Beachfront holiday rentals in Carters Beach

We enjoyed a great long weekend here. It was wonderful to be able to bring our dog and the hosts were very friendly. Great location, right across from the domain and beach access.

A true hidden gem on the West Coast! This fabulous spot offers a serene escape, with the beach just a mere 20-second stroll away. Perfect for anyone seeking tranquillity and natural beauty.

Great group accomodation which provides sufficient space to either socialise or be independent. Lovely amenities and garden on the sea. Highly recommend.

The house has a wonderful ambience and the most stunning views. The pub at the end of the road has great meals and added to our great stay at Ray’s. We look forward to staying again and definitely for longer next visit.

We arrived at Ghost Lodge after a few long days of riding. We had booked the beach side hot tub to soak our weary bones that evening. Simon met us and showed us around, it is the perfect spot and has been renovated to perfection, down to every detail. Plenty of spaces to chill,relax or chat with other guests. A fabulous beach setting, a well designed and equipped kitchen, and a lovely bathroom. Safe parking for motorbikes even chain wax on hand if required! Highly recommend staying here and a soak in the hot tub, we saw heaps of stars and satellites (including the star link) it’s still warm enough for a bath in the morning watching the sunrise - perfect start to the day. A gorgeous place all round.

WOW. This stay was one in a million. It was amazing to arrive at the Ghost Lodge! We felt so at home and welcome in this amazing house and setting. It was absolutely immaculate, and the rooms were stunning. The backyard was awesome with a deck, chairs, and a beautiful outlook from upstairs and downstairs, and only a 20-second walk to an unspoiled beach. There were so many thoughtful touches that we appreciated (bread, cereal, excellent instructions, amazing and comfortable beds - we all had the best sleep!, all the tea towels, and the fire beautifully laid. Thank you Simon and Guy - you made us feel so very welcome and we look forward to staying in Ghost Lodge again.

The view is incredible! You can see the ocean lying in bed. Easy little walk to the beach which had unique rock structures and beautiful crashing waves. What a great place to stay!

This is a huge suite filled with luxury. Everything felt like a 5 star hotel. The top floor has a huge bed room with separate closest space. The bathroom is huge with a large spa tub that is quite enjoyable. The top floor also has a beautiful ocean view and we watched the sunset which is beautiful. The ground floor has a huge living area and a very large kitchen and desperate dinning area. If you like to spoil yourself and family with a bit of luxury, this is the place for you.

This is an absolutely beautiful rental, walkable from the end of the Paparoa track. Two of the bedrooms are technically in a sleepout configuration, but the door is very close.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this delightful Airbnb located just steps from the beach, and it was an absolutely tranquil experience. The serene ambiance, combined with the sound of waves gently crashing, created the perfect setting for relaxation. The space was impeccably clean, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. I particularly enjoyed sipping morning coffee on the balcony while soaking in the stunning ocean views. The host was welcoming and provided great local tips, making my stay even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a peaceful escape by the sea, I highly recommend this gem!

This was a lovely place to stay, I wish we had more time here on our trip. Super clean, nice amenities, friendly staff, beach access with cool stones to look at while the waves roll them over and over. We somehow lucked out and were placed in a private corner of the resort. Kids would have a blast here with all of the extra activities available.Sunset was stunning to experience. I would use their other locations in NZ too if I travel this way again based off of this experience.
