If you’re looking for a peaceful place to relax and enjoy the beach (and lagoon), this is a perfect spot for it! Gilberto welcomed us at the house straight away and showed us around. He lives in the house downstairs, so that made it really easy if we needed anything. And even though the studio is attached to the house (only on the outside), we felt like we had all the privacy we needed. We also had a great time with Sisi (the cute, little dachshund) and Lagoa (the very friendly cat). And if you’re into art: be sure to talk to Gilberto about his paintings! He’s got the most imaginative and detailed paintings 😊 The whole house and garden exude artsy energy. The studio itself is not crazy big or super modern, but it had everything we needed. Oh, and the mattress and pillows were actually super comfy! If we’re ever in the area again, we’ll definitely stop by 😊

La maison de Sergio est idéale pour des vacances tranquilles au Portugal. Pour les couples avec enfants il est nécessaire d’être véhiculées pour accéder à la plage (parking payant 1€), à pied pour les marcheurs (dénivelé important pour revenir). Le logement se situe à 20min de Sesimbra ville très agréable où nous avons passé la majeure partie de notre temps. La plage est plus pratique avec enfants mais moins sauvage. À notre arrivée la maison était impeccable nous avons fortement apprécié. Le centre ville est proche et laisse profiter de quelques cafés et restaurants de qualité. Quelque peu bruyant la nuit (route passante, chiens, …) et tôt le matin (animaux, coqs) mais rien qui pourrait nous faire regretter notre choix pour ce séjour. C’était une excellent expérience.

We stayed for 5 days with two children (1 and 5). The apartment has everything you need. It was a pleasure to sit on the amazing terrace and watch the bats and birds fly around the pine trees. Super relaxed environment. Very nice check-in/check-out with Katia who also supported us during our stay. Would definitely stay in Veronique’s house again.

We stayed in the upstairs department of the house and had the garden to ourselves. We stayed there a full month with our cat, because of a medical treatment I had to undergo in Lisbon. Agostinha really makes an effort to make you feel at home with some welcome presents. The place is very nice and cozy decorated. Great large bathroom! In the night with the window slightly open you can hear the ocean from your bed. Which I really loved. We walked to the ocean as often as we could. It is a 6 minute walk to the dunes if you know the shortest route. Agostinha is very kind and very active in her communication. I really recommend staying with her.

Mario place was absolutely beautiful. it is immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and very welcoming. Mario is an incredible host and helped us with restaurants reservations as well as local recommendations. We felt right at home and truly enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend Mario's place, it's simply magical.

O António foi acolhedor, prestável e atencioso. Éramos 6 adultos e 4 crianças e desfrutámos bastante do espaço que estava decorado com gosto: a sala era grande e tinha diversões para todas as idades (ping-pong, snooker, matraquilhos, setas), a cozinha tinha uma mesa grande para comermos todos juntos e a piscina permitiu usufruir do clima quente (mesmo em Setembro) e mesmo os mais pequenos que ainda não sabiam nadar (tinha um patamar mais subido). Anthony's accomodation was extremely beautiful and spacious. For everyone of us privacy is extremely important and we had it there all the time. House was clean and marvellous. Swimming pools was great. Anthony was a great host and was answering our questions very quickly. We would strongly reccomend this place to individuals or families and friends who want to relax and have a lovely time.

Duarte was a communicative, responsive and helpful host - we really appreciated this as there's only so much you can research online. The location of Casa da Encosta is magical, the fact you can't park outside makes it all the more special with no immediate road noise. The small terraced garden which surrounds the house is totally charming, offering plenty of little places to separate yourself from others should you wish and read a book or enjoy the view. Fixtures and fittings are of a high standard and the renovation executed thoughtfully. The feeling of being inside a jewelled box comes to mind. Yet it feels like someone's home and you feel welcome in it. A thoroughly enjoyable stay in a remarkable region of Portugal. Thank you.
