Bishopside Holiday Barn, converted barn on farm

ThomasRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Perfect stay with beautiful surroundings and a very homely and natural feel. I particularly loved the cassette player, fold out wooden desk, lamps lighting and general aesthetic made me nostalgic for the 2000s without feeling at all dated. A lovely natural getaway in the peaceful North Pennines. Amanda was responsive, helpful and friendly. I would give 10 stars if I could.

Garden Cottage in tranquil North Pennine valley

MairRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We loved our stay at the cottage. Peter and his family were kind hosts, allowing free access to the beautiful grounds at their property. Our puppy loved being able to chase the resident dog (Betty) around the secure garden, a first for her! The cottage is immaculate and even nicer than the photos. The location was perfect for quiet long walks, remaining unspoiled from tourism. It really was lovely and we’d love to come back.

Panoramic Pods Heritage glamping pod with hot tub

MaroussiaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Absolutely lovely stay at Neil and Sue's pods! Neil helps you out upon arrival, bringing your stuff to the pod and explains the amenities and the hot tub. Pods are super cozy, with a small kitchenette with a microwave, toaster, kettle and a hotplate to cook on, bathroom with toilet, basin and shower, and there's a cozy log stove in the pod. They preheat the hot tubs every day, so all you need to do is kickstart the fire to maintain the temperature and enjoy! The view was absolutely breathtaking, and I personally loved seeing all their farm animals around all looking so well cared for! 10/10, will visit again and recommend to everyone looking for a cozy, quiet, private getaway!

Victorian Cottage with gardens by river, Allendale

Chris & JennyRating, 5 stars4 months ago
This is quite a find. Helpful host, friendly neighbours, lots to see and do in the area and despite its rural location, a lovely little Indian restaurant about 200 yards away that you can walk to (take one of the supplied torches with you though - it’s dark at night!). There are lots of cosy Airbnbs out there, but often in dressing them for letting, the hosts render them a bit sterile. That’s very much not the case here. You are staying in a cottage full of warmth and memories. It’s a privilege to have been able to stay there.

Private Annex in Corbridge Farmhouse

StephenRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We wanted a countryside location and enjoyed walking to Corbridge as well as travelling to local sites near Hadrian’s Wall. The Annex was a great base, and we managed to cook in the alcove discreetly fitted within the living room. Sonja and John gave recommendations for routes, pubs and hidden gems such as Allen Banks and Steel Rigg car park. Sitting in their garden was great too, as was the welcome pack for our arrival. Many thanks again for sharing with us.

tranquility @1 shaws park

KarenRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Janet and Rob are friendly hosts who greeted us when we arrived. we had an amazing 3 night stay in their annex. The bed was super comfy and the rainfall shower was easy to use. We loved the garden and the visits from Jasper their friendly cat. You can walk into Hexham in 15 minutes and you are so close to all the Hadrians Wall sites.
