Ivan was a wonderful host. The setting of the villa is idyllic and peaceful. The hot tub is a lovely addition! Dino greeted us and was wonderful during our stay, friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend a stay here if you’re looking for a beautiful setting not too far from many of Sicily’s beautiful places to visit. Thank you Ivan and Dino!

We had the best time at Villa Antica Aia! Nobody believed that we are really going to stay in such a lovely, clean house with a beautiful garden, swimming pool, a please to cook and eat inside and outside. I don’t need to describe more because the villa looks exactly like on the pictures!! Oriana is the best host we’ve ever had, very kind, polite and always helpful. She welcomed us with apperitivo, showed us around, explained everything, was always available for us in case of questions where to find something. Thank you again and see you next year!

Wir haben den Aufenthalt in der schönen und grossen Villa von Francesco sehr genossen. Sowohl die Villa, wie auch der phantastische Pool waren blitzsauber. Die Nachbarschaft ist sehr ruhig und angenehm und die Lage ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Tagesausflüge in die Umgebung. Die Villa ist somit sehr zu empfehlen!

Die Wohnung ist hell, modern und sehr gut eingerichtet. Der Vermieter war super nett und hilfsbereit. Das Zentrum ist schnell zu Fuß zu erreichen. Perfekter Ausgangspunkt in alle Richtungen. Die Bushaltestelle/der Busbahnhof befindet sich unmittelbar an dem Haus und von der Terrasse aus zu hören. Grundsätzlich hat Sizilien ein massives Problem mit Müllentsorgung, was in manchen Vierteln leider deutlich zu sehen ist.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans la maison de Sebastiano. Le logement n'est pas très grand mais très bien agencé, propre et pratique, avec tous les équipements nécessaires. Les lits sont très confortables et la maison calme, à 15 minutes en voiture de Syracuse et à côté de la mer. Le gros plus de la maison est sans aucun doute la piscine dans le joli jardin, dont nous avons profité tous les jours de nos vacances d'avril. Merci à Sebastiano et ses proches pour ces merveilleuses vacances. Nous espérons séjourner de nouveau chez eux à Syracuse.

Biagio bietet eine sehr schöne Unterkunft an und war jederzeit erreichbar. Ich durfte 6 Tage in seinem Haus verbringen und habe jeden einzelnen genossen. Am meisten gefielen mir lange Nächte im Whirlpool oder auf dem Balkon mit Blick auf die Altstadt. Die Innenstadt war sehr belebt und bietet gute Restaurants. Abschließend kann man sagen das sich ein Besuch Lohnt.

Wir haben zwei entspannte Ferienwochen Anfang Juni hier erlebt. Die stilvoll eingerichtete gemütliche Wohnung war für uns beide perfekt. Den schönen Blick auf die Altstadt aus dem Fenster und von den zwei Terrassen bestätige ich gerne, wie viele andere vor uns waren auch wir davon begeistert. Von hier aus haben wir Ausflüge in die Umgebung und ans Meer sowie bis nach Agrigento unternommen. Kostenfreie Parkplätze im Zentrum von Modica haben wir vergeblich gesucht, andererseits haben wir zehn Minuten Fußweg zum Auto nicht wirklich als problematisch empfunden. Die Kommunikation mit Marinella vor Ort oder mit Federica als Gastgeberin war einwandfrei und schnell. Ein persönliches Kennenlernen hat sich leider in der Zeit nicht ergeben.

Die Unterkunft von Rudia ist ein kleiner Goldschatz. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder. Rudia ist eine großartige Kommunikatorin: Sie war immer schnell zu erreichen, hatte wertvolle Tips für Restaurants zur Hand und war für Fragen stets erreichbar. Modica ist eine Reise wert, auch im Ragusa, Noto und andere sehenswerte Orte der Region zu erkunden. Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet, ruhig, klimatisiert und dunkel wenn man mag und hat einen wunderschönen Balkon für laue Abende. Kurzum: Hier kann man sehr gut Urlaub machen.

We absolutely loved our stay, watching the sunset and the people stroll by from the balcony with a drink in hand are memories we will long cherish. We didn't have a car so being walking distance to everything we needed including the beach was perfect. The apartment was a great layout for a couple with adult children and the air-conditioning was a great escape from the outside heat.

This was a great Airbnb! Perfect for exploring Siracusa!! The bed was very comfortable. The host was very friendly and helpful, made sure to greet us and show us everything and answer any questions we had. We really enjoyed meeting Francesco and I would definitely stay here again!

A truly amazing place located by the best view of the Ibla. The hammock in the courtyard was perfect. Giancarlo and Alex were very responsive and great hosts. Thank you for an unforgettable stay in Ragusa.

Comfortable, spacious apartment in a very walkable location close to everything. The lovely roof deck was the best part for coffee in the morning and sunset (and swifts). Highly recommended.

