Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Cephalonia

Great apartment with a wonderful view of the valley and sea from the terrace. Landlady Hermina was super friendly and helpful. The bed was super comfortable, the beach of Petani around the corner. Nothing was missing, some coffee was available on arrival. We were very satisfied, it was very quiet at the beginning of June, great for relaxing. We only used the kitchen sparingly, but it was well equipped. Everything was as described, we felt very comfortable.

Honestly the best Airbnb we have stayed in. The semi private cove was a big highlight, no one else used this our entire trip so felt like we had a private beach on the doorstep! The views were incredible from the garden, one day we planned to go to the beach however enjoyed the garden so much we decided to stay! Great distance to lassi where the restaurants and bars are. Paid €8 for a taxi into argostoli and took roughly 7minutes to drive. Very good location’

An absolute gem of a place. Emma and her mother made our stay simply perfect by providing everything we could have asked for and more. The spacious and comfy house was easy to find and super clean, offering every comfort needed. It offers a lot of privacy and quiet, along with incredible views of the surrounding sea and mountains (the visiting cats were a big plus!). It's location also makes it easy to get to one of the beautiful beaches or a great place to eat after only a short drive. We had an amazing time here and can't wait for a chance to return. Thank you for having us! =D

We really enjoyed our stay! The house was wonderful, and the view from the terrace during breakfast was absolutely gorgeous. We felt very welcome and would definitely recommend staying here to anyone visiting Poros.

The house is small but lovely with great views. Basic kitchen supplies, but we had everything we needed. Supermarkets, closest beaches, airport and city are all a 10-15 minute drive, so a good place to discover the island. Not many things on walking distance though. We thought the bed was a bit hard, but depends on your taste. Overall great stay, would recommend!

Staying in the villa feels like staying at home: it’s cozy, well equipped, decorated with love and Angie and her family are all incredibly nice. A huge bonus- they can prepare food for you which is with home grown vegetables and tastes amazing. We had no issues with the check in or when leaving and I feel we were very lucky to have found this place. If you want peace and quiet, a gorgeous view and the privacy of a whole house, this is your place. 🧡

Fantastic stay :-) The house is very well accommodated by Spyros' wife, she thought of everything you might need. Everything is spotlessly clean, nice and big kitchen, really good bed etc.... The garden and places to sit and relax are really great. The location is superb because you live in a small street with greek people! The center is very close, it took us only a 5 minute walk. Please do not hesitate to book this place it is well worth it's money! The hosts are very friendly and communicate very good, if you have any questions they respond almost immediately! If we revisit Kefalonia we will go back there without any doubt :-)

Very nice, bright, spacious apartment. Good location: Just 10 minutes. Walking distance to Katelios beach with many good restaurants. The beach there, mediocre. Very good, mile-long beaches with sand are in Skala, about 7 km away. A bakery with cafe right under the apartment - opportunity for a great breakfast. 2 restaurants very close: the quaint Jerry's right next door and 200 m above the Persa's (Reserve!). Nick was a very likeable host - always available. His apartment is at night, until midnight, sometimes a bit noisy because of the road to the sea and to Skala. But with closed windows and doors and lowered blinds it is quiet again. With the air conditioning then no problem. The apartment can be recommended.

Makis was an absolute Superstar of a host! He even picked us up at the airport when we arrived and left 2 bottles of water and a lovely bottle of Greek wine in the fridge for our arrival. The Veranda suite is immaculate and Makis has thought about every level of detail. It is single handedly the best air B&B we have stayed at. The property is spotlessly clean, modern and tastefully designed. The balcony is massive and has a hot tub with the most stunning views over the bay. The bed is unbelievably comfortable and spacious. The property is located in a very peaceful location and it’s a lovely 10/15 min walk along the shore front into the main square (€7 for a taxi back at the end of the evening). We are already planning to come back next year as we had such a brilliant time!

