Holiday rentals with a kayak in Central America

Jean’s place on lake Atitlan is just beautiful. So green, and the birdsong in the morning is wonderful. Lovely views of the volcanos from the roof and down by the lake. We really enjoyed the paddle boarding and kayak. Even in the rainy season it was beautiful in the mornings and we hailed a lancha from jean’s dock, so very convenient. (Walkable or Tuktuk-able to San Marcos or tzununa). Just a lovely time and so nice to meet Jean and Joaquin who was very helpful!

This is by far the best Airbnb I have ever stayed at. I’ve traveled to a lot of Airbnb’s in many different countries and none compare to this. Finding this place is surely an adventure but once you are there, you don’t want to leave! I can’t say enough good things about the chefs that will cook you every meal. We had them do all the shopping for our meals along with other items we wanted such as water and beer. The housekeeper services that help coordinate private boat rides to other villages, keeping the place clean, or even small things such as turning on the hot tub while we are away are truly incredible perks of this place. The property and views are just amazing and I can’t wait to come back here for my next stay!

This place was absolutely beautiful. The ladies that came and cooked for us were amazing. Food was amazing and so worth hiring them to cook for us. There really isnt anywhere to get food from around the area. Josue went and purchased the groceries for us and made sure that we had everything we needed. I cant wait to book this place again.

Verónica y las demás chicas, nos entregaron esa casa limpia y con todo lo que necesitábamos. Y Edgar y Eliseo fueron excelentes anfitriones, siempre pendientes a nosotros y los alrededores. La casa es perfecta, el lugar perfecto y las personas que conocimos también. Gracias por tremenda experiencia, 100% recomendado. No se arrepentirán de levantarse en esa casa.

Es un lugar increíblemente hermoso, con una vista espectacular al lago. La casa permite disfrutar con la familia en un espacio que tiene todas las comodidades para pasar muy bien. Definitivamente volveríamos a hospedarnos en este precioso lugar.

The house and property were as described and expected and we were extremely happy with our stay! We were specifically looking for something outside of the typical tourist spots and Gary’s place did not disappoint. Gary specifically stated that the mosquito population at his house was low and he was absolutely right! Just a few tips and recommendations for other potential visitors. - The kayaks must be taken down the hill to the beach for each use for security reasons. We hesitated to use them until our last day for this reason but we wish we hadn’t. Gary made it very easy and he took them down on his car. It’s an easy paddle to some snorkeling and nice beach areas. You can avoid paying for parking and hauling gear. - there is a public road between the pool area and beach where locals like to park and hang out. Shrubbery gives visual privacy but you may hear music. This did not detract from our stay. Overall we absolutely recommend this house to others.

Our stay was absolutely perfect! Jessica was an amazing host, with exceptional details and directions to the house and local recommendations that were spot on places to visit. Dillan was there to meet us and show us the place and make check-in and check out very easy. Her house is a fantastic place to stay in El Jobo. It was a short walk to a beautiful beach and the location gives you peace and serenity being right with nature, without being far from anything. The stars at night are amazing!!! We tried local restaurants like El Indio, shopped at the little store across the street and made the beautiful drive to La Cruz for coffee at Punta Descartes. We enjoyed the house and property so much. It couldn't have been a better experience. Jessica was so communicative and welcoming - she even sent a note to wish me happy birthday while we were staying there. She made it feel like we were staying at the home of a close friend. We enjoyed it all so much!

We really enjoyed our stay at the house. Cristina was very helpful to offer suggestions of things to do on the island. Check in was simple - we were greeted at the gate and given a tour of the property. Marcela and Andres were attentive to anything we needed during our stay and kept the house in great condition. The house is private, quiet, and away from town which is exactly what we wanted. There is a lot to do within the house - swimming pool, ping pong table, hot tub, billiards, outdoor hammocks, or just lounging inside playing games. Each bedroom was spacious and the house was clean. When ready to visit all the island has to offer, a 20 minute mulita ride is all it takes. We highly recommend to anyone wanting a fun and relaxing stay.

Their place is beyond amazing! It definitely feels cozy and peaceful. Jenny’s self made products are perfect, we acquire a massage oil and hair products, all organic and super natural. The gym was a plus, able to continue working out and enjoy the view. Clemens very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. Love the access to the lake! The WiFi was definitely stable and could work from there. Overall one of the best places you can stay!

Die Lage des Cottage ist wunderschön, etwas außerhalb des Ortes, sehr ruhig gelegen und der große Garten ist beeindruckend angelegt. Es ist perfekt um eine entspannende und erholsame Zeit zu verbringen und zu genießen. Gisi ist eine sehr nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeberin. We had the most incredible stay! Warren was a thoughtful host! Attentive and always available if we had any questions. The cottage itself was absolutely perfect! Peaceful, beautifully maintained, and a beautiful view of the lake. It had everything we needed for a relaxing and memorable time. Thank you!

