Holiday rentals with a kayak in Cat Island

Wow - what an amazing trip we had. Kelly and Windy’s home is beautiful. It’s the perfect beach bungalow! The caretaker met us at the property and gave us a tour. We found the kitchen to be fully stocked with all cooking utensils, and the bathrooms, bedrooms, and all linens were clean. We opted to bring our own soaps/shampoo, but they were available at the house if we needed them. The house was always cool between the ceiling fans and the air conditioning, and we never felt that it was overly hot. The walk down the beach is rocky but our six year old twins were able to do it no problem. We brought down the beach chairs and spent the days relaxing and snorkeling. My only con is that we didn’t stay longer. We will be back! Thank you Kelly and Windy for hosting us - it was an absolute pleasure to stay at your home in Cat Island!

Absolutely incredible home. Pictures don’t even do justice with how beautiful the beach is. Wake up and walked 2 steps down to the beach. Jana was an amazing host, we weren’t familiar with the area but she helped handle car rental, gave great restaurant recommendations as well as activities to do on the island during our stay. This was our third trip to the island, and by far, the best stay we've had! Cat was incredibly responsive and provided great insights. The house itself was beautiful, spacious, and well-equipped, especially the kitchen, which had everything we needed. The king-size bed was a treat and we loved watching the hermit crabs and lizards roam around daily. The beach was peaceful and private, perfect for relaxing. We enjoyed kayaking and snorkeling, both of which were fantastic. Power outages were minimal (to be expected on the island), and while water pressure on cisterns can be a bit low, it's nothing out of the ordinary. Overall, we had a perfect week in our favorite place and would highly recommend this property!

Our stay here was very peaceful. The location is on the beach with amazing views. The house was clean and very comfortable. The amenities were good and there were lots of small things about the house that made it special, like the outdoor porch with comfortable chairs to enjoy the fresh ocean air, clothes line to dry your swim suits, walking path for passing hermits! We enjoyed mostly the sense of peace and tranquility the house offered. The host was super accommodating, very responsive and helped wherever they can. Overall a great stay! Be sure to have a vehicle and be ready to relax and enjoy the beach views.

Beautiful place to explore North Cat Island. We especially loved the stunning views from everywhere in the house, it was well stocked, great air conditioning in the bedrooms, and the outdoor private shower was incredible. We met wonderful neighbors and everyone on the island was so nice and helpful. Could not recommend this location and island enough. Thank you very much for letting us enjoy your little slice of heaven!

Amanda’s place provides Cat island catharsis. Among the most cherished of travel experiences. Cat Island is remote, and so a real chance to disconnect from the world and restore in Bahamian beauty.
