Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Central LA, Los Angeles

Norma was a great host! Helped me out on my first night since I came in so late - and then everything else was as described. Silver Lake is a great neighborhood - I'd stay again if the listing is available to me next time I am in the area. 🙂

Norvell’s home away from home was perfect for us. We had a family wedding and needed a big, comfortable place with a great kitchen. This place was perfect. It was spacious, but the layout made it feel even more spacious. There are stairs as you enter which lead to the main level. The extra long table was ideal for our family. I had to do some cooking, and the large island was amazing for prep. We especially loved coffee on the front deck. There are lots of bathrooms and comfy beds. Honestly, I was so grateful for this beautiful home. Weddings can be stressful; Norvell and his home took away any complications. This place is wonderful! He is a very responsive and friendly host.

I enjoyed my stay. Just was responsive and laid out all details about checkin and checkout. He was clear and honest. Beautiful and clean space. It was close to everything and lots to do. The space felt safe and homey. If I ever return to LA, I would stay here again if possible.

In December, we stayed at Michael's home for 5 days (see my review). We so enjoyed our stay that we came back for almost a month. This time was even better. The house is very easy to live in. Michael has thought of every amenity. It is so organized, modern and comfortable. The beds are big and comfy (even the bunk beds are doubles!). That, combined with the quiet neighborhood, made for some really restful sleeping. As others have said, we too enjoyed watching the big screen TV from the plush sofa. I cannot imagine a better host than Michael. He genuinely cares that you enjoy his home.

By far one of my favorite Air BnB's. The back yard was pristine with a fireplace, clean lawn furniture and an incredible pool/jacuzzi. The house was really cozy and the beds were super comfortable. I highly recommend this place.

Home is unique, as are all the homes in this part, at least, of LA; it has its own personality and character, every bit as nice if not nicer in real life than photos are able to depict. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. The narrow street going up the hill gives the whole neighborhood an old European feel. Very much enjoyed the secluded back deck surrounded by the lush foliage [there's a balcony in the front, as well.] The back porch/lanai is secluded, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have a great view of the hillside opposite covered with trees and homes, each one its own unique style. The fire pit and the hot tub were just right for enjoying the coolish evenings and mornings. Marine mist that grays the morning sky also makes the air smell wonderfully fresh, especially when the sun comes out, like clockwork, around mid-morning. Master bedroom opens right out onto the back deck and the hot tub.

Kevin’s place was an ideal location and the views were absolutely stunning. He was very communicative and checkin and checkout were super easy

We enjoyed our stay at Steven’s place! Instruction video for parking was very helpful. Lots of nearby Korean restaurants and rooftop pool with views of DTLA !!

We were in town for a concert at the Palladium and it was a walkable distance from the location. The space was perfect for what we needed and the host was readily available when we had questions. Would definitely stay here again!

Cozy and comfortable place. Matched the photos. I had to adjust my arrival date and Maxime took a little longer to respond once. Every interaction was very quick and helpful. The instructions, videos and photos were spot on so follow them precisely. The apartment was very clean and airy. I love to cook and was very happy with the utensils and cooking pans. There was even seasoning available to use. There was a Whole Foods a 10 mins walk away. The neighborhood is on the rebound and I didn’t feel unsafe. You can drive or walk around. I would definitely stay again.

Maria’s home was fantastic. Location was perfect. The apartment was incredibly clean and equipped with everything you could need. The views were amazing! Check in was straightforward, we followed the instructions on the booking. Needed to make a brief call for Maria to verify but she picked up on the first ring. Also had a small issue with parking (not Maria’s fault at all!) and she was very responsive and dealt with it very quickly. All in all, our stay was wonderful. Thank you Maria!

Stay was great. Felt right at home. Make sure you follow the check in details correctly. Felt a little uneasy at first but became comfortable once you settle in. Great location. Walking distance to LA live. Will return!

Stefania was an excellent host. Always helpful and responsive. When we arrived we were tired, it was late, and we had some trouble finding the building. If I had printed out her instructions it would have been a breeze. Felt safe and the unit is centrally located. Both the bed and sofa bed were very comfortable. Loved the spacious patio! I recommend using the parking inside the building garage. The street parking is free but fills up quickly. Overall, a nice choice.

The parking is difficult if you have a car and you will need to pay so be warned. But Cyrus was very responsive and helped when we couldn’t find parking. The place is really clean with beautiful views of DTLA. I wanted to sleep outside with how gorgeous it was. Would gladly stay again

Finding a rental in this area of Los Angeles is very rare. It’s near where my daughter and her family live so we could walk there every day without having to hire an Uber or Lyft. Plus the area is quiet and felt very safe. We would definitely stay there again.

What a cool place! Kagel Canyon is so close, yet feels world's away from the frantic pace of LA. The house is great - and you quickly get used to the canyon's winding roads to a parking spot right at the gate to the property. Host Vic is very responsive - when we had one issue the first evening, he was there in less than 10 minutes to correct it. He and his co-host are dedicated to making improvements to create a perfect guest experience - even brought over a new table & chairs for the patio while we were there. Kagel Canyon may be further away from downtown LA & Hollywood, but has a similar vibe to Laurel and Topanga canyons, legendary hangouts of the late 60's. Quirky and interesting homes amongst the giant trees - fun to stroll the streets even if there's alot of up and down hiking. Especially enjoyed hiking up the trail from nearby Veranda Dr. - 360° views down into the canyon and into the mountains. Very quickly felt at home - a perfect respite from a very busy city. 5 stars!
