Joe's place was exactly as described - tranquile farm stay with all kinds of wildlife visits! It even had everything for breakfast - bread, eggs, cereals, coffee and fruits! even an avocado!!! we also needed some extra milk and he was able to help with that! thank you Joe - we'll come again!

What an amazing Cabin!! Perfect for a quiet getaway and located within reach of numerous Wine tasting options. We will definitely be returning.

Couldn’t recommend this place more! Vicki and Roger were the so kind and helpful our whole stay, made us feel right at home. It was a an absolute pleasure to stay in your cabin. The scenery and farm friends we loved and the hot tub was a lovely bonus! Everything was clean and we had everything we could need.

Antonina was a lovely host, who responded straight away to any questions we had. The home was just as described very beautiful with lovely surroundings. We felt so relaxed in this beautiful private surroundings. Would definitely recommend and we will hopefully be coming back in Easter.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay on this property and had everything we needed. I think 3 nights would have been best to have more than one full day to relax. Coming from the city, we felt drenched in nature and the beautiful sounds of birds. The noise continues at night with the nocturnal creatures- possums on the roof! The only thing ruining our serenity was me- taking photos!! but how could I not? We enjoyed hanging out at the river. My two kids liked visiting the chickens and collecting eggs. The other animals kept their distance but provided a peaceful outlook. As per other reviews - you do need a lot of mosquito repellent day and night and to just embrace the older cabin vibe. Thanks for the experience.

Edwina and her husband were lovely hosts, and Elfin Hill is a great complexthat is well appointed and maintained. We enjoyed our visit.

The house was in a beautiful secluded location yet close to many wineries. I loved that the wood stove was set up and ready to light which was a lovely touch for our cozy evening. This is a great rental for a great price!

We really loved our stay. The house is very spacious and had everything we needed. The perfect location for the nearby wedding at St Joseph's we attended. The property is spectacular and very well maintained. We enjoyed our morning walks around the property and seeing the animals. The views from the house are amazing. A great place to relax and unwind. We didn't get to met Pinny but we had a lovely chat with Harry. A very likeable fellow. We hope to visit again one day.

Little Red was a great weekend escape. Red was very comfortable and cosy for two. We had such a peaceful time From bbq breakfast in the morning, watching the birds fly around and singing to stargazing in the outdoor bathtub next to the camp fire at night

We used the house as a base for our daughter’s wedding on the recommendation of a friend who had done the same. It proved to be a great idea as the house provided ample space and facilities for bridesmaids and our family. The grounds and house were perfect for wedding prep photos and videos. The setting is beautiful with sweeping bush views beyond grassy paddocks. Everyone who stayed with us agreed it was perfect for us and we may be back in the future for another wedding!

Great property for a group or family with plenty of comfy bedding. Lots of towels & provisions like soft drinks and milk in the fridge & assorted chocolates on the table. Kitchen has plenty of crockery, cutlery, utensils, appliances, glassware etc. Meredith was easy to contact, she was responsive and very accommodating of our needs.

We absolutely LOVED our stay here! Peaceful weekend getaway in family. The hosts are very welcoming and friendly. The place had everything we needed for our stay with extra thoughtful touches that made our stay even more special. It was lovely to feed the animals and use the firepit to roast marshmallows 😋 Thanks so much Kristen and Paul!

I cannot rate this high enough. This place was lovely. My friends and I took a trip here to end my journey in Australia and we were absolutely in awe. Perfect place for a quiet retreat. Emma was each contactable the whole time and just lovely. Cannot recommend this place enough. Will bring the family back here when we are next back in Australia

Went for a girls trip and it was a beautiful stay. Both Daniel and Renee were responsive throughout the stay and we stayed warm thanks to the fireplace Daniel set up for us each night. Most attractions in the Hunter Valley were within a 20 minute drive :)

Great place and location for a group base to explore the Hunter valley. Relaxing and easy to stay. Good amenities and well appointed house.

Thank you Susan! My mum, sister and I had the most wonderful stay in the Hunter Valley. The cottage is private, peaceful and surrounded by beautiful vineyard landscape. Susan & her husband even let us ‘forage’ for passionfruits for our breakfast in their lovely cottage garden too. Couldn’t recommend the stay more for those looking for an authentic countryside escape. Thank you Susan! Xx

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, property was in immaculate condition. Kitchen was stocked better than any place I have stayed before with just about everything you could need - don't even have to wash your own dishes if you don't want to (just put them in the washing machine). The views from the property were great, amazing birdlife and even Wallabies/Kangaroos in paddock nearby, sensational ! Weather was pretty cold at night so it was awesome that the lounge room had a lovely wood fire 🔥, with plenty of chopped wood stacked around the property. We were at Wollombi for our son's wedding and everything went very well, staying at such a picturesque accomodation became part of amazing memories for this big event in our lives.

We had a wonderful time at Hollybrook in the Homestead House. It was so well set up, and there were countless little extras that were thoughtfully provided to make the stay easy. There was heating options for all areas of the house which we needed in the frosty evenings and mornings…and we loved the inside fire! The setting is just beautiful - a gorgeous valley, fields where kangaroos and wild deers visited late afternoon, and beautiful grounds around the house. Loved the deck and relaxing in the sun with a cuppa and a book until it was time to move to the outdoor fire pit…a hard life for a few days! Heather was extremely friendly and welcoming, a wonderful host where no question seemed like too much trouble. Would highly recommend Hollybrook if visiting the area - Wollombi and all its charms so close - or just wanting some time away to relax and recharge. Thanks Heather and Brett for sharing your beautiful part of the world.

Our extended family had a wonderful long weekend at Windmill Lodge. There is lots of space and the kitchen is well stocked with everything you need for large groups. We also made use of the wood fire for pizza and the extra large paella pan. Lots of lounges and seating and a big long dining table perfect for large groups. Tanya was very helpful is setting up extra beds as we required and we felt very at home.

A beautiful stay in the treetops. The place was cozy, clean and homey. We loved the fireplace and the Pups also had a fabulous time!

Owners went above and beyond even to a point where a bag was left and they posted it back to Sydney without additional charges. Stunning view, mineral pool - the photos don’t do it justice.
