo maravilloso mantenernos activos ya que comimos demasiados postres.

Johanna é muito prestável, comunicativa e simpática. Foi sempre extremamente fácil e rápido comunicar com ela. A casa estava impecável, muito parecida com as fotos, com muita personalidade. Limpa, confortável e super bem localizada. O único problema é a questão da água, que infelizmente é algo limitada na zona de San Cristobal de las Casas. Mas totalmente compreensível essa questão e a Johanna foi sempre muito prestável e nunca nos faltou água, tanto potável para consumo como para banhos e descargas.

This is a beautiful apartment in a traditional colonial house. There is a lovely garden and great views. The house is in a quiet area but is a 5 - 10 minute walk from the main walking street and also close to the mercado and a supermarket. The El Tzitz cooking school shares the property. We took a class with Irma and loved it! There is also a great little cafe in the Kukulpan Hostel two blocks away for excellent coffee and pastries. The apartment has many thoughtful features - including comfortable and private utdoor seating. This accommodation really added to our San Cris experience. Helga and her cleaner were both fantastic! Helga offered us some travel advice and checked into ensure we were comfortable. The cleaner (sorry I missed her name) let us into the house and showed us everything we needed - including the laundry (which we really needed). Highly recommended!

Es una casita tranquila y cómoda, falla un poco la señal de internet pero si tu plan es relajarte, esto no te afectará. El anfitrión muy atento desde antes de nuestra llegada y durante todo el periodo. Muy recomendable

Ein unglaublich geschmackvolles Häuschen in San Cristobal! Es liegt ruhig und schön am Rande des historischen Zentrums und hat alles, was man braucht, um sich wohl zu fühlen! Fernando ist super hilfsbereit und seine Weinbar im Zentrum absolut zu empfehlen, wenn man guten Wein und tolle Atmosphäre liebt. Wir würden sofort wiederkommen!!

Excelente lugar para disfrutar con la familia o en pareja, muy cómodo y muy muy muy bonito! Todo estuvimos encantados con la casa.

un lugar muy cómodo, agradable y amplio. Hicimos un viaje de 12 personas, todos estuvimos cómodos y alegres. comíamos juntos en la zona de comedor, platicábamos alrededor de la fogata. la atención de Naty y José Manuel insuperable. muy recomendable.

Muy hermoso el lugar, a mi familia le encantó. Además que las dos cabañas grandes parecen casas por lo espacioso y equipadas que están. Y de noche todo se ve increíble con las luces que tienen de adorno, y la fogata es un plus que hace muy amena la noche. La cocina igual de grande y equipada y buena atención por parte del vigilante José. Sin duda una gran opción para disfrutar de un evento o fiesta, o incluso estar todo un fin de semana en grupo. Y aunque no está en el centro, está muy cerca.

a nice spot in central SCdlC, a perfect place to get away for a weekend or a week, to share a small space with someone close.

Stunning mini castle indeed. Good: very spacious, surrounded by nature, multi-level, with fireplace, view and a terrace. Better planned that many houses in the area. Wanting: slow internet, far away from everything, a bit damp inside (but such are almost all places in San Cris). Overall: amazing place for long term stays if you have a car and do not mind the internet.
