Holiday rentals with lake access in Cathkin Park

This was the warmest place in Winterton that we have ever stayed in with my team. The house was absolutely clean and hospitable as described in the images. There is absolute safety, comfort and homely touch.

We had a Great time at the Cottage. We had Everything we needed, there were great Walks starting from the House, on one of the we were accompanied by Zebras ✨. Imke is a Great host, Thanks!

This unit is part of a well-established and long-popular resort in a fabulous location within the central Berg. It's an excellent base to explore the many attractions this part of the world has to offer, but the resort also offers several amenities in its own right.

Shiloh Cottage is a lovely cottage in a truly beautiful spot with amazing views. It’s very well laid out, with excellent communal space, two downstairs bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and a huge master suite upstairs with bathroom and balcony. There is loads of storage and the photos don’t do it justice. In terms of what we needed, the communal inside and outside was great and the outdoor braai area fabulous. The WiFi was mostly decent except when there was a big storm that knocked all the local area out! It’s very accessible for lots of activities and hikes from Monks Cowl. Everything is about 10-20 minutes away. Easy access to supermarkets and local eating spots, we particularly liked Dragonview Lodge for the great view and amazing food! We cannot recommend this cottage highly enough!!!!

From the moment you arrive, you are met with majestic mountains. The space is well maintained and spacious. Great for families. So incredibly quiet and peaceful. Lots of local birds pop in to visit. Good hikes in the area. Pack an extra torch as the power can sometimes go out, but there is a gas stove and small backup inverter. Worth a visit!

We spent four days at Mount Champagne in the summer holidays. Accommodation was perfect for our family of five. Estate very peaceful. Lovely living room and open plan kitchen, equipped with everything you need. Braai area outside was perfect for the evenings. The location is excellent, with easy access to everything nearby - lots of activities, short drive to Monks Cowl for hiking and to Champagne Sports Resort for golf. Would certainly book again.

We had to cut our trip short due to unforeseen circumstances but the time we had there was great and we will definitely be back. The house was very comfortable and felt like home. We loved the estate and all the wildlife. Beautiful view of the mountains! The owner of the house, Kim, was also wonderfully attentive, friendly and kind. Highly recommend Serenity!

We had an unforgettable stay at Lake Zonk in the breathtaking Drakensberg mountains. Nestled right on the lake’s edge, the views were absolutely stunning – especially during sunrise and sunset, with the crisp air and golden light ushering in the winter season. The accommodation was spot-on for a mountain retreat – cozy, warm, and thoughtfully equipped with plenty of blankets and heaters to keep us snug. The fireplace, both inside and outside, added that extra touch of magic and made evenings feel truly special. One small frustration was the number of flies around – likely due to the season – so next time we’ll come prepared with something to keep them at bay. Still, it didn’t take away from the overall experience. Highly recommend this spot for anyone wanting to unwind in nature with unbeatable views and homely comfort. We’ll definitely be back!

We had a beautiful stay at Berghaven. More stunning views than we even realized! Everything you need and lots of great birding and hiking nearby. Kat and co. we’re lovely!

We had a wonderful stay at Berghaven and Kat was the perfect host. The cottage had a beautiful view of the mountains and the small dam on the property. It's also located near most of the tourist attractions, so everything is nearby.
