Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Central Manitoulin

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at William & Priscilla’s place. We were in town to visit with my adult daughter who lives nearby and celebrate her birthday. I was able to make all her favourite meals in the very well stocked kitchen including baking her cookies & cakes from scratch. There were plenty of cooking pans, dishes, frying pans pots, cutting boards, knives, baking tools, a bbq, a huge fridge & freezer, dishwasher, spices, salt & pepper, sugar, coffee etc. They were incredibly nice and accommodating when a couple of small kitchen tools broke (a whisk, hand blender & can opener all broke during regular use) they quickly came over with replacements and were so lovely to chat with. I felt very comfortable and very much “at home” in this space. It felt like we were staying at a family cottage rather than an air bnb, loads of character.

We were on Manitoulin Island for a Celebration of Life Ceremony, and while we flew in from Victoria, BC, we had friends and relatives driving to the Island from all over Ontario and most stayed at the nearby Hotel. Inessa's place was perfect for hosting the family and friends after the ceremony--plenty of room for everyone, a nice fire pit in the front yard for the evening, plenty of seating in the main living room and adjoining dining area. Everyone was impressed with the place, and asked for more information. I spent several summers on the Island as a child at my grandfather's cottage on Lake Mindemoya, and at my great uncles' farms nearby. Even though the area had changed a bit since I was last there, it felt very much like home to me, and even more so having a fantastic place to stay for a few days after and to explore the Island. Inessa responded to all my questions in a timely manner, was always friendly and accommodating--couldn't ask for a better place!

Christopher’s place is absolutely beautiful. Overlooking Mindemoya Lake, it’s nestled among tall trees and a serene landscape. The entire family are great hosts—very warm and helpful. Aside from the regular hosting essentials, they went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Greg was especially kind in teaching us how to start a fire for the fire pit, even providing some of their own firewood and fire-starting equipment. They also shared some excellent local recommendations and Sandra gifted our group a lovely children’s book written by Christopher’s wife, which was a thoughtful touch for the kids. One of the unexpected highlights was how incredible the place was at night—perfect for stargazing and astral photography. With minimal light pollution and a clear view of the sky, captured some unforgettable night shots and spent hours just watching the stars. I highly recommend their place as the first one to check if you’re planning a trip to Manitoulin Island.

What an amazing escape from the hustle and bustle! The Blue Baise had everything we needed to feel completely comfortable and at ease. It was wonderfully private, and waking up each morning to such a beautiful view was truly unforgettable. A perfect place to relax and recharge.

Great few days at Marilee's place. Ideal location, easy to explore Little Current area and wider Manitoulin Island. Everything was as described and matched the photos. Plenty of space and garden was nice to sit out and relax...and talk to the chickens! Marilee was very easy to communicate with and was always responsive.

Love love love the place.Absolute bang for the buck! Has everything you need and more and the details are to die for.A true hidden gem in the woods and has lots to do nearby and the owner is very warm and friendly.10/10 recommend

We had a wonderful stay. Wilda could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The apartment was really comfortable and we had everything we needed and more! So many options for breakfast food we were spoilt for choice. We did not want to leave and would love to return.

We had a wonderful stay at Matt’s lakefront cottage! The view was absolutely stunning, perfect for relaxing mornings and peaceful evenings. The cottage is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, both indoors and outdoors. We especially enjoyed the outdoor BBQ, cozy campfire area, and kayaking right from the shore. Inside, the entertainment options kept us just as happy, and the kitchen was a real highlight with modern appliances and even a water filter (such a thoughtful touch). This place truly has it all. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a scenic, comfortable, and well-equipped getaway!

This is a lovely house in the area, clean and quiet, located near waterfront and downtown of Little Current, very convenience for people to explore this beautiful town!

A very cozy atmosphere and well designed. It was a home away from home.

We were two retired couples who rented the apartment for 3 nights. Very pleased. Walk-able location in Little Current, on the main street. Great views of waterway, bridge, and sunrise from the comfortable balcony. The apartment was as shown in pictures and as described. Chris was very helpful. Instructions for parking, entrance, and use were clear. With central location and over businesses, over night noise could be an issue. Sound generators were provided in the bedrooms. Beds and linens/blankets were comfortable as were living room furnishings. Loft bedroom wasn't used, note that ceiling height is limited beyond the centre of the room, as in the pictures. Bathroom very nicely renovated, hot water and towels great. Kitchen was well equipped for utensils and pots and pans. Bring you own condiments, spices, and tea/coffee for the kettle and basket coffee maker provided. Note that access stairs are steep and internet was slow. TV not 4K and sometimes had to wait to spool the feed.

A great basement apartment, spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. A perfect spot for exploring the beautiful island. Hosts friendly and helpful
