Family-friendly holiday rentals in Cassowary

I can’t thank W&G enough! This was a fabulous break in a beautiful location - staying in their stylish PD cottage. A range of lovely extras (including a gorgeous fruit platter) were waiting for me and their communication pre, during and post was terrific. The plunge pool was an added bonus and I also enjoyed the upstairs balcony at sunset. Walking distance to everything (ok maybe too close to the gelato shop!). I’d love to stay again - this has been the perfect winter break. Thank you, Nicky

Absolutely loved our 10 days at ‘Frangipani House’. We’ve stayed at many Airbnb’s & this one beats them all. Think absolute beachfront, amazing ocean views, private, coconut palms, gorgeous decor, heated pool, tropical garden, proximity to both world heritage listed Daintree rainforest & fabulous restaurants in Port Douglas.

Kay was very helpful - she picked us up from the airport and took time to show us around the apartment. The apartment was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The location is excellent, handy for everything you need. There is a tour desk downstairs where you can book your activities. Overall, highly recommended.

Great owners. Very accommodating. The fridge was stocked with items such as milk and bread. A lovely place!

Beautiful apartment and surroundings. Within walking distance to restaurants and beach. Owners and admin were very responsive to questions. Beds were so comfortable and everything was very clean. Appreciated the extra towels. Internet was a bit hit and miss and no shampoo in the bathrooms (lots of conditioner though) which may have just been an oversight. We would definitely stay again. Great stay right in the heart of Palm Cove. The condo had everything we needed for our stay. The unit was VERY clean. The spa on the balcony makes it perfect for a couples retreat. It's a bit further back from the pool area which makes it more private. All the little things mattered too..like gym towels, coffee pods, tennis rackets etc. We will definitely stay here again. Gorgeous home in a stunning location! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Daintree Magic, it’s hard not to love it there. It was such a welcoming environment to come in to and had everything you needed for an off grid stay. Kate’s instructions were super clear and little touches in the fridge were very welcome. We all loved cooling off in the plunge pool, enjoying the view and listening to all the different sounds of the rainforest. Thank you Kate, you have a wonderful home that we wouldn’t hesitate to revisit should we be this way again ☺️

Mark's place exceeded our expectations. communication was prompt, clear and helpful. check in process was easy, which was handy getting in at 1am. Safe to say we were extremely satisfied with the apartment upon entering. This really is the best location at Sea Temple, having 2 separate areas to enter the huge lagoon pool was great and the whole family loved it. Having a private garage for our hire car was also a big help. We would definitely stay again. Thanks!

While it is said a picture tells a thousand words sometimes when it comes to photos of Airbnb stays that isn’t always the case. In the case of Mali Mali the photos are absolutely what we discovered a beautiful, home where the outside and the inside blended perfectly and the views took our breath away. A perfecto peaceful, gorgeous place to rest, play and enjoy a break from the hustle and bustle. It was comfortable, well stocked and close enough to shops, restaurants and adventure while being far enough away that peace and beauty surrounded us. I will miss the night sounds of the frogs, geckos and wind, the beautiful sunrises and the breathtaking sunsets and laughing in the pool with family. Thank you Wendy for making our stay easy and opening this beautiful home to us.

This apartment is perfect for a stay in Port Douglas. It has everything you need and more, and it was perfectly clean and tidy. The garden was very relaxing, and we ate outside every day. If I could, I would give it 10 stars!

We did really enjoy our time at the farm. It is so beautiful and was exceeding our expectations 😍 To live in an Australian farmhouse for 10 days with all the beautiful Australian nature and birdlife right outside the front door. Coming from Norway, this was a truly amazing experience! And the river is so beautiful. Especially when you wake up early in the morning and the mist makes it look so mysterious. Rhonda and Jack are very good hosts, and everything you need is provided. The garden is well maintained for you to enjoy, and inside is very tidy, and have a fully equipped kitchen and two nice bathrooms. Actually we did not do all the sightseeings we were planning for, only to enjoy this place by the river. It was all worth the 14.000 kilometers flight to get here! Thank you 😀

An absolute gem in an idyllic setting. From arrival to departure the communication was exceptional. The home (and I mean home not house) has everything you could possibly need and the layout was excellent for multiple families. We had six adults and 2 children and with the 3 separate sleeping and bathroom areas it just worked perfectly - everyone had their own space and bathrooms. Amazing views and facilities and great location. I would thoroughly recommend this home to anyone wanting a luxurious, affordable place to stay. Congratulations to the owners this place is definitely a little slice of paradise and to Steph for all valuable communication. Thank you again - perfection plus!

We had a very enjoyable stay here, the house is comfortable and well equipped. The house is located about a 5 minute walk from the Four Mile Beach, which we ventured to every day! Kerry is an excellent host, very helpful and friendly. We would stay here again.

Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay! The apartment was huge and had everything we needed for our stay. The rooms were spacious and the pool and restaurant were only a very small walk. The kids absolutely loved the large bathroom spa as well as the heated spa on the roof top. The hosts were very responsive to messages and check in was very simple. The apartment was clean and the beds were very comfortable. We will certainly be back!

John’s place was the perfect home for our family holiday. We all meet from interstate and this property was everything we could’ve hoped for. Plenty of space, with each bedroom having their own ensuite. The pool was definitely a favourite for everyone and such a beautiful space. We would definitely recommend this house for anyone’s trip to Port Douglas as it’s about a 10 min drive out of the Main Street and it is super private and a quiet area. It was a very clean house, John was very responsive and helpful when needed.

A very relaxing stay. The accommodation was excellent with great surroundings. Kaylene was especially helpful and responsive.

Our host was very responsive and gave us lots of help with booking the tours (and making changes since we just found out kids have motion sickness!) Check-in checkout was super easy. The townhouse was clean, quiet and pretty well located - only 3-5 mins drive to downtown. There's a pool and we used it during our stay - great place to meet other families. There are some essentials in the kitchen kike cooking oil and salt, etc. All rooms have aircon. We enjoyed our stay very much. The only small suggestion would be to provide some shower gels in the bathroom.

This was our second stay. It was just as good as we remembered it. We booked again because of the private pool and availability of amenities you would have at home.

Melissa’s place was everything it said it was! Your own private pool, beautiful views & modern bathrooms. A full size fridge, most appliances & a BBQ to make it feel very homely. We had the place to ourselves & had a nice & relaxing stay. Melissa was lovely, providing lots of information & went above and beyond to make it stress free. Any time we needed to ask a question she was more than helpful & kind. Would thoroughly recommend Melissa’s place to anyone who manages to secure a booking!

my family and I spend a wonderful 4 nights in Port Douglas and Pineapple Pete's is a beautiful home to stay in. As the pictures show its a magnificent home, well thought out spaces and has a very tasteful interior style. Everything you need is here! Would definitely return one day - thanks Sophia and Pete!
