Holiday rentals with lake access in Cascais

The location of the apartment is exactly as I had hoped - in a peaceful, quiet area and within a walkable distance to local supermarkets (including Aldi & Lidl). There were a couple of incidents (one of which was totally unforeseeable), but both of these were dealt with immediately by ‘Victoria’ who manages the property for Julien. Victoria was excellent. The only slight negative, as I’m a very light sleeper, was the thinness of the dividing walls. You can hear the neighbours moving around. They are extremely quiet after about 8:00pm, but when the family gets up at 6:45am to get the kids to school, the noise starts. It does, however, go quiet again about an hour later. If you sleep like a log, this won’t be an issue for you. Other than that, the surrounding area is stunning. Access to the North to places such as Lisbon, Nazaré, Peniche is easy (with a hire car). The same applies to Setubal and Sesimbra to the South.

Le challenge était de taille, trouver un logement pour des vacances en famille avec 14 personnes, de 1 à 61 ans. Le logement a été plus qu'à la hauteur de nos attentes. La maison est très grande, ce qui a permis à chacun d'avoir de l'espace, très fonctionnelle, et bien équipée. La décoration est atypique et a son charme, on s'y sent tout de suite bien. Jorge, l'hôte, a été très réactif depuis le début. Venir au Portugal avec une grande famille, il fallait des certitudes, et il a su nous rassurer, vis à vis du logement, mais aussi de l'emplacement. Il nous a reçu à une heure très tardive dans la nuit, avec le sourire, et la bonne humeur. Il a été adorable tout le long de notre séjour, et nous le remercions infiniment car grâce à sa gentillesse et sa maison nous avons passé des vacances inoubliables. Dernier petit remerciement, sur les conseils de Jorge, nous avons fait appel au chef Edouardo, @pseudorestaurante, qui a su nous régaler avec des plats locaux.

A casa é lindíssima, tudo funciona perfeitamente bem. Tivemos apenas um problema, no último dia a água quente falhou e não voltou até nossa saída. Infelizmente neste dia o host não respondeu prontamente como de costume e a solução apresentada não funcionou. Porém considerei esse problema algo pontual, uma vez que a casa era maravilhosa e tudo funcionou muito bem. Portanto creio que tenha sido uma situação isolada e não deixei que isso influenciasse no mew review no geral. Recomendo a casa e voltaria tranquilamente. Tudo foi muito bem apresentado, a casa é moderna, super limpa, banheiro excelente, chuveiro perfeito, meus passageiros amaram.

Logement très fonctionnel, on a assez d'espace dans la pièce à vivre pour y circuler. Attention, le plafond est assez bas (je dirais 1m80 pas plus), ce logement ne convient pas pour des personnes de grandes tailles. Carla est adorable, toujours disponible et réactif que ça soit par Airbnb ou par message. Elle nous communique des instructions claires et précises avec des vidéos pour que cela soit plus simple. La literie est confortable et le logement propre dans l'ensemble (si je veux être pointilleuse, je dirais que le ménage mériterait d'être un peu plus fait dans la salle de bain). Quant au quartier il est assez calme car le logement se trouve dans une petite cours. Attention le quartier de l'alfama est très pentu et avec beaucoup d'escalier, c'est sportif d'y monter. Pour accéder au logement, il y a une trentaine de marche en pente à monter, c'est faisable en prenant son temps. J'ai passé un agréable séjour chez Carla et vous conseille d'y séjourner également.

We arrived late at night and where we are from, graffiti indicates a rough area so we were a bit concerned. During the day though, the scene showed its true colours and everyone local was amazing to us. The place itself was spotless, the bathroom was hidden in what looked like a pantry and we had a good laugh about thinking we were crazy for not being able to see a bathroom. I would definitely spend an extended stay here in the future.

I cannot express how lovely Antonio and Maria are! They were so accommodating to our late flight. They gave us a warm welcome. When we arrived, they directed us to a restaurant because we were all so hungry and hadn’t eaten due to getting in late. The place was beautiful and fully equipped. It had everything!! They left toys for my kids. There was plenty of space for my family and I! The surroundings were gorgeous and the beach that was a 2 minute drive was stunning. Maria and Antonio came to fix the dishwasher when it wasn’t working and they went above and beyond for me. I would absolutely stay here again. And it wasn’t far from Lisbon or Sesimbra (which was also gorgeous). Thank you for such a wonderful stay and being so accommodating xxxx

Anthony's accomodation was extremely beautiful and spacious. For everyone of us privacy is extremely important and we had it there all the time. House was clean and marvellous. Swimming pools was great. Anthony was a great host and was answering our questions very quickly. We would strongly reccomend this place to individuals or families and friends who want to relax and have a lovely time.

We had a great stay at Patrick's villa. Communication was excellent; he responded quickly to any queries, even printing off Latin revision homework for our granddaughter and dropping it at the house, which she really appreciated. As a mixed generations group it worked perfectly as a house, with 2 suites downstairs and 2 upstairs, all with full bathrooms. At night shutters could be lowered automatically which gave added security when travelling with 2 little girls and also ensured a good night's sleep without early morning sun waking us. Air conditioning was good with individual controls The kitchen was well equipped, everything provided. The pool was lovely, a good size and pleasantly warm, although as a minor point softer sunbeds would be a bonus. We made full use of the table tennis and pool tables, as well as using the bbq which is at the rear of the garden. The beaches are vast, a very peaceful area without the commercialism of the Algarve. Everything went very well. The apartment was exactly as described and well located. I recommend it!

Excelente localização, com fácil acesso aos meios de transportes publicos. Muitos cafés, bares e restaurantes próximos. Espaço muito limpo. Cozinha bem apetrechada com tudo que eu precisava. Os anfitriões demonstram sempre preocupação com o meu bem estar. Inicialmente tive pequenos contratempos devido a minha chegada depois do horário de Chek in mas depois tudo ficou resolvido graças ao diálogo franco estabelecido entre as partes (anfitriões e eu).

Sofia is the best host I have ever had! So kind, helpful, flexible, and accommodating! The location is perfect, within steps from the water, but quiet and private. The entire flat is cool, comfortable, and cozy. I loved it! I will come back!

Adorei a semana que passei no apartamento, o quarto é idêntico ao anúncio, cozinha bem organizada, banhejros limpos, não tive problemas com barulhos, tanto da rua quanto dos outros hóspedes, apto fica perto da estação fácil de ir pra qualquer lugar. A comunicação com a Inês e Miguel foi tranquila, precisei na hora do check in e responderam super rápido, foram atenciosos perguntando se precisava de algo, super recomendo, voltarei outras vezes (:

The appartement and the room looked exactly how it was in the pictures. The room was very lovely especially with the little balcony. Everything was very clean and the hosts were very quick to respond if there was anything. The location was fine, but the downside is that you have to take the public transport everyday to go to the city cause there is nothing in Amadora. Overall i would recommend this place and i think it’s worth what you pay for.

A cosy place in an amazing location! It took us 2 minutes walk to get to the beach, 15 min by train to get to the heart of Lisbon,direct line to Cascais too. And we were surprised to also find a hiking trail right next to the house, which leads to an astonishing view point. Ana was a great host too, very accommodating and a lovely person! The only bad thing...we had a too short stay for such a great place :)

Amazing place. Looks exactly like the pictures. The host was very friendly and supportive. Totally worth it.