This place is indeed a paradise. The beach right in front is wonderful, the village calm and pleasant, and the house itself is beautiful and welcoming. We asked Annette to cook dinner for us and the food was delicious. Witold the host is very communicative and helpful. Recommended especially if you plan on relaxing a bit in this location rather than moving around all the time, as the roads in this part of the island aren’t the easiest to drive around.

un lugar muy bonito y tranquilo. con muchis espacios públicos y tranquilidad tenia una vista increíble cuando sales de la cabaña. la falta de luces exteriores durante la noche en especial durante el check in lo hizo algo dificil. estaba algo polvozo y con telarañas. el uso de las instalaciones fue algo complicado en jacuzzi estaba vacío y apagado en sauna igual I los equipos para hacer kayac estaba todos bajo llave cada vez pienso q al no hacer una reservacion directamente con el alojamiento se siente como q no somos tan importantes como para darnos esa parte del servicio.

Beautiful, well-supplied and conveniently located. We really appreciated the use of paddle boards. We hope to come back to Hopkins sometime and would definitely stay here again! Thank you.

We loved our stay at Maya Moon Cottage! Beautiful location and setting. Flowers Vacation Rentals provided thorough instructions, and were friendly and responsive. The home was clean, well-equipped, and felt private from the larger guest house on the property. Like many past guests, we frequented the pool at the hotel next door. The cottage is about a 20 minute drive from the village of Placencia, so we were glad we rented a car for our family. Getting around was easy (speed bumps, beware!) and there are so many amazing local restaurants to discover.

Wonderful stay. A really nice little cottage, just as described, very beautiful. The beach isn't super swimmable (lots of sea grass), but there are kayaks which were fun, and if you go far enough you can do some snorkeling. The area is so quiet and peaceful, the exact opposite of West Bay/West End. Great location for kids with the small pool, our kids loved it and spent hours there. You really need a car rental to get around and get groceries, there are few eating options that are walkable. We loved our stay!

Everyone (Miriam, Jon and Victor, to name but a few) taking care of the property and guests are polite, caring and simply wonderful. The cabin has everything a couple or single person needs and is absolutely homey and cozy. The location and proximity to the ocean are excellent, watching the dolphins learn there routines in the morning is very pleasant and the location in Sandy Bay is perfect to explore the West End and West Bay areas, the East towards Mud Hole and its a few minutes walking distance from the Blue Bahia with there own wonderful staff and great on location PADI 5 Star dive centre, The Sandy Bay Divers. We had a wonderful time and would definitely book this same location again. If we go with more people, the House on the other lot belongs to Miss Lucile as well and is a wonderful size for two couple and/or kids. Thank you for a wonderful experience in Roatán.

This stay and the views were unreal! The our door area / view is priceless. House was very clean, and no complaints at all. Check in was easy. The only things I would point out is WiFi can be spotty at times (as expected, just a heads up for anyone who may need 24/7 access to it), and keep in mind it is about 30 minutes out from downtown La Fortuna which was no problem to us as we had a car to drive ourselves. Those are not cons though, only heads ups! There is no where else I would have rather stayed during our trip and our expectations were beyond exceeded! Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to travel to La Fortuna!

El alojamiento es tal y como se describe. Comido, seguro, limpio, con estacionamiento, comunicación fluida con el personal. El lugar es lindo y hay restaurantes en la zona, también se puede cocinar en la cabaña hay todo lo necesario. Importante que el lapso final al destino es terracería y un carro pequeño y bajo quizás pueda tener inconvenientes, especialmente en estación lluviosa.

This is our second stay at The Artist's Loft and it was just as peaceful as the first time in 2017. The view is breathtaking and I feel the best view of Lake Atitlan. The house is spacious, sunny and airy. I enjoyed the firm bed. The staff, Dorca, Milka and Nathanael were helpful and responsive. We enjoyed reading on the deck and had almost all our meals there. I became friends with the parrot Victoria and became attached to her. Everytime I saw her she made me laugh. We very much enjoyed our stay.

This place is awesome. Secluded yet right by everything. The tree frogs come out at night and sing you to sleep and the tropical birds awake you in the morning. There is a bit of a construction site near by, so a bit of noise if you like to sleep in, but nothing too major. You can walk anywhere in town that is necessary, but we had a car and found parking easy and convenient. Host was responsive the whole time and extremely helpful. The hot tub made this place feel truly amazing. 10/10 recommend

Amazing and beautiful property, that will be very high on my list to return to. Joao and his wife were amazing hosts, we arrived early, and yet they graciously welcomed us. Not only that, but Joao then invited us to join him on a horseback ride through the Jungle, that was one of the many highlights of my trip. If you get a chance to try take his horses out, say yes! you will not regret it. The property itself has everything for a very relaxing trip, the pool overlooking the ocean along with the many hammocks give are perfect spots to relax and take in the scenery. You can tell this is a well loved property by the owners, and is one of the best values I have ever experience in an airbnb. Thanks for a great trip, I hope to be back soon!

This property is gorgeous, we loved staying here tucked away from the tourist buzz on Flores. We spent a whole day swimming, lounging in hammocks and reading on the dock. Esvin was the keeper of the property and so quick to respond when we needed to ferry to the island or back to the house. Highly recommend staying here for a unique and peaceful stay. Thank you Mildred and Esvin for everything!

De los mejores, sino el mejor Airbnb en el que me he quedado. Las vistas desde la cabaña eran impresionantes, Edgar fue muy amable a la hora de recibirnos. Los perros al principio te ladran pero a los segundos jugaban contigo. Todo increíble, muchas gracias.