Der Garten von Gioacchino ist ein kleines Paradies. Sowohl für unsere Tochter als auch für uns war es spannend und schön, die Früchte zu entdecken und reifes Obst und Gemüse zu ernten und zu essen. Morgens ging es zum Hühnerstall, abends haben wir den Bio-Müll zu den Schweinen gebracht. Dazwischen ging es in den Pool oder zum Spielplatz. Das Haus ist gut durchdacht – es ist alles da, was man braucht. Und ein bisschen mehr (Zitronenpresse, Pürierstab etc.) Fußläufig ist ein toller Obststand, an dem man auch Backwaren kaufen kann. Ein paar Meter weiter ist der öffentliche Strand. Der ist leider voll und nicht sauber. Der Strand im Naturgebiet ist eher zu empfehlen. Dafür muss man aber einen Fußmarsch in Kauf nehmen. Der lohnt sich aber. Lido di Noto, Noto und die umliegenden Städtchen sind tolle Urlaubsorte und das Haus von Gioacchino eine Empfehlung. Er selbst ist sehr freundlich und kann stolz auf das sein, was er dort geschaffen hat. Danke nochmal für den Honig und die Papaya!

Pięknie położony dom. Lokalizacja na wzgórzu z cudownym widokiem na Avolę i południowo wschodnie wybrzeże Sycylii i oczywiście morze :) Dookoła bardzo zadbany ogród, a w nim taras gdzie można zjeść posiłek na świeżym powietrzu oraz prywatny basen. Cała posiadłość otoczona jest pięknym gajem oliwnym z niezliczoną ilością drzew. Dom wyposażony we wszystko co jest niezbędne. Michele, który jest bardzo pomocny, komunikuje się tylko w języku włoskim, ale to nie problem w czasach gdy na komórkach są translatory. To był na prawdę wspaniały pobyt. Polecamy :)

We spent a wonderful week exploring the sights of Sicily (you definitely need a car) and having the oasis of Charlotte’s beautiful home to chill in the afternoon and evenings. The pictures do not do the garden justice and is a charming sun trap where we picked lemons and rosemary for our meals. Charlotte was on hand to answer any queries - the nearest supermarket (2 minute walk away), bakery (the sweetest place a 5 minute drive away), how to use the washing machine but never intruded - it is completely your own space. We visited Siracusa, Ortigia, Noto, Ampitheatre, Avola (beautiful beach, free parking, gorgeous ice cream shop on main road) and Ragusa (1.5 hour drive but spectacular views and so worth it!). We had a fabulous week, made all the better by Charlotte 🙂

This is a really lovely villa, it’s got the most incredible garden that makes you feel instantly peaceful as well as being able to pick veg, fresh herbs and fruit. We were very comfortable - the small kitchen had everything you needed and the beds were great. There are so many outdoor seating areas it's hard to choose where to sit - everything is beautifully appointed and well designed and high quality. We had a very happy 6 days at Villa Orto. Sebastiano was super easy to communicate with for arrival and departure and the owner also popped in one day and was very friendly. It's less than 10 minutes drive to Noto, a little further to Avola where there are bigger supermarkets. Easy access to the main roads around the south east and the beaches. Thanks very much!

My mum and I had a lovely few days here. The views were stunning, the host was super communicative and helpful, and it is a very relaxing place to be. The pool is as lovely as you would expect! Highly recommend doing the hike to the ‘Laghetti Cavagrande’ as stopping off for a very wholesome and local experience at the Trattoria Eva e Zio Pippo Marino on the way home.

Pictures cannot really reflect how beautiful this place is! The amazing view from the large terrace shows all the beauty of the rich Sicilian landscape: the sunrise from the sea, Etna with its clouds and always present smoke trace, the cow bells as the only sound you hear …. The house and the garden are made with love and are a perfect place to stay! Many places to visit are within a short drive - great location that allows you full privacy as well as many sight-seeing possibilities. What makes you feel at home from the first moment - are the very welcoming and kind hosts, Grazia and Antonio. They thought of everything when preparing the house for us. They are always available for answering questions and help. Great suggestions for places to see and to eat. Thank you for everything Grazia and Antonio!

Nous avons passé un séjour merveilleux dans ce logement ! Les hôtes étaient tout simplement adorables, toujours prêts à rendre service et très accueillants. Leur gentillesse et leur disponibilité ont rendu l’expérience encore plus agréable. Le logement était propre, confortable et conforme à la description. Stunning property with the most incredible view. The pool and outdoor space was beautifuly maintained, and all the rooms were perfectly appointed. Andrea was such a wonderful host, sending personal recommendations (we loved the Sicilian champagne suggested), and checking that everything was ok. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an amazing base from which to visit the eastern side of Sicily.
