Beachside Villa/4 BRs/Pool/4 Acre Estate

PaulRating, 5 stars15 months ago
We very much enjoyed our stay. The caretaker, Steven was very responsive and helpful. He went out of his way to take us to the grocery, a kayak tour, and arrange for transportation so we could enjoy a nearby resort. The property manager, Liz, was very helpful and gave us good advice on things to do. We were especially pleased with how well the kitchen was set with pots, pans and appliances. The pool was the star of the show and we spent many hours lounging and taking a dip. The house dogs, Molly and Maya greeted us every morning and are very sweet. It is a 30 minute drive from the house to a grocery, so it is important that one take this into consideration, and stock up when coming from the airport. Thank you for sharing your house with us.

Fort Morgan Cay: All-inclusive Private Island

EliseRating, 5 stars16 months ago
TRIP OF A LIFETIME! WOW! Just WOW! What can I say about Fort Morgan Cay, Islas de las Bahía and Mark & Julie that has not already been said? The island is breathtaking! Exactly like the photos but better! The staff is A+! The food was fresh & delicious! Mark was our host as Julie was sick during our stay in Feb 2024 and I feel like we made a lifetime friend even though we will probably never see him again, lol. His service did not skip a beat. He was extremely communicative prior to and during the trip. We always knew what to expect and were well informed. We celebrated my husband's 40th birthday here and I paid for almost ALL of the extras...sand sculpture, fire dancers, fireworks, snorkeling at Pigeon Cay, tour of local villages and mangroves, day tour of Roatan...Trust me it's worth it! Truly Beachfront Home. Breezy sunrises and sunsets

JosieRating, 5 stars3 months ago
It was lovely and helpful that the host arranged for direct water taxi with our luggage to the house. The quiet refuge on the north island was a great contrast to the hustle of the south part of the Caye. While there getting around on foot and by water taxi worked well, unless you want to see the estuary on the very north side of the Caye, in which case a bike is a good idea. There were several walkable restaurant options and a small convenience store near the split. We didn’t use the kayak and paddle boards, but the pool was great for heat relief and AC in the bedrooms was nice too. Walter, the caretaker, was super helpful and brought us fresh coconuts / coconut water. Really enjoyed Mario’s snorkel tour.

Remote, traditional, comfortable setting ..beautiful area, the Kuna Yala are very in-tune with Nature & their surroundings. I felt very safe and enjoyed speaking with many of them. I was grateful they allowed us to share their culture. They are very hard working and strive to please . I love their simple life. The meals they made us were healthy and delicious!

A Caribbean house facing the sea

RachelRating, 5 stars16 months ago
The location of this house on Isla Grande is wonderful! It’s a little ways away from the center of town and has its own dock. The ocean in front of the house is a little choppy, so we walked a little down and were able to get into the water. The lights did go out on the entire island, so you may want to take a flashlight just in case. The host told me to write to the care taker an hour before arriving, but when the caretaker didn’t answer my chat, the host told me I had to call her. Once I knew that, I was able to contact the lady to let us into the house. The top floor bedroom is amazing!!!

Overwater cabin at Chocolate farm in Dolphin Bay

BelenRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Dorien made us stay in the small 2-seater cabin visible in the photos. The cabin is very simple, with a fan. The toilets and showers are separate, but very close and clean. Dorien is full of attention: she welcomed us warmly, provided us with kayaks and snorkeling equipment and recommended hikes on the island. She also offers all of her Cacao farm during which she will not hesitate to show you all the animals and plants that live in her home, including a lazy family and Felipe the parrot. Her kids and volunteers are there to brighten up meals. We had a very pleasant stay, in a very quiet and peaceful little corner and in very simple but perfectly functional and pleasant conditions. Loved it! Dorien can arrange pickups from other lodges with her Captain:)

Private island, Granada

OscarRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The whole place is beautiful, nice bungalows, amazing view. The personnel at the place were very helpful arranging our boat trip, loading and unloading our bags, and cleaning the place for us in the morning. The only inconvenience we had was that one of the air conditioners broke, but I am sure it must have happened just recently. It does look like the place is usually well maintained. The pool could use some more ilumination for night use too, but not biggie. Recommendation: bring bug spray. It's nature, and there will be mosquitoes specially in areas where there's not much wind. Overall: Great experience!

Hilltop Jungle Bungalow

EllaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
This air b and b was absolutely amazing! Perfect location and the host was super responsive and helpful. the place its self was so clean and had so many amenities. very easy to get to by boat and the surroundings were beautiful and in a perfect location for a lovely sunset! Very close to a lovely restaurant also. The kitchen was so well equipped and there were so many items to help with keeping the bugs away so that wasn’t an issue at all. Even though 89 steps sounds like a lot to reach the property, the walk was completely fine and definitely worth it to get to the air b and b. Genuinely not a bad thing to say about it! Amazing!

Enjoy a Guna indigenous natural hut!

SaskiaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We stayed at Yulian's place for two nights. The place looks like the pictures, so everything is very simple and without luxury. The island is so beautiful and these two days were like a break in paradise for us. The beach is beautiful and the sea turquoise blue. There is the possibility to play volleyball on the island and also participate in tours. Transportation from Panama City takes about 3 hours (approx. 1 hour of serpentines). After that, you can take another 40-minute boat ride. The food on site is lovingly prepared by the locals and tastes delicious. Yulian was always very easy to reach and helped us immediately with every matter. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to be in paradise without great luxury.

10 stars. The villa was great. The staff exceeded expectations. If you’re looking for a cozy space for few family or friends, this is your spot. Communicating with owner and staff was excellent, they were responsive and solution oriented. The space is well maintained and accurately depicted in photos. Both interior and exterior, pool, landscaping and the whole property are in great condition. Cheers to Colleen. She personified excellence and care. The housekeeping was good and the meals delicious and on time. I highly recommend this villa and I will definitely return.

"LIVING WATERS ROATAN" CAMP BAY BEACH FRONT VILLA

DavidRating, 5 stars3 months ago
The Living Waters home is incredible. Walk in the front door and the ocean is right in front of you. Daysi met us at the airport, directed us to Eldon's so we could stock up (get everything you think you'll need, we didn't find other stores on the island with similar selections and its 1 hour from the house). We had Dulce, helped by her daughter, cook a number of meals for us. They were a delight and food was great. If you don't have a car you can get to a few places. Go to Cliffsides for dinner. Camp Bay Lodge is a few places down, everything we ate there was very good. Still I'd recommend getting a car so you can explore the entire island, for activities and local restaurants. A lot of people love the east end of the island because it's remote, but do prepare for some very rough dirt roads. Going even 5 miles on the east end of the island might take 30+ minutes. Everyone uses "whatapp" to communicate, so get it before you go. We loved Roatan, super friendly people.

Private Cabin #1 ON OCEAN + Meals, San Blas Island

JessicaRating, 5 stars39 months ago
We ended up staying at a cabin on another island as this one we originally booked was having issues with the water supply. It was a bit of a hassle sorting out our payment options as they wanted us to cancel the original reservation to pay in full through their website. We ended up paying the additional cost separately rather than canceling our Airbnb reservation. The overall experience was nice. Luckily we knew what to expect prior to our stay (as others have mentioned, this is not a luxurious experience). Connecting with nature and interacting with the Guna Yala residents were a couple of highlights for us. We fell asleep to the sound of ocean waves and ate some of the best seafood we’ve ever had. Some cons would be the overcrowding; do not expect it to be a private experience, it was tough to find a space on the beach that we didn’t have to share with others. The communication could also have been better. We didn’t appreciate the last minute notice that our original accommodation wouldn’t be available. It left us rushing to reserve another cabin in time for the early 5am pickup.

Lighthouse Reef Belize

MichaelRating, 5 stars27 months ago
Wasn't sure what to expect booking an AirBNB 70km from mainland Belize on short notice after finding out that both resorts at my dream dive destination were totally booked out. I was thinking it would be rustic. But instead arrived to find hot and cold running water (a luxury on this island) with a shower and flush toilet (the main resort uses composting methods, love the eco vibes but having a hot shower and a fresh environment between dives is a huge plus working in Mark's Favour). Name dropping the host got me a return boat ride at regular price on a week when both resorts at first swore it was impossible to accommodate me. Fully functional bar fridge running off solar power, enough lights to get through the evening and an all important floor fan. This island is HOT at night. The fan was life saving. Big private yard. Sunny spots when you want to get warm, but lots of shade at all times of day too. Just follow the iguanas. They know what's up. Did I mention diving? 🔵✔️ Thanks Mark!

Studio in paradise with 365 views and a pool

LeoRating, 5 stars14 months ago
This was a wonderful place away from the crowds and noise we couldn't have asked for a better set up for my wife and I. We rented a golf cart which made getting to the house a lot easier as its a bit of a walk from the split ferry . We loved the North side of the Island and its peaceful lifestyle . we spent our days exploring the South side and its many restaurants and bars . We spent our nights eating on the North side of the island at Happy Lobster and our favorite restaurant of the trip Lotus . both are very close to the airbnb . La Fogata is a nice Pizzeria option as well. Bliss Beach is on the far north end and is a nice beach resort .

King Lewey's Island Resort Pink Seahorse Cabana

KatyRating, 5 stars4 months ago
This is handsdown the best place I have ever stayed in in my life! Our experience here we will treasure forever. Not only is it stunning and so intimate especially in the evenings when the day guest have left, the staff are the kindest people and very attentive. We had the absolute pleasure of meeting and spending time with King Lewey and Queen Kathy and they also made sure our experience was truly unforgettable. This tiny and beautiful island has so many fun activities to do and the food and drinks are 10 out of 10. I couldn't recommend staying here more if I tried!
