Holiday rentals with a patio in Centre County

This was our second time staying at John’s house and we would love to return again for our next PSU event. The property is exactly as advertised. It is extremely clean, has a super easy keyless check- in process and is located in a very quiet neighborhood. We especially appreciated the thoughtful extras (water bottles, sticky buns, toothpaste, Tylenol, keurig coffee, shampoo, and tons more). It is a 30 minute drive to State College and I definitely recommend staying here for any PSU event.

This was our first time staying in an Airbnb, and Wendy made our experience a positive one. She met us upon our arrival, and she provided us with clear entry instructions prior to our arrival. She also had written instructions posted within the apartment when additional explanations were necessary. Everything about the apartment matched its Airbnb description. We would definitely stay with Wendy again, and can with confidence recommend the property to those considering a stay with Wendy in the future.

We visited the area to attend a graduation at Penn State and it was the perfect place to stay. Amy and her husband were so welcoming and ensured we had everything we needed. They were thoughtful with prepping the apartment with some toys for our toddler as well as setting up a pack n’ play which made our stay so smooth. We were minutes away from the Penn State campus but the neighborhood was still quiet. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a quaint, comfortable place near campus.

This was our second stay. The space was quite comfortable and adequate for our needs. Unfortunately, we had to leave earlier than we had planned.

The apartment was charming on a quiet street abs was decorated wiry lots of Penn State pictures and even reproduction of the Lion Shrine ! Leroy and Kelley were very responsive to my questions and flexible as we added our daughter to the trip who slept very comfortably on the apartment couch. Special treat was a picture of Penn State’a only Heisman Trophy winner John Cappaletti who also went to my high school (Monsignor Bonner.)

Joseph is a great host; he offered excellent suggestions for local hikes, attractions, and restaurants. His place was spotless, and it was stocked with a nice selection of coffees and snacks. Mills Springs is a perfect location to explore the Central PA mountains; the Poe Valley Area is remote and beautiful; there is a scenic easy hike around Colyer Lake, which is only 15 minutes from the cabin. The location is ~20 minutes from State College and 25 minutes to a charming small town called Bellefonte. I highly recommend Joseph as a host and his cabin as a place to stay for a relaxing visit to the central PA mountains.

The place was wonderful. We enjoyed every part of the house, felt like home. The pool was amazing, we loved it.

Felt comfortable and at home the moment we walked in. Peaceful and SO MUCH BETTER than any hotel stay. Next time we are at Penn State we will definitely stay here. Highly recommend.

We travel to Pine Creek valley each year to kayak, bike, and hike. This location at the southern end saved us some travel time, and allowed access to all the activities that we wanted. Will consider renting again! Very nice host, we spoke briefly. I am a cat lover, and he very responsibly attended to his barn cat on the property, earning respect points from me! Garage space was nice to unload kayaks, bikes, and gear, and coolers. Beautiful vista from the front. If you have young children, the neighbor's kids were extremely friendly. Definitely 5 stars!

nice place, mid80s feel built, cozy and has everything you need, quiet and convenient to highways

Erika was awesome from start to finish! The house is perfect for a family of four or even six! The living room furniture was quite comfortable and there were extra pillows and blankets in the bedrooms. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you might need for your stay. It’s a perfect little house for a weekend stay in state college!

Natalia had a perfect house!! It was exactly as the pictures showed, and better! The house was immaculate, comfortable, beautifully decorated and the neighborhood was nice and quiet. The coffee bar was a huge hit and the outside patio was beautiful and comfortable for evening cocktails. Communications with Natalia were wonderful and check in was easy. We are hoping to come back next year!!!

Great place to stay! House was beautifully decorated and clean. Hosts were super responsive! We stayed for PSU graduation so it was close enough to campus but also in a quiet area so we got to relax after the hustle and bustle.

The "Colorado Cabin" greatly exceeded our expectations. The only mistake we made was only booking the home for a weekend. (We've corrected that by booking a 4-day stay for the Fall!) Our hosts (Doug and Ashley) were quick to respond to our questions. The home was spotless. The place was well stocked from the bathroom (plush linens, all sorts of soaps and creams) to the kitchen (bottled water, more condiments than we could ever use, coffee). And to top it all off, a "Welcome" gift. We gave Doug and his team an unqualified "10" on a 1-5 rating scale. ---Mark
