Holiday rentals with a pool in Castro Urdiales

Lovely apartment in an exceptionally beautiful location and breathtaking views. Very friendly welcome. Wonderful place to relax and unwind.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ * Perfect stay in a dream setting * The cottage is simply beautiful: cozy, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Everything is taken care of in detail and you can see the care with which it is designed to make guests feel at home. The surroundings are even more special: a charming town of Cantabria, with an idyllic landscape that invites you to disconnect, breathe pure air and enjoy the silence. We also want to highlight David, the host, for his closeness, kindness and availability at all times. It is very much appreciated to find people like that when you travel. It's been a wonderful stay. We thought the villa was perfect for our little girl's weekend! Local taxi firms were very accomodating over text message as we could not speak spanish so we were able to Google translate and message them. (uber doesn't work in this area) The local GoT attractions do require booking to visit - which we did not realise but that was due to our own lack of foresight. The host was amazingly responsive, the water system was running cold and she was there within 20 mins to reset the boiler to get us hot water and to help us understand the cooking system. The villa itself was beautiful and the surrounding area was so beautiful to just sit and enjoy. Plenty of space in the villa and multiple bathroom and showers for larger groups of people. I would mention that having a car is essential to stay here for the local shopping and the check out process of disposing of the bins down the road.

Space was spotless, views were incredible, beaches walkable. Gorka was incredibly responsive and Igor made checking in a breeze. We picked up fresh fish and steak from the market in Bilbao and really enjoyed the charcoal grill. We loved watching the tides roll in and out of the estuary from the deck. The view changes by the hour!

Truly magical house, with furniture and fixtures that connect with the mansion spirit. Very well maintained garden and wonderful activities to do around, as well as plenty of space to rest and play back home.

The atmosphere is incredible, the house is surrounded by nature, it is a place where you can rest and disconnect. The organization of the house is very clear and very complete. Our stay was to experience the Hoznayo Rally Festival 2025, and to be able to return with so many emotions to such a quiet place was the perfect balance.

Jabi is an amazing host! The apartment was clean, spacious and the perfect size for family of 5! He left us a basket of fruit and stocked the kitchen with essentials- milk, juice, coffee, olive oil, salt and pepper! He even left us potatoes so I was able to make tortilla de patatas! Communication with Jabi was excellent and was quick to respond to our texts. There were a few restaurants nearby and the beach is less than 5 minutes walk from the apartment. Highly recommend staying here and will definitely come back.

The apartment was super clean and exactly as shown in the photos. Very well located in an area with lots of bars and restaurants but zero noise. And the area, of course, is beautiful.

The apartment was in an ideal location to visit Santillana del Mar, very comfortable and quiet. And safe parking was provided.

Come with 5 friends looking to enjoy cantabria and spend a relaxing weekend. The stay met the expectations, especially highlighting the garden and the barbecue. The accommodation is close to other villages of tourist interest and is located near the beach. The host was very pleasant at all times and catered to our needs

The house is close to the beach and downtown, there are also several supermarkets in the area. The house has everything you need, it is spacious and the access to get there is good. The community pool is fine, we went several times and were comfortable. The communication with the host was smooth. Recommended to spend a few days in Castro and get to know the village that is very nice.

Nahi is a great hostess! She accomodated my late arrival and was kind to bring some stuff for my cat. The apartment is spacious and neat, contains all necessary things to make you feel like home. The area is quite and cozy with some local shops and bars nearby. Highly recommend if you want to stay outside of busy city centre, and do not mind exploring Bilbao's surroundings.

What you see is what you get, almost. The location and the view from Josu's apartment is even better in real life. We planned for a week visiting Bilbao and San Sebastian, but left wishing we had more time in Sopela. Josu is the kind of guy you feel like you've known all your life. Very friendly and easy going. Definately worth a visit... and already on our wishlist for our next visit to Spain.

Unfortunately I could not stay in Raúl's apartment because I was wrong about dates when booking. Although the reservation was non-refundable,I contacted Raúl to explain the problem and it took 10 minutes to call me to fix the problem. I had the bad luck that while we were managing the change of date to which I was interested in,another family booked it online in those 5 minutes so I was unable to make the change. Still, Raul agreed to give me the money back, which he is deeply honored as a person and as a host and I am very grateful to him. Next year I will try to be more attentive to make the reservation and be able to stay at their place.