Full marks all round for cleanliness. Everything you need and so well situated for beach, restaurants etc. Owner went above and beyond in making our stay go with ease even quickly calling in on us to check everything was ok. The Studio is great value for money

Christina and her parents are kind and generous hosts, providing basic provisions and gifts of home-grown pomegranates and eggs from their own hens. The apartment was light, airy and well furnished, with good bed linen and plenty of towels, loo roll, shower gel, etc. Good light-excluding shutters and quiet, efficient air con. The gardens are pretty and well-maintained with seating in sun or shade, as preferred. Attractively lit in the evenings. The views of the sea and mountains are stunning from dual aspect balconies, which are in sunshine all day long. 10 minute walk to the sea and nearest tavernas. Narrow beaches are stony but accessible. 5 minute drive to pretty port of Sami with small supermarkets, shops and many bars and tavernas. Ferries to Ithaca and mainland. No sandy beaches locally. However, the sea is beautifully clear.

Nina has put together a beautiful apartment with personalised furnishings showing her skills as a ceramic and an interior designer! Well felt at home the moment we stepped into the apartment. Everything is in top shape and the view from the balcony on to the bay and the marina is stunning! She was very accomodating and quick to reply - there is not a thing to complain about! A definite recommendation!

Staying at Anna’s place in Vlachata was truly an unforgettable experience—everything was better than perfect! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality that made us feel right at home. The accommodations were immaculate and offered all the comforts we could have wished for. A special shoutout to Spyros, whose extreme kindness and invaluable tips truly enhanced our stay. His local knowledge helped us discover hidden gems we would have otherwise missed, making our trip even more special. Our place was right on the beach with only a few steps for a daily morning swim. The small town is charming and an easy drive to any where on the island. Would highly recommend as a place to stay.

This was a fabulous home base for our week in Argostoli. Walkable to the centre of town, very close to shops and restaurants, but far enough from the centre that it feels very peaceful and quiet. It was so useful having a fully equipped kitchen and laundry machine. The view from the main window and the deck is beautiful. Dimitris and Niki were kind and responsive hosts who provided many recommendations for us.

Perfect place to stay while visiting Argostoli. Plenty of parking available (in May) and everything in town is accessible by foot (cafés, restaurants, markets etc). The place was really clean and comfortable. Kitchen filled with everything one may need. We got a warm welcome and host was available anytime.

Our stay at Panagis' accommodation was excellent. Initially he was always available and responded very quickly and willing to help. The home is located in an area where there is plenty of space to park and it's very quiet. The space is ideal for 2 people, the kitchen is fully equipped and the bathroom is functional. All electrical appliances(aircondition,washer) are new and work flawless. We didn't have any problems and definitely on our future visit to Argostoli we will choose Panayi's accommodation again.

Having never been to Kefalonia before, my partner and I had some initial trepidation in coming here for our holiday. We were aware that it was a fairly big island and wanted to get a rental car in order to travel around. George gave us a trusted and affordable car rental company who met us at the airport which completely took stress out of the whole process. George met us outside the flat and instantly made us feel welcome. He sat us both down and gave us some ideas for things to do around the island as well as some very good local restaurant recommendations which we took full advantage of. He lived just across the hall but we didn’t hear a peep from him until it was time to leave. George had also stocked the fridge with water and supplied us with enough coffee to last us our whole stay, and some (it was great coffee). We will miss both George and Kefalonia and hope to be back soon, what a place.

The apartment was exactly as pictured, with all the space and amenities needed for the stay. The hosts were also friendly and responded quickly, even allowing my partner to stay with me at the last-minute at no additional cost. The area was peaceful, a short drive from the airport and Argostoli, and just around the corner from a taverna (Καθ' Οδον Ψητοπωλείον on Google maps) that offered great food at an affordable price.

a great place to stay as super close to the airport. the home was tidy and clean. very clear instructions from Dimitris and he was super responsive. Unfortunately only one restaurant in walking distance but we did not have a car so would definitely recommend to get one! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Absolutely perfect stay in the heart of Lixouri! This house exceeded all expectations — immaculately clean, beautifully decorated with a stylish and modern touch, and incredibly convenient for everything you could need. It’s ideally located for exploring all the stunning nearby beaches, yet peaceful and quiet at night. What made it even more special was the thoughtful attention to families: the house was wonderfully equipped for a little toddler, with a comfy crib, toys, and little touches that made us feel completely at home. It’s clear the hosts truly care and go the extra mile. Highly recommended for anyone, including families — you’ll feel relaxed, welcomed, and truly taken care of in this lovely home. We can’t wait to visit again!
